George and Dragon in South Gloucestershire

Had a bad experience with the people that go to this pub, classic ignorants/racists type of people. I will never go back, but the people at the counter were cool. One of the resident's pub dog pissed on my bag and the owmer instead of apologies to me, him and his friends were very rude and threatening me. Very bad feeling

1st time at this pub was a good atmosphere good afternoon

Went in for a pint and to watch the football while my dog was in the groomers was abit nervous but everyone was really friendly and welcoming. After the groomers I had a blow out (lucky there was a garage to change my tyre next to the pub) so went back in with my dog and there was more people in there but everyone was really nice. the barmaid was especially nice and kept filling up a bowl of water for my dog even gave my dog a treat. Will 100% go back and recommend to my friends. Thank you guys!

What a dive, no food, high priced drinks and very rude and threatening management. Definately not somewhere I would return.

A interesting pub, good range of beers,larger and cider. Has a good children's garden. Well worth a visit.

Lovely and friendly pub They have stuff for kids to play and as long as your dog is on a lead there happy 😊

Visiting friends they had a live band on really friendly pub

I came today and was greeted very nicely by the girl serving behind the bar. She was keen to make sure our party of 3 had clean glasses etc. We had been playing pool for the best part of an hour when some woman who we believe is the land lady gave me a right dressing down stating 'Wh SHOULD not be playing pool because the darts was on!' Now if there was a sign we disobeyed, fair enough, but there was no sign or anything to tell us we SHOULD not be playing pool when darts were being played! she said finish your game, then thats your lot!!! She then went and told off the bar girl, even though she said to me that the bar girl did not know the rule!!!!! This woman was rude, treated me like a child and then took it out on the bar girl who in my opinion really went the extra mile to make sure my experience here was a good one. This bar girl is the reason I have gave 2 stars and not zero!!! If clear boundaries and courtesy from the owner is what you are looking for avoid!!!

It's a great pub to be in loads of history great ciders and largers a great enclosed back garden there's always great witty banter with the happy local customers there's darts pool card games always being played along with regular disco's and a few charity events. All this and a brilliant landlord and lady who always there to serve and other help in anyway they can.. 👍👍Give it a try.

Beer not as good as it could be but it is cheap.

Village local with car park, pub games and large garden to the rear. Can be noisy due to high ceilings. Shows sports tv.

It's a well kept pub with comfortable seats. Darts and snooker available. They have a very large garden seating area. Only downside is that they have no wifi

Even as a City fan (The George is definitely a Rovers pub!) this is one of the best pubs in the area. The staff are lovely, the cider is plentiful, good pool table, sport on the TV and, for summer, a massive beer garden out back to enjoy your pint of Rattler. How the West Country should be.
