Costa Coffee in South Gloucestershire

Very disappointed to see this store is now dog friendly. After coming here since it opened, today will be my last visit. This decision is extremely unfair on people that are allergic or have a genuine fear of dogs as I do. There is adequate seating outside the store for dog owners. There is no need for them to be in a FOOD PREPARATION AREA. I assume you will lose your 5 star hygiene rating as a store that welcomes animals can’t be classed as having 5 star hygiene!!! That’s the thanks you get for loyalty

We only had coffee, which was the very delicious special Autumn Maple Hazel one, the service was kind polite and friendly.

Excellent friendly service always and a good atmosphere. Definitely recommend this Costa over the others in the area!

Super friendly staff, relaxed and clean... fab coffee!

Just witnessed a member of staff dropping a pack of cookies on the floor then kicking them towards the till area to restock the display. She then put all the packs on the floor while she restocked. (The one she kicked she did take away). Upon questioning her use of the floor she stated that people should be washing their hands before eating. So, queue up. Buy coffee and food. Open pack of biscuits then go and queue for the toilet in order to wash your hands. Yes, that's really practical especially if you have a lot of shopping or a child with you. Personally, I'd rather be able to trust that the packaging my food arrived in was clean and uncontaminated by whatever debris people may have on the soles of their shoes, as they stand at the till area to pay. She could have simply used a box or a basket to move the armful of cookie packs she was struggling with. And yes, I do have a food handling and hygiene certificate for work.

We were served by Morgan, who was very polite and helpful. As I walk with a stick, she immediately offered to carry my tray to the table, which made things much easier for me.

Not only can you get great Costa Coffee and friendly service at this cafe, but now they have fresh pastries, baked in store.

Wrost Costa I've been to very chaotic and badly mannered slow serivce with bad costumer service with no attention of notice or understanding of what your saying get more attention out of a glass mirror. Tea was cold and milk was unfresh then the glasses used for the water were dirty. Seating and tables was messy not cleared and ready for new customers crumbs with sticky cake bits inside of chairs. Had difficulty getting anyone to come clean a table waited 10 mins till we could get a table cleaned then another 6mins on top to be noticed to be served both times communication was poor and slow we won't be returning again

Love the coffee and the service. Always pop in for a cappuccino and a snack when I am shopping nearby.

Great environment to do homework here, clean table and the girl on the till had a great attitude and smiling. Fast service, i got my coffee immediately after paying.

Every time I get a toasties its been over done or under done and is not cut ! How is it so hard to cut it plus its cold, the coffee was made poorly this is a constant every other costa I use is great what a massive disappointment this branch is !

We come in here a lot and we always have great service and lovely coffee, the lady who I thinks runs it is amazing, she’s so frieny and nothing is too much. By far the best costa around

Been coming in here a few times after dropping my little one at nursery. I’ve been served by Gosia every time and no matter how busy it is, she is soooo friendly and happy. This young lady remembers peoples orders and has the patience of a saint. She always speaks to the little ones and ensures everyone gets a good service. Thanks Gosia! Costa this lady is a keeper!!

I was served by Gosia on a busy weekday morning. She was by herself and had a lot to do, but she was so smiley and welcoming! She made an effort with every single person that came in. She was just wonderful and deserves recognition :)

Had a meeting and popped in for chai latte with other managers. Gosia was amazing. Served everyone with a smile and professional manner. Had a large que but dealt with everyone perfectly. Then when quiet she was busy re stocking etc. Thank you Gosia

Went into Costa at Emerson’s Green for the first time, was out shopping and needed a quick bite, staff were friendly and helpful, young man asked me to take a seat and he would bring it over to me, fab service! The Macaroni cheese was hot & delicious, could have been a bigger portion but it was really nice, the salted caramel frapp was done perfect too, asked for a shot or coffee in it. Also had a mini Lemon cake was delicious and full of flavour. Sugar overload so came out buzzing 😂 Plenty of tables, some outside seating too. Very pleased with the service especially as it was busy. Free plentiful communal parking too, would go back here if passing.

Coffee bit strong at times but I just revert to tea. Good place to meet friends and chat. M& S sandwiches too now is a bonus.

Dropped in for a quick coffee which was tasty. The shop in general was very loud and was a bit let down by the number of people smoking outside in my opinion.

Always get a good coffee here. Food always a good selection, although , as so popular, run out lot. Cakes amazing. Seasonal changes so always a new suprize. Woukd like to see coffee cake all year round though.

Great coffee morning on a busy Saturday. The Coffee is fabulous . We had 1 Americano, 1 Double shot Latte, one soya latte and 2 lattes with extra selection of cakes rather then the rather outdated list offered on this review page . Highly recommended is the Banana and Pecan bread cake, rocky road, Blueberry muffin amongst carrot cake and milk free cake. There was also lemon drizzle cake Caramel tray bake and plenty more. Service was prompt and professional.

It's our go to place with kids. Sometimes the queue is a little bit big but the coffee is nice.

Staff are fabulous. I visited here last Sunday. Had a phone call Tuesday to say I left my wallet there. They taken the time to track me down through. I was so grateful. I had cash and cards in wallet. What honest staff. Thank you Costa 😁

Shocking service . They couldn’t even get my order right . Waited 20 minutes for 2 frappes then waited even longer for two toasties and somehow she only brought me one over . Turns out the woman on the toll didn’t put two toasties through so it only did I brought one on the receipt when I clearly gave her 2 toasties . When I finally got the second toasties she told me to leave my food on the table and go pay before I FORGOT . I will never be going back there . Absolutely ridiculous

I usually enjoy a good coffee here and i ranked it prior as 4* and that thankfully still remained the same coffee wise. This time i also ordered a breakfast wrap but although i clearly asked for a flat white aswell somehow i got bypassed by 2 other customers as the staff claimed i didnt order coffee which meant i had to go back to the till and order again which made me a little frustrated as this is now the second time this had also happened at another COSTA recently too. Granted it was clearly busy but im sure this is not unusual maybe they should consider upping staff for the rush to maybe 3 instead of 2. 🤔☹️

The staff that work here are fantastic, very friendly, welcoming and work very hard. (Too hard) But…… There simply isn’t enough staff given the location and number of surrounding shops and businesses to cope effectively with the volume of customers that they have. Senior management need to intervene and increase the staffing levels to improve the customer experience and reduce the lengthy waits. I have seen customers walk out on several occasions. The other big issue for me and my Family is the seating immediately outside the front door. I really object to having to walk through a large plume of cigarette and vape fumes to get into the shop! Simply resolved by moving the smoking area away from the front door. A couple of minor tweaks could hugely improve this business.

Pretty standard costa, always tends to have a free table, staff are friendly and coffee is decent.

Barista and check out seamless no long wait. Even offered a rocky road cake as on special offer! Tables clean and all very tidy.

One of the best Costa around staff excellent and nothing is to much trouble

Busy coffee shop next to Sainsbury's shopping store. The woman serving was a little stressed as it seemed she training the teenager working. Decent tuna melt and green tea. Tables were left uncleaned from previous customers hence 4 stars. Ideal stop off after shopping.

It was cold sat inside. Coffee tasted as usual costa. I am diabetic so sadly nothing for me to eat.

Great staff team, good coffee. Costa could improve their range of gluten free products to include cakes and pastries and not just the poor quality prepacked items currently stocked. This is a head office issue, and it means that the local team are unable to be as helpful as they would like to be. Head office, get your act together!

Nice place to meet for a drink and light lunch. Lots of choice on toasted sandwiches and cakes. Drinks cost as much as the sandwiches.

I come here for breakfast some Saturdays and I love the choice! I wouldn't give it 5 stars though because my local branch, Emersons Green, only has about 5 tables despite a huge premises!

long queue barrista didnt know how to do Xmas lattes and when challenged by customer who had had 3 before and said it didnt look like any of the previous ones or the display photo couldnt care less 🤔

Prompt service, well-spaced tables. Nicely prepared coffee as is usual across the stores in general. The only negative was that the toilet facilities weren't up to scratch on this occasion.

The Costa coffee shop in Emerson's Green, Bristol is open for sit down drinks and snacks but unfortunately the Costa Coffee shop in Kingswood Bristol is still closed at the moment.

No common sense applied to covid precautions or store layout, got half our drinks wrong and gave the overall impression of being overwhelmed with a handful of customers. Won't be returning.

My favourite (and local) Costa. They have the best staff, no matter how busy they are, everyone is always friendly while also working very quickly. Looking forward to going back once everything is open again.

My favourite coffee shop in Bristol. Lovely friendly staff.

Very poor staff behind counter, very chaotic working style. Regularly have to chase up orders as they "forget" to do it. Having worked in a Costa I would ever have been allowed to work in such a shambolic style would not recommend but not much choice of places to go when you need to do your shopping
