Geno's Kebab & Pizzeria in St. Helens

Got a mixed kebab and a chicken donner and kofte kebab...absolutely brill...they are massive...took two sittings to eat it...the meat is well cooked and tender ...proper Turkish style food. Not been for about 15 years.it was good then but excellent now .deffo our new go to takeaway

Called here tonight for a kebab for the first time. Firstly it was soooo busy which is always a good sign. We ordered and waited, watching food being prepared. The staff were lovely and I was even given some mushrooms whilst we waited because I said they smelled good. The food was fantastic, we ordered a mixed kebab, a chicken and shish and chips to share. There was so much food and at £20 quid an absolute bargain. I would 100% recommend and will definitely be back again.

Ordered a large mix kebab and a small doner with chilli sauce , salad and chips. On getting home we had no sauce or salad on either kebab.also the chips tasted as if a kilo of salt had been put on them and they were dry.probably the kilo of salt took the moisture out of them. The large mixed was like a small missing the chicken.i thought I got someone else’s order. I phoned Geno’s to complain about the shortfall on the order only to be told to stop complaining ,we are busy and the phone went down. This is the third bad order we have had over a seven month period. I thought give it another go each time but my mistake. Never again. On the plus side I have used the doner meat to resole my work boots. Job done.

We called here instead of at the Chinese, with nostalgia in mind more than expectation. Never again. The service was probably the worst I have ever encountered anywhere. The guy was rude and border line aggressive in nature. I felt sorry for the poor girl working there. On to the food, it was expensive for what it is and not good. I also witnessed one guy handling raw burgers and bread in succession, without gloves and without washing his hands. Not surprisingly, I had numerous toilet visits the following day.

Got the gypsy boxes for £18, was told they were suitable to feed 3 people, got it home and it was literally a meal for 1 the box was nowhere near full, was less kebab in it than there is in a normal portion of kebab meat. Was not worth the money atall. Was a let down as the actual food itself is really nice

Gets worse every time! The salad has been off and stinks! The chicken has gone from bad to worse. Its like chewing cardboard and its really poor quality! Wont be going again.First had this takeaway about 6 months ago and can honestly say it was amazing but had now progressively gone down hill

Tried due to having a voucher, and was not disappointed and now a go to place. Order was slightly wrong, but the food made up for it

Absolutely shocking, I had my therapy dog with me and was flat out refused service unless I left him outside... Errr no that's the whole point of him being with me, I've never had an issue in any pubs or restaurants or supermarkets. The lack of understanding and disrespect was basically FU, Used to love it there but well FU too

Fantastic quality, good price, authentically cooked over charcoal. Had the mixed kebab, donner, chicken and shish. Highly recommended

First time I have had food from here (family I was eating with have been numerous time). Can't fault it. Ordered over phone ans was tols 10 minutes! Chicken kebab was very tasty as was cheese and garlic bread. They even added onion to it when requested! Will be going back.

Visited Genos this evening on the way home from the match, I was listening to my music and texting at the the time, I took out my earphones and asked for large kebab and chips, they asked if I wanted it together, I said yes since I’m walking home, I gets home to find “small donner meat and chips” this isn’t the first time this has happened, I should of remembered, my fault for not checking, beware!!!!! They obviously knew I was distracted with my phone at the time...... not happy!

Having come to this place for longer than I can remember...and realising that the site can draw critics...and have never defended them shame on me..so best everything fresh in town... best lamb chops and all locally sourced...fresh tomatoes etc.. oh and rest of kebabs/pizza are boss also.. cheers guys and the advice on Anataloya

We have just started going here for takeaways, we have been three times now the food is excellent and the staff are friendly, it's great value for money as even the small portions are huge

Pizzas are super here and so are the Kababs. Good price and you never have to wait to long. Staff are very nice, best place in town.

Call here quite often and wether its a pizza or kabab the food is spot on. Good price and staff are fantastic. Dont miss out on a great place.

Had a pizza and chicken kabab the other day ond the food was the best ever. Tasty good value for money and you are not waiting long if you go mid week. Fantastic.

Ordered 3 large kebabs. All 3 had yesterdays dry and cracked donor meat, tiny pitta which meat was put on top and not in. 1 piece of tomato and cucumber on each and no lettuce just all cabbage. Meat was just warm. Couldnt eat it and had to be the worst ive ever had.

At £6 for a small chicken kebab you would expect it to be edible but what I received was a greasy tasteless mess, my son's donner kebab was also vile with the chips being warm and soggy. Not good enough considering the place had just opened and considering this is the third time recently that we've been served rank food from here we will not be ordering again, shame because we have been ordering food from this takeaway for many years.

2 hours late and food was cold , battered sausage had no batter nuggets were cold , kebab was cold ??

Done over charcoal, cooked to order. The place is spotless ( more than I can say for some places) I will, and have returned. I assume it has changed hands because of only having a few reviews? It's certainly worth a visit if you want a takeaway.

Awful and rude staff and the food went straight in the bin. Never again..!! Can only recommend to avoid.

Ordered a shish kebab and a chicken and lamb kebab got to say it was terrible. The shish kebab was so fatty ended up bining it and the chicken and lamb kebab was pathetic definatly not worth the money. What has happened to genos????? Defo wont be going there again

I am a huge pizza lover and if I'm ever on Duke Street or not too far, this is where I will go! Pizzas are very nice, reasonably priced and the place is clean. Staff friendly too :)
