I love Gennars, I don’t care how long it takes, good food takes time to prepare, you want fast food, go to a McDonald’s. I want good food and that’s what I get. The food is amazing and it’s the only place I go to for a decent Chargrilled burger. It’s a win every time for me and they’ve never changed their standards. Love them, don’t ever change.

The pepperoni pizza has changed, I literally couldn't eat it, it was far too spicy.

Ordered food at 5.30 said it would be here ETA 6.50-7.10 which was a long wait anyway but I understand it was a a Saturday night so it is what it is. Phoned at 7.30pm as no sign on the app it was on the way and had very hungry young children to be told it will be coming out next. Phoned again at 8.30pm as still no sign to be told it would still be another 30 minutes or more! Had to cancel the order as the children were literally starving by this point and needed to go to bed so I had to end up cooking them something and I wasn’t even able to eat as I had not been food shopping. 3.5 hour wait for pasta and garlic bread is just not acceptable and god knows what time it would have eventually turned up if at all! Our whole family night was ruined as everyone was hangry. Do not take so many orders if you cannot keep up with them very very disappointing.

Shocking service waited nearly 2hrs for delivery, Guy on phone not helpful at all very disappointing will not be using again.

The Mozzerella starter had very little if no Mozzerella in the breadcrumbs and was burht

Gennars is a very welcoming family run Italian takeaway. They provide outstanding food of the best quality, this is a ferm favourite for our family. If pizza is your guilty pleasure, you will not be disappointed! See you soon 😊

Not sure what's happened with this place but whilst our pasta order was fine and very tasty, their pizza and garlic breads are nowhere near as good as they used to be - tough crusts and thinly scattered, dried-up toppings, very light on the cheese. It used to easily be the best pizza in Cleveleys, but it's sadly slipped.

New to Gennars, so tried a bit of everything. So fresh, everything really tasty, early and friendly delivery. Can't get better than that! 5 stars!

Waited 90 mins garlic bread cold. Husbands seafood pasta had not much seafood in it. Carbanara was OK. This place used to be fantastic sadly no more. Sorry but last time we will order from here

This is the only place for a good burger within miles. Properly chargrilled, a real burger not something out of a packet. Chips are amazing and pizzas are always fresh and delicious. My go to place.

I discovered Gennars just over a year ago. Having previously wasted money on other takeaways in the area in search of decent Italian food I was delighted to have found an actual authentic Italian. I have worked in Italy for many months at a time over the last ten years and admittedly it’s made me a bit of pizza snob. I have searched in vain plenty of times for that genuine Italian taste and tried so many different places that advertise this but deliver generic cheap ingredients on the sub par base yet charge over the odds. However finally, much to my delight, I found this first-rate establishment where you get that specific authentic taste. A proper base, that isn’t thick stodgy or under/over cooked, that irreplaceable genuine mozzarella and every topping I’ve had has been delicious, not the mass produced rubbish you get from the big pizza chains that leave you feeling a bit stuffed and ill afterwards. And the price is very reasonable! I would happily pay more. Especially when you consider this is a small family run business, from Italy (maybe Sicily so apologies in advance!) compared to mass produced dominos where they are probably making 90% profit from the manufactured cr*p they charge £20+ for. Also the other dishes I’ve had, particularly the chicken cutlets and black pudding with mushrooms have been great every time. I almost never leave reviews on places, even when they are good but because I’ve wasted money on other sub standard establishments I feel I need to recommend to other people who may have previously had unsatisfactory ventures to takeaways in the same area. To summarise, basically this is now, my partner and I’s go-to take away. Our only complaint if I had to think of one, is that we wish they had a restaurant we could sit down in because I have no doubt the modest and professional gentleman at Gennars would provide a fantastic experience. 10/10 take away. We always order from Gennars and love their food, especially their pizzas. However, we were disappointed last night. My garlic bread piccante was dry and lacked its usual amazing flavour. My partner’s burger was very burnt. The chips tasted like they’d been reheated. Not the usual standard we get from here. Maybe it’s because we didn’t collect like we usually do? It won’t put us off ordering again as it is usually perfect and tasty but last night was just a bit disappointing. We did like the chicken stroganoff though, that was lovely and full of flavour.

Been before and everything was great. This time was very disappointed. All food lukewarm and not very tasty at all. Will not be returning.

We have had a few takeaways from here. It is the best takeaway around. Tonight we had a couple of mushroom risottos crema alla pollo and a stroganoff, chips & garlic bread. Everything comes piping hot, amazing food, great taste. Delivery drivers always lovely.

I have this when my family have takeaway from the indian a few doors away as not a fan of indian food. Great Service and really tasty authentic food. Their burgers are homemade, huge and really nice. Recommended

Everything we have ever ordered had been A1! Bruschetta, Ribs, Pizzas, Pastas, Burgers have always been superb. The pizza dough is the best around!!

Our son recommended Gennar’s so we fancied a change from Chinese/Indian and ordered our meal. It arrived an hour after ordering online and was really lovely. We had Spaghetti Bolognese, Terry’s Special and a Garlic Bread plus a free Tomato Garlic Bread which was a bonus. All delivered piping hot and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will definitely be ordering again!

Probably the worst takeaway ever , cold and soggy. 1 hour and 40 minutes from order to delivery. 90% went into the bin. Could have cooked a full meal while waiting. Never again.

Order was ready on time food was hot, we collected this order from the shop. When we got home we had items missing Chicken strips plus no bacon on the pasta which we payed extra for online. The portion we're good size.They did deliver the missing Chicken strips.

Our normal take away was closed so after checking out google reviews this place came up, have to say not sure we will be going back to our usual after tasting this food. we ordered 2 pizzas and 2 garlic breads, garlic breads were fresh and tasty and the pizza had loads of toppings, cannot fault at all, cooked to perfection, thin and crispy bases, delivery was approx 45 mins and on arrival we had received a free garlic bread which was an absolute bonus, friendly delivery driver and would highly recommend.

Looking for somewhere to eat. Stumbled across this one, and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. EXCELLENT pizzas. Well cooked, loads of topping, and not greasy. We were collecting, and due to a larger order it was 10 minutes longer than we'd been told. Got a free garlic bread! The only problem is, we were on holiday, otherwise this would be a regular.

ordered terrys special @£8:50 opened the box to see a reasonable amount of spagetti, but no sauce at all. Enough bacon salami chicken and chirozo to fill a serving spoon with 6 olives and a touck of olive oil.thnk goodness we had ordered garlic bread which wasdoubled up to two on offer to fill us up. , Whata we had was tsty enough but no where the amounf needed to satisfy a hungry man

Not happy with the service we received tonight, have have used in the past and no problems- tonights was a nightmare- not ready, had to wait over half hour later, no free offer of pop or garlic bread and spent £58 - food content was all split and sloppy- lasagne didn’t even resemble lasagne- very disappointed

Absolutely delicious. I order every now and again and the food is always on point. Love the Spaghetti Primavera, a new one for me this evening and the stone baked tomato garlic bread is lush! Definitely what I needed on this cold evening. Would highly recommend!!

I had a very bad experience with our order, it was cold and tasted awful and just like salt. The delivery driver was scruffy with ripped clothes on and looked like he needed a bath.

Second time I’ve ate here and enjoy it every time. A little bit more expensive than other takeaways but definitely worth it.

Ordered 2 meals on Friday night for my wife and me. Ordered on line but its cash only. Food was fantastic and portions very good. Garlic bread is made fresh and very nice. Couldn't fault it apart from can't use debit cards

Always wanted to try this place as its round the corner, always looks clean and busy. Ordered via justeat, although order through blackpooleat its cheaper. Prices are average, menu is simple, Italian food it doesn't go on and on with tons of items. Easy to order, arrives within stated time. Food isnt greasy at all, very tasty. Would order again

order placed at 18:10, for delivery at 20:45. It's now 21:15 and still no sign of the order. Upon calling we were told that it's not even been sent yet. Very poor service for the price. shame, because the food is usually quite nice. but it's not the first time of late delivery.

We’ve had a few meals from Gennars and they’ve always been superb. Their pizzas are the best around in my opinion, the pasta dishes very tasty and good variety. The food is always fresh and the home made touch makes it stand out from any competitors. Sadly, their customer service is possibly the worst I’ve had. My missus ordered two pizzas and a pasta dish last Saturday at around 18:15. In fairness the app said the food would likely not be ready for delivery until almost two hours at around 20:00 so there was an expected wait especially with it being Saturday and their busiest day. However, when the food still hadn’t arrived by 21:00 and after numerous phone calls were made trying to get through we’d all but given up hope. The phone line was constantly engaged, on one occasion I got it to ring but only got the answer machine. This is important however as I left a message explaining we still hadn’t received our food obviously jarred them into looking for the order and they realised it had been missed. I called until I eventually spoke to someone who never once uttered an apology and merely told me it had been missed and would be with us soon. It turned up at 21:30, absolutely no apology offered which I find insane. They did give us a free garlic bread, maybe that was just their way of saying sorry without having to actually say it. I said something the following day on Facebook and they said they’d been busy and missed the order but I still received no apology. They did go so far as to say they’d looked through orders to try and find our address to apologise in person and asked me to call them with our address. I decided against it, I thought it best to just leave it and not use them again. I didn’t want a refund or another meal for free, it was apparent that the only reason they’d addressed the comment on Facebook was in fear of losing business. At the end of the day we’re just another punter who’s meal sadly got missed and they don’t see it as a big deal, certainly not enough to apologise, but what they don’t see is a family with two young kids sat waiting for their dinner until almost 10 o’clock at night.

Delicious food and delivered faster than expected. Overall amazing and I'm definitely going to order again.

three minutes short of four hours for a delivery ! although the garlic bread and chicken strippers were nice the pizza and lasagne were burnt and inedible and we were given a bottle of orange that was an insult, we have since been given a three pound credit which is unacceptable the credit should have equalled the cost of the two items that were burnt and inedible plus something for the wait time of almost four hours, totally unacceptable
