Si sales con amigos, honestamente te aconsejo que no vayas aquí. La música era terrible, el DJ era terrible y rechazaba las solicitudes de canciones de todos y solo tocaba lo que le gustaba. A la mayoría de la gente no le gustaba la música. El ambiente es desordenado, sucio, barato, grosero y no seguro. La mayoría de la gente allí es gente que no pudo entrar en buenos bares y clubes, ya que es demasiado tarde. No aconsejaría a nadie que vaya a este club. Incluso el personal no es acogedor. Lo único positivo que tengo que decir sobre este club es que al menos tiene buen alcohol. Además de eso, completa la basura. Nunca más.

Happy hour... 2 gin based cocktails a meagre £6.75...... enough said. Normal cost was £8.50. Took a while to get served and poured but £6.75 😂😂 Bit lively as well...

Vine aquí un jueves. Si bien el lugar estaba bastante ocupado, esperar 30 minutos en el bar es inaceptable. He estado en este bar durante más de 4 años. Olvidé lo bueno que es. La mejor parte es que estás en el corazón de Londres. El aparcamiento puede ser complicado pero el ideal del transporte público. Cerrado a la estación de metro de Oxford Street y muchos autobuses públicos. El martes tienen clases de baile (en el sótano) y baile hasta la 01:00. ¡Disfrútala!

Ecclectic place, 2 floors bar on top clubby underneath. Really great friendly staff especially security staff. Pretty good prices, mix of music, mix of people. Every time I'm in London I make sure I go, open until 3am. I love this place.

Stumbled across this place by accident when looking for a place to chill with friends on a Friday night. Went during happy hour which was 5pm to 8pm so drinks were pretty cheap, really cool atmosphere, music was really good although super loud for the fact that it was only 7pm so hard to have a proper conversation, but good vibes nonetheless!

I was really looking forward to this, but couldn't help coming away, feeling we had been ripped off.... Having booked a table for the England football quarter final, I was then asked to leave a £25 deposit which was fine. I then was supplied further information via e-mail regarding the pre-order of drinks as sometimes the bar could get quite busy. Included in these prices were 10 bottles of Heineken for £25 and a Pitcher of Heineken for £15. I decided not to do this and take my chances on the day. Arriving on the Saturday, my partner and I were led to our table (Basement area) which was fine with a good view of the TV and informed that the bar would open downstairs just before the match and if we wanted to order food we could do this upstairs, which again was fine. After looking at the menu we decided on a sharing platter @ £16, a bowl of fries for £3.50 and a Pitcher of beer for £15. . By my maths a total of £34.50. Speaking with the barman, he was aware of my £25 deposit and then asked for a further £22.50.? I questioned this and was informed my drinks had been covered by the deposit and the £22.50 was for the food? Not wanting to make a scene, i payed the money and returned to my table with my partner and my Pitcher of beer! Now in my mind, when i think of a Pitcher of beer, I think German style approx 3-4 pints of fluid? Its fair to say that Gem's pitcher resembles a narrow flower vase, that I doubt was holding any more than 2 pints of fluid. ( I had just been charged £25 for this and overcharged for my food)! Certainly the 10 bottles of Heineken for £25 were looking like better value. Our food then arrived, which to be fair was very good. I had in the meantime passed on my concern at being over charged to a member of staff, who promised me she would look into my tab and get back to me..... She didn't.? Before leaving I tried one further attempt at speaking with the bar staff and explained the situation, only to be told my £25 deposit was for the beer pitcher and the £22.50 was for my food?? So overcharged for both then? Overall a shame as a cool bar, good food and a great atmosphere for the food. I just hate being ripped off and albeit a small amount of money, it still leaves a sour taste.

Had a work group evening here last night. Although it was quiet it had a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There was a happy hour 5pm to 8pm and cocktails were so cheap and tasty. We also had chicken goujons and chips that were very nice.

I’ve visited this place alone at weekend and the door man rejected me to enter he asked me like weird question, who you with, I said myself and he said you can’t alone go don’t come back! I said what’s the reason he said no reason go away!

Been here twice. Had a great time on both occasions. First time it was late on a Friday night. Most places in Soho either weren’t letting anybody in or had big lines. Even though this place was packed there was no line to get in. The DJ played rnb bangers all night. If you like rnb this is the place for you.

Tan pronto como llegamos al todo el personal fue muy amable con nosotros. Un bouncer cuidado de revisar en mí y a mi a mis amigos (creo que era principalmente porque estábamos un grupo de mujeres, que parecían muy pequeños) estoy muy agradecido por la tenían porteros como tuvimos algunos problemas con algunos muchachos tratando de conseguir la droga. Después deseche el chico agradeció todos. Mi amigo perdió su teléfono y nos las arreglamos para llegar como el encargado con la habían encontrado y entregado. Como fuimos a dejar el club nos dimos cuenta de el hombre que fue el ofrecimiento de drogas era todavía fuera así la tenían porteros dejaron salir por la puerta de atrás. Conozco a mucha gente decir Tenían porteros en Londres como horrible y agresiva, pero la verdad es que el Tenían porteros en este club era increíble y estoy muy agradecido de que estaban allí, quién sabe qué hubiera pasado si la tenían porteros no eran muy agradables.

The staff in this bar are without doubt the most sullen, incompetent bar staff I've ever come across. I'm not sure who's managing this place but you need to review your recruitment process!

Viernes por la noche para tomar algo después de trabajar, no era tarde, alrededor de las 9:00 pm. He tenido 2 pintas y decidimos pedir un par de grandes y coca cola. Camarera derramó dobles aunque nunca me preguntó. Por el momento me di cuenta de mi tarjeta ya ha tocado la terminal. Cuando pregunté ella fingió que ella escuchado diciendo que funciona, pero es obvio que no lo hizo. Ella no parecía sorprendido, pero me ofrecieron otra ronda para mantener el precio en la factura. Parece que la práctica allí.

Fuimos a este sitio por lo de la hora feliz, ya que por una consumición te dan otra igual, total que nos decían que si no teniamos el ticket no nos daban la consumición. En ningun momento nos dieron ningún ticket. Ladrones!!!!!

Popped in after a trip to the IceBar @ 3pm and we were the only people there. That said, the waitress was still very nice and had bags of personality. Drinks were fine and prices are as one would expect.

Very unprofessional management, dancing near where dj plays I got told off for dancing too close apparently. They play really awful music too and when you request a song dj kept on being really rude. This bar is overrated and lacks the wow factor which they falsely advertise on their website.

Good lighting, good sound, big dance floor, strong drinks, short waits, clean bathrooms, and friendly staff. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking to dance.

Entramos de casualidad y la verdad es que nos gustó bastante. Tuvimos la suerte de disfrutar de la happy hour. Había mucha gente y tardaron un poco servir pero el personal era muy agradable. El local está decorado de manera original y muy acogedor

Another two wonderful visits to Gem bar over the last couple of weeks. The welcome as always warm and uplifting from Andrea and Jago. This place seems to just get better and better, especially since the remodel last year. Great Music, Great Drinks and above all fantastic, friendly and professional staff. See you again soon. xx

I work minutes away from Gem bar so I'm a regular but only just joined trip advisor so thought I'd say that Gem bar is a great venue to have a quick drink (happy hour till 8pm) and also if you're hungry, the food is also very nice. Bar food off course but very tasty. Staff are friendly. I find the door staff to be polite but if they see anyone messing around, very drunk etc, they will ask you to leave. Standard practice though.All in all, I've been there dozens of times and had no issues.

I went in this bar with my work colleagues after we finished our shift, around midnight. We had a couple of beers and a bottle of wine. I got to say, the bartenders were accommodating and DJ was decent, but the bitterness came at the closing time. One of the security told me to finish my beer before going out. I've politely asked if I could just hide it underneath my jacket until I get away from the bar and then finish it, since it's only a plastic cup. He then responded aggressively, raising his voice, telling me to never come here again! FYI, I did not resist to leave the place, I even rushed my colleagues, because I knew the staff of Gem wants to finish too. His behaviour is unacceptable, I work in hospitality too, and I personally could never be so rude to a guest. I believe the management should look into the people they hire, because in this sector of employment there's no place for people like this.

Firstly, let me explain that this review is NOT based on any bad experience with service etc. Actually I found the staff quite helpful and kind. The venue is not bad at all either - it is not great but would do. However the minute I entered the bar I felt so uncomfortable and, frankly, unsafe. I understand that the Gem Bar has little (if any) influence on what sort of people are coming there however for me, a rather petite white girl, the experience was terrifying - staring with a guy trying to grab me by my waist on the stairs down to the lower lever, ending with another one making sickening comments - I felt like a product and not like a woman and I know that my friends felt the same therefore we left after literally 10 minutes. Now, I appreciate that there are people looking for this kind of attraction (unrecognisable electro music, men looking for a one night stand, etc - that was the impression that I got!) however if you are like me - looking for a nice club where you can dance without risking someone will try to push their bodies toward yours and where you can enjoy a better music, I would say it is better to avoid this place.Again, this review is based solely on my personal preferences and I think it is just the way it is - you like some places more and some less. Unfortunately I cannot imagine going back to this place as whenever I think about this venue I feel really uncomfortable. Now, I am an outgoing person and I love parties, but this was just one of the worst experience I have ever had. Sorry.

This is our local fir drinks after work, been here loads of times since 2012. Gem had a refurbishment last year and can see this makes all the difference. The bookings team have been excellent every single time. I've signed up to the neighbour membership (Free of charge) which gives you all sorts of offers. I emailed in the afternoon on Tuesday and asked if we could have a area for an hour an half for the next day thinking its short notice so may not be possible or will just get a small area. What we received was a private area with a foosball table and beer pong game area, the area I booked was for free of charge and a bottle of bubbly thrown in. the customer service is always great every time I attend. The range of drinks are really good and they have happy hour!!!

So I booked a last minute birthday party, my plan was having some dinner at the bar and after that moving to the club downstairs. Although there are not many options in the menu (for dinner they only serve platters, at lunch you can get a proper meal) it was exactly what I was looking for, some nibbles and some drinks. After dinnner we moved to a booth at the club and I didn't have to pay a huge deposit.

The bouncers were so friendly and welcoming, a joy to see as you first enter Gems. The bar staff very friendly and also welcoming, something you look for when visiting London. A must visit for great music new and old and a relaxed crowd. I am 50 and I didn't feel out of place around the many ages as no one made you feel awkward.Yes I would visit again when I come back to London. We never ate here, we came in for a drink and to get lost in the great music.

Called in to meet friends in this great located bar. Decor inside dated and tired.Very disappointed with service, ordered 2 drinks and the barmaid then went off to make 20 jaegerbombs leaving me waiting.Drinks then served in vile plastic glasses that had seen better days, as has this bar. Charging £13+ for a double g+t I expect it in a decent glass.No desire to return.

Recently went here for a friends 30th and what a great night!! Friendly staff, great location, tasty drinks and all the beats being played that keep you partying until the early hours. The night is what you make of it.... so make it a good one!!

I used to go to this bar quite often when I lived in London few years back, but I went during my holidays on December this past year and I was badly surprised with the changes in the quality of service and cleanliness. We had some drinks and food, the food was quite ok, but the bar... Beers hot, Cocktails with bad fruit served on dirty glasses, rude staff... I ordered a watermelon fresco and the melon was disgusting, I told the waitress, i think her name was Alexia and she told me that´s the way it was! An italian girl who seemed to be the one in charged shouting at the satff...What happened? I used to love this bar!

Fuimos un grupo de amigas a tomar algo después de haber estado de turistas paseando por el centro. Nos pareció una buena opción ya que desde fuera tiene muy buena pinta. Al entrar nos saludó de muy mala gana una chica italiana, nos dispusimos a pedir unos cockteles que tenían solo zumo, por el precio que tienen ya podían poner más alcohol y los vasos podían estar más limpios.Fui a comentarlo en la barra, ya que me parecía un robo y la misma chica italiana me dijo que eso es lo que había, que si quería mas alcohol que tendría que pagar más, mirándome con desprecio. A esto se suma las miradas y risitas detrás de la barra hacia mi y mis amigas, supongo que no les gustaba que fuesemos gays, algo bastante extraño en Londres...En fin, una velada horrible en un sitio que nunca recomendaría.

I've been there for a lunch with my partner. After 40 minutes of waiting (there were just us and other 4 or 5 customers) the appetizer and main course arrived together, and COLD. The table was dirty. We spent almost £50, too much for the bad service and the low quality of the food.Never again, sorry.

It was Halloween weekend and a friend had organised a night out to meet at Gem Bar. As I had heard mixed opinions of the venue from people that I knew I thought I would give it a try anyway.And I will not say I was disappointed as I was not. Because on arrival the member of staff at the door very professionally told me where the reserved area for my group was and the bar staff were just as friendly and professional.And compared to some other bars they were quite fast with service at the bar too. What put me off a bit though was the music played at the venue was current but not of the best standard in my opinion.What I mean is the tunes came across as very badly remixed and was quite difficult for me to dance along to. Like i said, it's just my opinion as some people did seem to enjoy themselves. I would just personally recommend that they make their venue music a bit less remixed and play more original versions of songs to dance to.

Went for our xmas party, and for £35 per head had 30 bottles of beers (Bud & Beck’s), wine, and soft drinks, and so much food for 10 people. Only 2 issues. 1 – music was to loud, so a few of the older crowd went to another pub after eating their food. 2 – the beer’s weren’t cold enough, they need bigger containers and more ice, and come in plastic bottles.

Me and my colleges had our work Christmas party here. The staff behind the bar were rude and obnoxious. I strongly advise big groups go elsewhere

The best place for a group who have different tastes in music. The two floors are great. Does get very crowded though so best to get a table to rest those tired feet!

Been there for a Xmass lunch with the Company and was not impressed at all. definelty need to improve food quality!

I run social events group for Londoners - I always love going to and dealing with Gem, the management and events team are great, really helpful with our individual requirements and very patient! All of the staff are well mannered, very polite and always make an effort - unlike some West End establishments - The food is great and the DJ on Saturday night is very good - I would recommend - we always have a good time and pleasant experience there. Very busy but that's to be expected for a bar just off of Regent Street! Service was quick, bottles of beer were warm however and the security staff had a chip on their shoulder. Needlessly aggressive.

We stopped here for a drink after dinner in chinatown. We really liked the atmosphere in this bar the assist Manager was really friendly and welcoming . It was our wedding anniversary and she offered us a free shot. Don't miss out this pub when you go to London.

Visited this place only to feel totally ripped off. There was no alcohol in the drinks and the prices are hideous. I would give this place a wide birth and it should be checked out by trading standards !

Went here for a friends birthday. Wasn't impressed at all. The drinks are overly priced for this place. The music throughout the night was crap and the crowd itself was very down market. I would not recommend this place.

We found this bar by accident after an NFL event on regent street.It has a great happy hour (I think 4 pints cost is about £11), and has a casual dress code which is ideal for just nipping in. Happy hour is a few hours long which is always good!It's become a bit of a regular for when I'm in London after discovering it, nice bar, good location, and happy hour.

Awful. Simply awful. No other word to describe it. The drinks are watered down and the staff are ill disciplined and shameful. Attire must be perfect or no entry. Despite wearing a smart shirt and shoes, with correct soles I was told to leave the premise with no ill manner or any other form of bad behaviour; I was simply enjoying a drink before I was asked to leave the premise with a security escort. DO NOT GO!

A year since my last visit at the Gem bar and I have to say that it's looks promising.Just waiting for my Chicken Club Sandwich while observing and waiting to get Gemmed !I have to say that I like the new look and the new set up. Funky and fresh. The bar looks more organised and clean - big thumbs up for that !Finally as I heard there's some people here who can make some descent cocktails if you an old-fashioned or a nice Manhattan.But we all know that, the real test comes when it's busy and crazy.I'm wondering that how is this big change effected the costumer service ?!I'll get back to you guys soon but for now, I'm trying to finish my Chicken Club Sandwich which is a beast by the way and for an amazing price as well ! We used to go to Gem at least once a week as it was close to work, and had a great happy hour. That was really its only attraction - we spent most of our time stood outside. Since getting a job elsewhere in the city, we slowly got bored and started looking elsewhere, and haven't really had a reason to go back. However, once I got an email that the bar had been refurbished, we decided to go down on a Saturday to check it out.The décor is nice - 'Shoreditch lite' I called it - but the booths were comfy and the layout hadn't really changed. However, the décor wasn't the only thing that was overhauled.Gone are the surly rude bar staff, often young girls in hot pants and push up bras making crappy drinks. The staff were wonderful, attentive, fun, polite. The new cocktail menu was brilliant, nice and imaginative and made a difference from the same old crap they churn out in town. The food was hugely improved - we opted top share a classic platter and I could have honestly eaten a whole platter to myself!The 'photobooth' was so much fun, although maybe a bit misplaced to have it right next to the toilet/clockroom unless you like a stream of strangers walking behind you iny our pics! Also great to know that they kept on the bathroom attendant Liz, who has been there years and is always so much fun to chat with.All in all, I am definitely adding Gem back onto my rotation of places to go for drinks/food.

I attended the re-launch of Gem bar and was thoroughly impressed. What was not to like, cocktails, food, Selfie mirror, graffiti artist and more! When it comes to after work drinks, I wouldn't look any further with cocktail offers daily and some great sharing platters, your night can't simply start any better. I have organised work parties in Gem and events Manager Vanessa has been amazing not to mention the girls at the bar. Will be back probably monthly and highly recommend especially with their new look.

The best Bar in London, amazing location and super friendly and charming staff. Sat on the bar and ordered pitchers of Porn star Martini. It is the best cocktail i have ever had. Great music and amazing vibe. This is always my go to location whenever I am in London. Had my Birthday bash there recently and all my friends have fallen in love with the place as well. This place is more than just value of money. So upset that it is shut for refurbishment but super interested to see how the new look will turn out when we visit next week. Definitely recommend it to everyone.

Amazing staff and amazing atmosphere, I couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome along with the best service. So accommodating and any issues they had, they made sure they fixed. Definitely coming back.

Staff is amazing, food is amazing, the whole atmosphere is amazing!Staff are always so helpful and honest and try their best to make the customers feel welcome.. I mean I entered a busy venue and still heard a ''hello'' being screamed across the bar. So lovely.

I didn't think much of this place. Not really any atmosphere but it was quiet upstairs. Downstairs was blocked off due to a private function which is fine but the music was much better downstairs.

Visited Gem last weekend, was amazing. Would defo recommend pre booking to get a great deal on drinks I even got a free bottle of bubbly for it being my birthday!! Staff were great and the music too!!

Un bar sympa sans prise de tête dans le cœur de Soho, nous y sommes allés pour le lunch du midi des plats de qualité et de fraîcheur, un service super sympa une grande carte des boissons est proposée de quoi satisfaire au plus grand nombre. De plus au moment où l'on commande une boisson avec un plat une réduction est faite sur ce dernier, de quoi alléger l'addition, qui ne sera pas excessif surtout pour le quartier !!

We came a Saturday afternoon which was very nice. Food and beverage was really good and surely something to recommend. Glasses though was quiet dirty (something you'd probably would expect from a pub/club like this). What bothered me even more though was the service, which was so poor. The girl who served me was in such a bad mood, no smile whatsoever. Just very moody -and the more I ordered the more moody she became. She should maybe be thankful that I paid her salary that day instead. It was just really disappointing regarding the service unfortunately.

I had my birthday gathering here recently. I love Gem because it is always a great place to go out with friends because the drinks deals are good, the music is always on point and the crowd is always a good mix of people who are there to let their hair down and have fun.I will be back again very soon!

A hidden ‘ Gem ’ just behind Regents street. We’ve been visiting Gem Bar for a couple of years now and, apart from being great value in the happy hour periods, the staff are lovely and really professional. Sabina, Andrea and Jago are so friendly warm and welcoming, and know how to make a cocktail that kicks... We tried some of their Tapas style snacking menu recently, the calamari and pop corn chicken with Korean-style BBQ sauce, were really tasty and went perfectly with a fantastic bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon at a steal of a price. At weekends it full on party time, but early evenings especially on a Sunday Gem bar is a cool and calm oasis. See you again soon girls! XXX

I went to this bar with a friend Monday 13th June afternoon time till about 9/10 o clock. The bar i must say has a lovely atmosphere, the decor brings a nice feel to the bar also. They do serve food but didn't have it personally but would try again next time i go. Drinks are decent price they have a 50% off drinks which is a bonus so 3 drinks you would spend £15 or less which is a bargin. The staff, well one particular didn't speak good english as such as i wanted to know more about the drinks which i would recommend training on in regards to this and also staff were not always aware of customers but the manager or supervisor was lovely in general. I would come again

Stopped by for drinks after a visit to regent street. Looked like a fun place and it was happy hour. ordered a dry martini and long island iced tea. both drinks were badly made and one tasted like diet coke and the other had too much vermouth.

Nous cherchions un bar pour faire la fete un samedi soir et nous sommes tombes au bon endroit. Nous avons paye 5£ a l'entree mais nous avons pu profite du bar et danser, les cocktails etaient excellents. Ensuite nous sommes alles dans la partie club qui se trouve en bas. La musique etait tres bien un melange de rap rnb des annees 90 a aujourd'hui.

Andrea and Brian rock! We had a wonderful time here. Very special place where they get to know you. Talked to us and had a good time. They didn't kick us out at closing time. Highly recommend!

We were greeted by the glamourous geordie on the door she welcomed us and made us feel special. She found us an area and made sure we got waitress service from sabinka all night! Great staff- also the bouncera were really friendly

After a very friendly hello from the welcoming doorman, we ventured into Gem Bar on Saturday night for a much needed drink after shopping. The hostess (lovely northern accent and very charming), couldn't have been more helpful and found us an area that had a reservation at 9pm. Before 9 she found us another area as we were on a roll with the cocktails. Will be recommending to friends as the staff were very friendly (clearing good at their jobs).

I have been to Gem Bar a lot in the past 5 years and it has actually started feeling like our own place. Myself, my family and my friends all enjoy celebrating birthdays and occasions at this bar. The staff is very friendly and helpful, even the attendants in the toilets are very helpful. You are looked after well at this bar. I have been to birthdays, hen nights, leaving parties and even just for drinks. The music is great and the atmosphere is just right!!

We had a private area for my sons stag nightWe were looked after exceptionally well all night long with great service in a very friendly atmosphere.Could not fault the staff who helped make it such a great night .Music was spot on and age group was mixed club atmosphere down stairs more relaxed up stairs will definitely be going back Lee
