Nice place, good staff. Tried to get in the evening before, it was slammed, live music, so go early.

Just couldn’t get served. Wasn’t busy. But apparently two women waiting to order a pint are invisible… newcomers served before us… if they were men. So we left!

Good vibes with music and beer. During the night there are too many people so it sticks a bit of sweat…but you have the little courtyard that solve this problem. Beer was good! Had a great time!!

The bar is not open to families. No children allowed even for lunch.

Was here every now and then. Especially to hear “Schiehallion”. This is music that goes to the heart! Great atmosphere. It's a shame there's nothing to eat there anymore.

The oldest bar in Inverness! We came during the day, and stayed much longer than expected due to the good pints and amazing hospitality. The bartender, Eileen (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) was an absolute gem. She was so friendly and engaging and made our visit truly special. There are quite a few beers on tap, some local (which was great for lil ole tourist me) and some from other countries. They also have fun shots and martinis. I wish I could have stayed for the band that was setting up. Thanks so much!

Good atmosphere but the prices are a joke. We ordered a double whiskey (advised by the waitress) and were charged £22. The prices were not published nor were we advised correctly. A shame because the atmosphere is good, but we feel cheated.

When in Inverness, you must stop here for a drink! Great experience! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

The beer and the drinks were great but unlike on the site there is no food

This was an exciting bar for drinking, with a lively atmosphere coupled with the red lighting into the night! The counter is very smooth and maintains this colour, staff were very welcoming too. I was able to get the rarity of Red Stripe on pints here and this was a fresh drink, enjoyed both sitting down and standing in the party night!

Well that proablay the worst bar I have been in a long time, smell vomit or worst

Very lively and one of a kind experience during the live music sessions. Even at 6 pm on weekends it’s full of people and energy. I came here for the first time as a tourist and I was not at all disappointed. It was a fun experience to listen to Scottish live performances. Now I live in Inverness and I come here every Saturday. Gellions Bar is the oldest venue in Inverness and features live music 7 days a week, along with an extensive range of Scottish Gins, Whiskys and Beers. They feature a wide range of cask and craft beer, with 24 taps in the building, and always have at least 8 Scottish Beers on draught dispense. From legendary house band Schiehallion, Scottish folk legends like Davy Holt, to up and coming new talent from the likes of Callum Mackenzie Jones or Ruairidh Maclean, Gellions is truly the home of live music. Small bar with live music most nights. We went quite late, so there were mostly 'regulars' at the bar (for a lack of better word), but nonetheless nice vibes.

We were there several evenings and were always thrilled. Nice service, fair prices and open-minded, friendly people. The live music that is offered almost every evening is great!

We were upstairs for a cabaret and it was lovely. Despite being a small venue it didn't get stuffy. Downstairs recently I danced in the busy bar to djs and live music. The clientele is middle-aged generally and my gf used to use it as her happy hunting grounds.

As always a lovely place to watch a football match and chill out on a Sunday afternoon bar staff are great and very welcoming

Great place music dancing drinks

Gellons is a good late night music bar where we tend to have a few drinks before calling it a night. It's a mixed age group clientele and always has a friendly atmosphere. Music is always provided by Inverness's best pub acts and again suits most age groups. Only negative I had is that the side doors are always left open by customers heading out to smoke leaving the rear of the bar extremely cold during these winter months.

Great pub and music but bearded barman decided to take it upon himself to get us thrown out (both male and female and not youngsters). Actually instigated possible incident by hitting one of the party on the back of the head then running and getting door men to throw us out

I have socialised in this bar many times over the years since my friend bought her B&B 10 years ago … always had good fun until last night ‘ HOGMANAY ´ again was having a good time until the bouncer approached my sister who was enjoying listening to he singer …was asked to leave ! After her she asked why … the next thing we knew the police then arrived and escorted my sister outside !!!! Having been completely dumbfounded on what actually happened… we came to the conclusion that the power hungry bouncer needed to make his night more interesting and get some action in !!!!! ‘ PATHETIC ‘ And as we suspected as per usual.. were in another bar this eve and said bouncer passed me ´ on his night off ‘ and said ‘ oh did you get in touch with the police ‘ and then laughed … if that isn’t being provoked I don’t know what is ????!!! Well im sorry not quite sure who some of these bouncers think who they are ? Supposed to be there to to keep people safe .. however it can be quite the opposite ! At this point tread carefully going in to this bar !!!!

I work in a nearby pub. i finished my shift, , had one drink. my coworkers decided they wanted to go to here. they sell cigs, so i asked to buy a pack. A rude bearded man showed me and my 6 friends outside, said we were barred because we asked for something they sold. i got past the 2 door men, with my id both times. i wasn’t even drunk. just finished work and could prove it. i had 2 drinks i was basically sober. still no idea why he kicked me out. didn’t let me tell my friends. luckily i ran into them on the way out. we all left. horrible experience and genuinely will never be back. no idea what that was all about, i would never do that to a young woman on her own. disgusting gellions

Live music and the most fun I've had in a while.

A mainstay of the live music scene in Inverness. Our visit was on a Wednesday evening. Part of a works night out. On our timeline this was sandwiched between the Highlander and Foxes. Excellent tunes and champions league on the box too. Jamie Cormie was an absolute hero holding our kitty. No waiting, no mistakes shots a plenty. No only is he good, but he's handsome too.

Another cracking night. Canny beat it. A go to place when in snecky.

Just went on for a couple of drinks on a Monday night. There were two people in and the server. Pretty boring atmosphere but it was a Monday

I didn't have any food so I can't say anything about that, but the bar staff were great and had some good banter, a good size dancing area, good sized smoking area and the toilets were very clean.
