Really good service, staff very friendly. Food was well prepared and cooked and presented well. Very reasonable priced

Where do I start, if you want sea views, friendly staff and the best service then look no further. I had fish and chips which was SO GOOD I had to have another portion! If you are a mocha drinker like myself then I couldn’t recommend any where else other than Gee Whites. Live music during the summer months by the sea with beer/cider on tap! What more could you ask for. Highly recommended!

Definitely a favourite of ours. GeeWhites serves delicious freshly prepared food right on the seafront - personal favourites include the chicken burger, fish & chips and beef burger 😋 They have stunning views of Swanage bay and a good selection of seating space, it’s a great spot to relax and watch the world go by - especially with a hot chocolate with “all the goodies” in hand! We find them very reasonably priced and staff always provide great customer service, even during extremely busy times. Would definitely recommend :)

We have been to G Whites on so many occasions, the coffee is amazing as are the pizzas, salads and seafood, the views are very special to us and the atmosphere second to none. Many of my family visit Swanage very regularly and G Whites is our go to meeting point, we like to meet here for coffee, meals, evening drinks or a takeaway! We look forward to coming back very soon. 😊

Great location and good staff but the food was poor quality and uninspiring. It’s disheartening to pay lots for food that was so cheap and had little love.

We came to Swanage on a day trip and chose Gee Whites for lunch as it has fantastic views over the bay and plenty of seating. We had a bottle of Pinot Blush which wasn’t cheap but an ice bucket was provided. We shared a seafood pizza which was very tasty but again not cheap. The tables were being cleared regularly. The downside is that the toilets are the public toilets nearby, which were average. Overall we would visit again and we would recommend.

Sunday afternoon on a bank holiday and we saw a table and got a drink, good Guinness here so a win straight away. After some people watching we decided to eat and the food was good. I liked the mussels alot and the whitebait was cooked just right. Prices were fair and I like the buzzer which lets you know when food is ready to collect. Only moans I have was the (6) onion rings, which looked like Iceland rubbish, they would be much better if they were real home made ones, so easy to do. Also cutlery was running low and the ketchup is not a good brand in sachets. The salt and pepper was in decent containers that did not blow away so maybe the ketchup and mayo could be in something similar. But overall it was a great location and well done by all involved. Will be back when we are in Swanage.

We have visited Gee Whites lots of times this year and have always had excellent food and service from staff. We have been to the music nights and they are a great night with draught beer on tap ! And great live music. Would recommend a visit to this little place in swanage .

We had heard good reviews about this place so decided to give a go for lunch today. We were extremely disappointed. My husband and I had been craving crab sandwiches so, despite the hefty price tag (£12.90), ordered them. They were horrible- wet and tasteless. Our daughters were also disappointed by their paninis. The staff we encountered were rude and dismissive. The lunch cost us around £60 which is absolutely disgusting for sub-standard food, rude staff and a grubby environment. We felt completely robbed. Suffice to say, we will not be returning.

Really fancied dressed crab for lunch and found a great waterfront spot. Friendly staff, prompt clearing of finished tables. However at £17.90 for a dressed crab served with salad, bread and chips I had fairly good expectations but was disappointed. Only the ‘wet’ cheaper brown crab in the shell - barely 4 or 5 strands of white meat in it at all, felt cheated 🙁

Absolutely disgusting. Paid £19 for a seafood pizza that was inedible. No mussels , frozen prawns and the clams were like rubber. Paid £5 for cheesy chips and there was a small amount in a burger sized carton. As you can see from the photos from our visit last year there is no comparison. On first complaining the supervisor said she wouldn’t give me the money back just because I didn’t like it. I explained and showed her by pulling the rubber clam that the food was inedible . She said they had ran out of mussels and the rocket salad they had on it last year was not her problem as she wasn’t there last year. I asked if the place had changed hands which she said hadn’t but we’ve been going every year for years and never experienced anything like it. The atmosphere and the professionalism of the place has certainly changed and for the worse! Unfortunately after getting absolutely no where with the awful supervisor and just an offer of more chips ( really) and to email her boss , my husband did swear and we were asked to leave. In hindsight the swearing was not good at all but when the staff are laughing in your face and the supervisor is batting here eyes at you he saw red. Stay away people , head around the corner and spend you hard earned money there.

A lovely place to eat on the seafront after a very long walk around Swanage, the pier and then Peverill Point snd Durlston Country Park. Crisp battered fish, crunchy chips and large portion. Cider good. Nice view too.

We often visit as a local, always so friendly and welcoming and staff are very attentive. The food is always great and there is a little something for everyone. As a local, we often pop in and have lunch or dinner depending on the day :) Mind the seagulls though, make sure you watch your food, eat up quickly lol. Overall reasonable price and lovely staff. Always lovely to return time and time again.

Forced my family to go here after reading the reviews. Pizza and fish were lovely, Chips were ok. Some food came out cold and was also a long wait whilst others on the table had theirs. They forgot part of our meal and when we informed staff they were very unapologetic. staff attitude lets it down.

The location overlooking the bay is brilliant. We were lucky it was sunny and dry so we could enjoy food there. The day before we had lunch I had a pot of cockles with vinegar. Delicious! For lunch my wife went for a burger and said it was lovely. I went for the skewered tiger prawns, with salad, chips and sweet chilli sauce. Lovely and glad I chose this. Loads of prawns and very tasty. Really friendly and helpful staff. Lovely Al fresco setup and hard to find any fault!

Had a pizza and mussels. The pizza was thin base with a nice balance of toppings and a good fresh thin base. The mussels were cooked in a garlic cream and were simple and effective, letting the seafood shine through. Simple, well done flavours, freshly made. A tiny bit on the expensive side but competitive with other vendors in similar locations. If they’d undercut the other vendors it’d be 5 stars!

Very disappointed with crab and cucumber sandwich for takeaway. The cost was £12.50 representing extremely poor value for money. It looked like a well-filled sandwich but consisted predominantly of thick chunks of diced cucumber concealed by a thin layer of crab. The predominant taste therefore was of cucumber which overwhelmed the taste of the crab. Won’t be visiting again.

Arrived late on Friday evening after travelling down from London . We had classic fish and chips with curry sauce. The fish was fresh and beautifully cooked and delicious. Great chips and sauce . The staff were lovely and friendly , great service. We were taking ours away, but what a great location to sit and enjoy your meal .Highly recommend

Perfect location for a lunch, food is brilliant and with very friendly service. Don’t worry about the queues they go down quick and the food is ready to collect within minutes. Top tip make certain you order sufficient drinks to avoid re queuing . Table service available on the roof but allow time to get a table as the roof area is extremely popular. I was debating between the dressed crab salad or the seafood platter.I chose the dressed crab salad and it was really delicious.I’m glad I chose this and not the seafood platter.Someone on another table had the seafood platter and it was definitely not worth the £30 they were charging for it.So in my opinion I made the right choice.

Lovely spot by the waterfront and good range of Fish & Chips and Pizza. Ordering was confusing as Fish & Chips and Pizza had to be paid for separately, the reason given was something to do with 2 different kitchens in operation, sounds odd to me and means queuing to order takes significantly longer. Serving staff were friendly and when the food came it was good quality.

Worst attitude I have ever come across, menus seem to be kept a secret, have to go on a mission to find them , queued for 25 mins , ordered paid , went to collect after buzzer went off , pizza all good chips , nice went to take my crab sandwich, she yelled at me that’s not yours ! I had ordered a crab sandwich, the order had been put through wrong , she called the bloke over asked him what I had ordered he looked bewildered as it was busy he had no idea , she then said she’s ordered it wrong and now I’ve got to make it again,then charges me more said it was my fault, she must have been having a bad day , no excuses for the way she spoke about me as if I were invisible!wont be going back

The best chiabata I have ever had. 3 so called fish fingers ( long pieces of fish in batter and chiabata. What a great lunch. I would definitely have them again. Watched all the staff cleaning and disinfecting tables. What a refreshing thing to see. You must visit

We stopped here for lovely drinks and dinner on a sunny summers evening. Thd rooftop bar + restaurant is a great place for people watching. We had seafood suppers, and very nice Dorset gin + tonics.

On a hot seaside Saturday in Swanage, my wife and I had been wandering, and were much in need of refreshment. She had an jce cram and I had an iced coffee. It clearly wasn't't the most sophisticated iced coffee I've ever had made for me. but it hit the spot exactly. Such a pleasant young girl serving at he refreshment hatch, so much so, that later, we called in again and had teas our way back to the boat to Poole

Crab Sandwich and Prawn sandwiches were great, along with perfect views over Swanage harbour. Highly recommended.

This place seems sadly a bit of a former shadow of itself. The location is almost unparalled with views over Swanage bay, but the restaurant now feels overpriced and generic compared to what it used to be. Have been visiting here for now 15 years, appreciate it's changed hands a bit, and having had very average experiences in the last couple of years, tried to visit again. The food and drink seems to be a bit over priced (appreciate prices have gone up), but the customer service seems to have plummeted, and there seemed to be little welcome / interest in pleasing customers. Had a couple of experiences of what I can I only describe as couldn't care less service, by what seems like a comparatively leaderless ship customer service wise. This should be a gem on the sea front - to whoever is running Gee Whites, please try and make this back to it's former self - it was amazing in the past it wouldn't take much to improve the basic food and importantly to make your staff seem a bit more engaged.

We love Gee Whites 💙. We come to Swanage several times throughout the year, no matter what the weather. Prosecco, pizza, panini, lovely staff, sea views - time to chill and relax.

Based on customer reviews decided to visit this place all the way from Sandbanks. It was a busy bank holiday weekend so the queue was long which is very normal on a busy day. After nearly half an hour wait, managed to order but once the payment was processed we were told that it’s 45min wait. Waited an hour (for a portion of fish and chips and a pot of mussels in cream) and when I went to the till point to enquire, three separate teams members had to ask me what I had ordered, in the end I was told that it was actually been prepared and that I should come back when the buzzer goes off. I told them that I wasn’t sure if the buzzer works because it took longer than what was initially communicated, he did check the buzzer and reassured me that it was working. I had to wait another 10min before the order was ready. I asked if I could have ketchup, mayo and cutlery, I was told it’s all round the corner. I then noticed that there was no butter (which should have come with the mussels in cream) I went to ask for butter and noticed that there is no ketchup, mayo and cutlery available at the station. At this point all I want to do is eat my food that I had to wait for one and a half hours in the cold. I said to the member of staff ‘if I’m having to wait this long for my food I would have expected some form of level of good customer service, the butter to be served on the plate and that I shouldn’t have to be looking for ketchup, mayo and cutlery’ because my food was getting cold. An elderly gentleman heard me say this and then all hell broke loose! Straight away he said to me we don’t have table service, it’s all self service and that I should get everything my self and if I don’t like I should take my money and leave because they don’t need customers like my self. The problem was none of the bits I wanted was on the station like it was communicated to me. I got the necessary bits given by another team member so I can start eating. He didn’t stop there he came out to my table, started shouting at the top of his voice in front of maybe 20 other customers saying that I have no manners and that he wonders where I come from, that I was being rude to his staff and that I cant talk to his staff like that. I must leave and never come go back because I don’t deserve to eat there and also once again that they don’t need customers like my self. Just to sum it all up, it was a traumatising one and only life time experience for my self. His ego just wouldn’t let it go even when he saw all I wanted to was to eat. He had to follow me round to my table, cause a scene in front of all customers so I would end up leaving. I have never seeing anyone deal with a customer with such manner. Kebab shop owners are doing a lot better job when dealing with drunk customers at 2am in the morning so I suggest that he goes and works in a kebab shop to get his basics right. When I enquired about he’s details so I can write a review, I was told that they can’t share such details. At that point he came back out and said that he will be writing a bad review about me too. As I was leaving he continued screaming behind my back saying that I should leave and never go back in front of all his other customers. It’s not a restaurant like they state. It’s almost like a large kiosk with tables out side.

We were here tonight for a girls night out. Arrived late to miss the rush- food arrived really quickly and was delicious!!!! . The best part of the night (apart from the pink fizz) was Charlie - he cleaned our table before we sat down, cleared our table and was the most polite young man ever. I walked up to the order point to order our food at about 11:30 on Sat morning and was greeted by the most miserable, begrudging man I have ever encountered in the world of catering. Food arrived on time and it was fine but nothing special. Fortunately, due to the vast choice of excellent eateries in Swanage, a return visit won't be necessary.

They are very busy at the moment but are still cooking lovely fresh food . We only arrived on Thursday but have already had the tempura prawns, fishfinger sandwich and bacon and Brie panini .Be prepared to wait but it’s worth it .We have always found the staff friendly.

We normally stop here for a drink and some food each time we visit Swanage - it is nice to look over Swanage bay and sit in the sunshine. Pizza’s are particularly good and they have a nice choice for fish dishes plus burgers etc. Great for families as seating is outside and the kids can look at what is going on around them.

We purchased 4 ice cream waffles and had already bought someChips from a chip shop for the baby as she has a milk allergy so it’s very difficult to purchase food for her when we are out. ImmediatelyA woman from the purchasing area ran out toTell us we could not sit there as the baby was eating a chip bought from elsewhere. We explained that we had just bought 4 waffles from her restaurant but she was not in the least bit interested, her excuse being you wouldn’t go into Greggs eating a sausage roll purchased elsewhere!! Why on earth are you not prepared for UK people taking a UK holiday. You’ve all been moaning about lack of trade for the last 18 months, now it’s thrown in your lap and you still ain’t ready. Your menu is too big to cope with. It ain’t rocket science.

Went to dine with my family, went to ask for allergen file and information. First server advised that I picked what I wanted and asked at the counter if it was free of allergens. When I asked if i could simply have the allergen information before hand to be able to select items, I was then asked by someone more senior what the problem was. I explained the situation and that I was requesting the allergen file / information. Then I was told that they were going to refuse to serve me and my family!! The lady was abrupt and stated that she was so busy that she didn’t need to bother with the hassle of this and that she wasn’t asking her staff to do anything extra when they were so busy. Never had such an issue or been dealt with in such a rude manner.

We were on a day out in Swanage and decided to visit Gee Whites and just so glad we did. I had the tempura prawns with fries and salad. The prawns were cooked to perfection and served with a little pot of sweet chili sauce. The fries are served in a cup on the same plate with a good portion of salad, which I love. My friend had scallops with fries and these were cooked to perfection. The price was excellent. The service was excellent. Although they were extremely busy the tables were cleared and sanitized as soon as they were vacated. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Swanage.

Stayed in swanage for a week with family.Had 3 ice creams from This place, they were all amazing and well sized! The bubble waffle was also nice but lacking on ice cream side, would also of preferred it on some sort of flat plate instead of a cone shape.. Only criticism would be that the servers were wearing 1 glove each, but were touching and handling all the food I.e, cones, flakes, waffles and even the money with the naked hand which during covid I found very off putting. Thought it was a one off but it was the same each visit. (Recommend them to wear gloves on BOTH hands!) Food was excellent, although the seagulls are everywhere which even land on tables to take peoples food.Would be good if the restaurant had a cover outside to prevent this happening.Fish and chips were amazing! Will defo be returning!

This place has nice location but very unorganised. The staff look bored and aren’t really here to serve customers at all. We came for a coffee, was third in line and waited 20 minutes. They weren’t busy but the experience felt laborious! I would walk into the village if you want better coffee!

Gluten Free Options......is a stretch at best. As a ceoliac I always have to research where to eat and when somewhere says Gluten Free Options available I often hold out hope of a choice. I was disappointed when the person at the till taking the orders looked at me like I had two heads and had to go and check because he had no idea. After I asked about three different things on the menu he ended up getting someone else who basically said they could not really guarantee anything was gluten free, they could clean down the griddle but that was a lot of effort and that I should be OK with a jacket potato or salad. I won't be returning and they really should not advertise on their trip advisor they offer gf options.

Scooples, the ice cream parlour charge grockle prices. Yesterday paid £7.00 for two medium whippy cones...today paid £5.80 for the same! When I questioned yesterday’s charge I was told depends who serves you! NICE!

Had a family meal, food was nice, only complaint is asked for Jalapeños on a pizza, these were red and definitely not Jalapeños, blew my head clean off and I won't even talk about the burning next morning lol Apart from that all was good and reasonably priced.

Cracking find, great service and great food and to top it off with a wonderful views across the bay, when ordering breakfast was make aware of the delays and that there will be a little wait, that was fine with me and I considered this great service.

Just returned from a day trip to Swanage and spent considerable time looking for somewhere that did not just do bog standard pub grub and fish & chips. Managed to quickly find a table here outdoors and had a great dressed crab salad with a nice bottle of Rose. Place was pretty busy but turnover is quite quick (without feeling rushed). All staff were very friendly and helpful, really enjoyed our lunch, was exactly what we were looking for. Great way to spend a sunny lunchtime with a fabulous view.

First day after Covid Lock Down, April 12th. 2hr drive to Swanage and grabbed some food for takeaway after a long journey.1st Comment . Chef no wearing any face protection2nd Comment ... On preparing some chips, which were on the side in a bowl, he decanted them into takeaway cartons with his hands, no tools used AND to top it off, he ate one. So hand to mouth and no protection3rd Comment. He then went to plate up some salad and once again, no tongs and bear hands.REALLY first day after lockdown and no consideration for hygiene. Wont be going there again
