GBK Resorts World Birmingham in Solihull

My sister and I visited this restaurant before going to a concert. It’s in the perfect location to get to the Resorts World Arena, only a 5 minute walk away. We arrived at the restaurant to confirm we had a booking. We were told by the waiter that the restaurant didn’t take bookings on concert nights. After showing the waiter the email confirmation, she apologised for an error with the system and provided us with a table immediately. This waiter also took our car parking ticket to validate it for us and sorted our student discount, she was very accommodating. The food was surprisingly very good to say it is a chain high street restaurant. I would definitely revisit if going to a concert at Resorts World again, as it’s a very convenient place to grab food there beforehand.

Went inside after a look at the menu showing some great dishes. Only 2 other table sitting down so thought this would be a nice, quiet lunch. Was greeted by who we think must be the manager after the members of staff were gossiping at the bar. Once sat down, we should have realised what our experience was going to be like once seeing that the table behind us sent back their food 3 times, but we thought we would give the benefit to the doubt. After waiting what seemed like an eternity for someone to come to the table (they still didn’t) we realised we had to order through the app, however this was not told to us when we sat down so we sat there clueless. When our food arrived, both orders were completely wrong. Mine came back ok, but my partners still had sauce all over the burger so had to be sent back again and after a second send back, came back ok. Food was standard but nothing to write home about. Whilst eating, noticed the staff members still gossiping at the bar and one even ordered from pizza express and sat down eating this in front of the customers! Manager was completely unaware as he was sitting down at a table with I presume another manager or regional manager. Awful experience and would not recommend. Also, £3 extra on top of our £9 lunch menu for a can (330ml) of flat, horrible tasting beer. Only go here if you want less than adequate food.

The food from here is always tasty , always hot and always served in good time . It is quality food served to you within 10 to 15 minutes of being seated. Everytime. Staff members are always friendly and efficient from start to finish. My partner really enjoys the panko chicken burger and I will usually go for a classic beef burger . I have had beef with avocado and bacon before and that was incredible. Chips are tasty, French fries or chunky chips. Both good. The garlic sauce is top and the hei hei salt is great on chips although i didn't notice it in there this time. Drinks are a little expensive and would be good to have an option of draft coke/ drinks in general . Food is a good price and well worth the money. It Is also usually very quiet which is great and makes for a relaxing experience. Always quality here =)

Booked in last night after the spring fair. Was slightly disappointed to discover we had to order on the app - which was a faff! 20 minutes after the order was placed there was still no sign of our drinks. Finally they arrived at the same time as our food - which wasn’t ideal! The food was nice but it did feel like a glorified fast food restaurant. Won’t be on our list of places to return to next year.

We were served by a lovely man I think his name might have been Dante. We were seated promptly even though it was a very busy evening with a concert on next door. Dante was very helpful and gave us recommendations and was patient and funny. The food was very tasty and hot too. We will be returning!

We booked and visited GKB in Resorts World for our office Christmas lunch and had a really good lunch. The food came as ordered and was a tasty burger experience for everyone. Visited during HOYS event when it was extremely busy, with other restaurants only accepting pre-bookings. Staff were obviously working very hard, we were advised that we would have a short wait to be seated which we didn’t mind, just happy to find somewhere to eat. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, which was served quickly. Could not get to grips with the QR code for table ordering but didn’t matter as orders taken at the bar. Price was very reasonable. We have found many restaurants are short staffed, so well done team!.

Really lovely food, they know what is in all their foods. They understand allergies, but nut allergy sufferers, be aware that they have nuts everywhere. But they sanitised my table, cutlery, napkins and plates to ensure safety. Food tasted great. Staff very good.
