Gaze in Belfast

always get food from this place but this will definitely be the last. ordered a delivery at 17.30 specifically to arrive at 19.00 i got a call at 17.55 asking if he turned right or left to my apartment obviously he was close by so i said to him i’m sorry but i’m not at home and the food was ordered for 19.00.he hesitated and said ok. roll on 19.15 food arrives and guess what every single thing had to be out in microwave it was stone cold. the filo pastry chicken for starters we cldnt even heat up as the chicken had went hard.as for the rest of the food it was abs awfull. very very dissapointed for the fact that they kept the food probably under the heat holding lamp for an hour and sent it out again which is most certainly not within the law of catering. it’s abs disgusting what they have done and we definitely will not be getting from there again

Always great food from here. The salted chilli chips are incredible. The foods never greasy and everything is full of flavour.

We decided to go midweek for the 2 course set menu for £13.80 each (sit in)…. As soon as the starters arrived we knew we made a good decision- Salt n chilli ribs and Salt n chilli chicken to start, Honey chilli chicken and Peking for the main- Couldn’t finish it, not thru lack of trying- 10/10 taste, only 2 staff on but well organised, no long wait for food, asked if we were ready for mains or if we wanted to wait a bit…. BYO aswell

Called down for a quite bite to eat early in a Sunday evening. It's more a takeaway with nice bench seating than a sit in restaurant, so know what to expect. We got spring rolls and cumin chicken as starters, and szechuan chicken and salt and chili tofu as mains. Spring rolls were a different style - almost like a 'pie' that had been cut into segments. Chicken was tasty but very spicy. Mains were good. The menu said the chicken was minced but just looked like sliced chicken. It came in a not to spicy sauce with aubergine. The tofu was tasty and there was plenty of it. We got fried rice and noodles on the side. Neither bad nor wonderful, but ours only a side. Bill came to £37 including corkage, which we thought was very good value. We'll go back

Gaze has been the go to place for us for Chinese food for some time. Been disappointed with the quality of food on the last 3 occasions particularly around flavours and poorer quality cuts of meat. With the prices they charge I would expect more. Sadly we’ll now be seeking alternative places to go.

Always get a brilliant Chinese from Gaze. Food tasted really fresh and wasn’t greasy at all. Had a lot of people over during the week and put an order in. It arrived on time, was nice and hot and everything tasted brilliant.

Always consistent and has the best spring rolls in Belfast! This has been our go to Chinese for the past 6 months and we haven’t had a bad meal out of it.

Usually decent food. Tonight was a disappointment however. Don’t know how it’s even possible to make lemon chicken grey and how you can look at it and think it seems solid enough to send out to peoples houses. Genuinely thought I’d been given fish goujons by mistake. Had to satisfy myself with gorging on prawn crackers. Cheers

The most disappointing meal I have ever had I took my girlfriend and I here I ordered the duck and honey chilli chicken and noodles I have to bin everything it ruined our night and they only took cash so bad

I unfortunately had the displeasure of ordering a takeaway from Gaze this evening. When I arrived to collect my order the lady in front of house had mixed up the order tickets and gave me the wrong order. It was only when I got home I realised we had been given the wrong order. When I rang to make them aware I had received the wrong order the guy taking calls was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He essentially told me it was my fault for not checking the order fully, before I left the restaurant. What? I told him how ridiculous that was and that I would be down to collect my correct order. I kindly asked him to recook and prepare my order again, as it would’ve been sitting for over 30 minutes by this stage. When I collected my correct order and got home the food was cold. They had not recooked my order, they had just left it sitting awaiting collection. The food itself was disgusting. The reviews of this restaurant speak volumes. Probably the worst Chinese I have ever had. I would highly suggest people avoid this pace at all costs.

Good salt chilli chips and salt chilli chicken both were disgusting taste like eating salt alone chicken chunks far too big no good at all the guys customer service skills taking orders was horrendous especially to the woman in front of me

Ordered a take away from here. Honey chill chicken, salted chilli chicken, chips and fried rice and curry. The curry was so lumpy, I would have been better ordering plain chicken because the salted chilli chicken was flavourless. I’m sorry to write a review like this but this food was rotten. For £3 delivery I was also expecting the food to arrive on a spaceship. Raging

Seriously tasty food and generous portions at a great price. You can bring your own booze if you fancy a tipple. Friendly service and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Really excellent.

Server was told about an intolerance. Wrong food was given. Server replied 'not my fault, go to hospital' then became quite abusive. For the price I expected decent food and service to go with it. My advice....stay well away!

The problem with having a huge menu is that you can't possibly do justice to all the dishes. I was here twice and was disappointed twice. The Malaysian curry tastes like curry from a chip shop with a few spices thrown in. No sign of the lemongrass and coriander as promised on the menu. It's better to spend your money at a real Thai or Japanese instead of at this "fusion" place.

Went here with my husband and friend the food was unbelievable and the staff were lovely would highly recommend cant wait to go back.

My daughter went to Gaze Banbridge and was served Silverfish in the water. Google ‘Gaze Banbridge’ to see photos Hope the hygiene is better in this place.

We visited this Chinese in hope of a quick tasty dinner and that’s what we got. Staff were lovely and food was great!

Always great, I go regularly and the service and food is fantastic. Always busy to. I particularly enjoyed the Kimchi Veg and rice. BYO as well and was free corkage. Would recommend to anyone who likes Asian food.

Pedimos una comida para llevar de Gaze. La comida estaba lista para ir bastante rápido y me complació encontrar un pequeño rincón del menú con algunas opciones sin gluten. Habiendo dicho eso, es una selección muy pequeña y no da muchos detalles sobre el tipo de sabores en la salsa, pero esencialmente es una selección de algunas carnes o verduras en una salsa con arroz al vapor. Fue bastante agradable, un caldo sazonado con un toque de ajo, y me alegré de que hubiera algo que pudiera tener mientras mi compañero podía pedir sus favoritos habituales sin preocuparse por lo que podría comer. Gracias a este restaurante por agregar la sección libre de gluten, lo que hace que un lugar popular para llevar esté accesible para la gente sin gluten.

Un rango de precio que tiene china un amplio menú para elegir, incluyendo la recomendación de miel pollo chili chefs. Si quieres poner algo más seguro, como un curry y con chip, también es realmente delicioso y ligero en comparación con muchos otros llevar chinos. También puede sentarse, y hacer una noche de ella, ya que tienen un gran mediados de semana ofrece comida! El único Chino que no me siento fatal después de comer.

We've been loads of times. It's great. The food is fine. Hay! It's not 5 star. Come on. The staff are great. Give it a try.

La primera vez que ordenó aquí una entrega y la dama china por teléfono fue extremadamente grosera, no hay etiqueta de cliente en absoluto. La comida estaba fría, el arroz era duro, el pato asado chino era sosa y no era auténtico pato asado. El mango que se suponía que estaba en el plato no tenía dulzura, parece que fue enjuagado bajo el mismo agua que las piñas que pensé que provenían del corazón de una lechuga iceberg. Puro vil.

Pedí una comida para llevar de aquí el sábado pasado por la noche y obtuve el Gaze Jiang Bao.

Cold food congealed rice, the thickets curry i have every seen was ineadible, i dont know how or why the queue was so busy food was rubbish honestly have never seen an asian restaurant serve curry like that in my life.

they had to go back and get the rest of my dinner. they handed me a bag that clearly said “4 items” on it, yet the bag had three things in it. they had left my fried rice at the restaraunt . when I called to tell them, they answered and I literally sat on the phone listening to them talking in the background for ten minutes before I could tell them what was wrong. my duck was stone cold by the time my rice arrived

Food was cold and chicken satay was disgusting and the samosas were burnt. Very disappointed in this.

Food was supposed to arrive at 9:15 and the restaurant added 15 minutes on to that but the food didn't arrive until 9:55

salted chilli chicken was horrible it was a red colour and tasted like it had been sprayed with perfume honestly don't think it was salted chilli chicken. chips and rice were nice wouldn't order from here again

Just horrible, noodles where just water with proceeded slimey chicken in it, salted chilli chips where incredibly soggy, gravy chip came in a carton instead of the usual box and the order also came wrong TWICE. Ordered a kids chicken ball with boiled rice and gravy, came with chips and sweet and chilli sauce. Rang up and they sent out another one but this time it came with boiled rice and still sweet chilli sauce, how is it possible to get sweet chilli sauce and gravy confused? And giving us chips when we wanted boiled rice? The only thing that I enjoyed properly was the bottle of Fanta lemon.

He sido volver a mirar en el Ormeau Road. Me he cambiado de dueños. Es, además, mucho mejor que antes. La comida es de mejor calidad y el ambiente ha cambiado drásticamente. La Sal y el chili calamar era increíble y el Singapore vermicelli era verdaderamente delicioso.

Everything was cold. Chips were cold and dry, curry sauce was cold and the two chicken dishes were disgusting. Wont be buying from here again.

Gaze is under new management and although they got it wrong this time I was impressed by the level of customer service following the incident. Tony really tried to make amends, and has set a standard here and I will be ordering my replacement meal soon. Hope they get it together and return to the high level of food and service we are used to.

Me buscó los síntomas y efectos laterales. msg vino Nunca he experimentado estos sentimientos después de una comida y sé que estoy un poco más sensible a los alimentos en estos días, pero esto era ridículo. Sin duda, tiene que haber más responsabilidad dentro de la comida eithical restaurante comercio y colocados y sobre ellos. Después de todo, no me intencionalmente veneno si vino a mi casa. . . . que! ¡Nunca más!

Ordered from here for the first time, delivery was quick but I had ordered for a specific time and it came early with items missing which I was charged for and it was cold. I phoned the restaurant to ask for the missing items to which I was told they were too busy to bring them even though I had already paid... offered a 'free' starter for next time even though they still owe me money! 😂 terrible customer service. I had to throw all the food in the bin! I reported the restaurant to just eat customer service and just eat sent me a voucher for my money back. Worst Chinese ever

Absolutely disgusting not happy at all after having to bin my £10 meal!most definitely reheated chips,very hard with cold clumped together curry sauce and fried rice, also cold salted chilli chicken.My first and probably the last I will order from this Chinese,not a happy customer at all!

Usually when we order from Gaze we have a very positive experience but on this occasion after I'd paid by card, I was called and asked to pay 50p more in cash for my order which, when received, turned out to be only half correct. Very disappointing customer service when I called them and ultimately sorry to say our meal wasn't great.

Delivered really quickly. Chips were excellent. Unfortunately the squid was very overcooked and the Szechuan minced chicken wasn't minced and the overall dish was poor. Won't order from here again.

Love this place. They do excellent quality food at a great price. Their spicy shredded chicken is out of this world!

The chips were dry and tasted liked they'd been sitting out for too long. Chicken was like jelly, didn't even taste like chicken! Sauce was bland. Order was much earlier than scheduled. Will not be getting from this place again, it was foul.

Food was delicious as in previous times, but was 20mins late, and the order was not correct, we got chips instead of the noodles we ordered.

The food in Gaze is always gorgeous, reasonably priced and piping hot (sometimes a rarity in a Chinese)! There are some lovely dishes on the menu. Wouldn't look past here when ordering or sitting in for food! BYO too (though very quiet for sit in).

Price is slightly high for the quality of food that we got. Malaysian curry was bland, salt and chilli chips were plain chips. Delivery was supposed to be 40mins, it took 3 phone calls and arrived after 1hr 50mins, food was cold when arrived. 3rd phonecall was given an apology and offered money off if I still wanted the order as it was arriving after 1hr 50mins. Disappointing after waiting so long.

Food was much lower quality than usual - bland and overcooked. Disappointing from Gaze. Marked so low on delivery time because they consistently overestimate collection times - I don't mind waiting a bit longer but I'd rather do it in my house than sit for ten minutes in the restaurant.

The duck was tasty but cold, the pancakes had stuck together due to having cooled down, the veg was completely dry and there wasn't enough sauce. Overall disappointing as I enjoyed this meal last time I ordered.

When we received the food it was cold and we 1/4 duck instead of half!! Even though we paid for half.

Food quality was good, and the delivery arrived earlier than the estimated time, but there were a few problems with the order. I got chicken instead of duck with my kimchi and there was a share of sharp plastic from a container in with the phad thai. At the time I was too hungry after having had no food all day to bother complaining as i knew i would have to wait longer to get a duck kimchi so i just ate it.

I ordered prawns but got chicken!!!!!!
