Food is OK and the place is nice

vegan mushroom dish was okay but too expensive for the small portion

8pm on Saturday evening. Two meals ordered. First arrived after 2 minutes and was luke warm rice based dish. Returned and asked for fresh dish. Replacement was also luke warm 🤷‍♂️ Second meal was incorrect order. Taken to the correct table after being left at mine for a couple of minutes during confusion. Then replacement was also wrong. When correct dish arrived it was piping hot as it was noodle dish and obviously was made fresh. The staff were friendly but 'busy' despite restaurant having only 12 or so diners. The restaurant was also cold and everyone was wearing their coats! Discount for my meal mix up was applied at the end. In short, warm up the restaurant and warm up the rice "pre prepared" dishes before serving. Will I be back? Sadly, no. V disappointed ☹️

I have always liked Wagamama and try to visit every time I'm in UK or Northern Ireland. Food is always good and very fresh. Victoria Square branch in Belfast is always very busy but we didn't have to wait long to be seated. Staff are very nice and understanding if you don't know what dishes are and are always willing to explain everything. Prices are quite good and portions fairly large.

La comida estaba mal presentada al igual que todo el restaurante. Estaba desordenado, desgastado y carente de cuidado. El baño estaba sembrado de papel higiénico y no tan limpio. En general una experiencia muy decepcionante. La única ventaja era que servían una buena elección de cervezas y licores locales.

I had the seitan and my husband asked for the tofu, they were reasonably good. As we hate coriander, we paid attention to the menu that showed options with coriander and decided to avoid those. We also ordered the gyozas with vegetables because we generally like them. However, the giozas came with a lot of coriander which for me was inedible. I told the waitress that there was coriander and asked if the dish could be replaced and she said no and that we should pay for the gyoza the same way since we were not allergic to coriander. I thought they shouldn't charge for this since the menu didn't warn about the strong presence of coriander in the food. Honestly, I didn't like the employee's attitude and the restaurant should be more concerned with the satisfaction of its customers. I didn't tip for that and I won't go back to this place again and I don't recommend it either.

We were served late in a noisy and poorly organized room. The grilled chicken ramen was with boiled chicken and tasteless broth and no decent accompaniments, chewiness and bland bamboo which gave no taste to the dish. Avoid!

I decided to try this place because it seemed so popular, but wow, I wish I hadn’t. The broth was so watery, and the chicken wasn’t even grilled like the menu promised. I honestly have no idea what kind of cutting technique they used on that chicken—looked like someone went at it with a spoon or just tore it apart with their hands. There was zero seasoning on the chicken, and the noodles, while cooked properly, were just as bland. I ordered a fresh juice, which was good, but I couldn’t even finish the ramen—it was that bad. It was clear that whoever runs this place has no idea what ramen should taste like. When I went to pay, they asked if everything was okay, and I explained what was wrong. The guy at the register just shrugged and said, "That’s very unusual, no one’s ever said that." Not even an apology. This was my first and definitely my last visit.

Wagamama is a great spot for a quick and delicious meal. The food is consistently fresh, with bold flavors that make each dish stand out. I particularly enjoyed the katsu curry and ramen – the perfect balance of spices and texture. Their variety of vegan and vegetarian options is also a plus! The location at Victoria Square is super convenient, right in the heart of Belfast. It’s easy to pop in for a meal while out shopping or meeting up with friends. The staff are friendly and efficient.

It's nice to have a hot soup ramen when is raining in belfast.

Staff were really polite and attentive, always a good meal and free green tea. Tables cleared and cleaned with efficiency.

They told me it didn't have cilantro and it did. You eat next to strangers and you can't hear a damn about having a conversation.

Arrived as it opened and got put right in front of the kitchen despite almost empty, so we asked to move. Ordered reasonably quickly, but wrong drinks arrived followed by my meal which was cold; cold plate, cold Katsu sauce. Both returned. My Wife’s meal arrived, but mine didn’t by the time she had finished. Cancelled mine which was “just coming”. I came to eat with her not watch her eat, but really, not enjoying it. Staff really didn’t care. No apologies, little interest. Used to enjoy it here, not any more.

I tried it in Edinburgh. But I will put a statement here, the food is completely different. As an Asian fusion, or any Asian style restaurant, the basic food is rice. As 40 years old Asian I could say this rice probably one of the worst rice I ever had. It is wet, super soft, more like a rice smoothie. When I order the Japanese Gyoza, it is also the first time, I was facing a question how would I like to cook it, I guess grill, because Japanese Gyoza is grilled Jiaozi. I won't even want to talk about flavour, there is only 2 table party having dinner during weekend dinner time, I guess that explains. Anyone who would love to try to some Asian food, please DO NOT choose this one.

Siempre me encanta ir a Wagamama! Tenía picazón por el mismo plato que la última vez, pero no recordaba el nombre. Pedí el Ramen de Pollo a la Parrilla pensando que eso era todo, pero para mi decepción no fue lo que pensé que era! Afortunadamente Naoise, nuestra encantadora anfitriona se ofreció a pedir a la cocina para añadir algunas cosas y volvió como el plato exacto que había querido originalmente! Gracias Naoise por su paciencia para ir más allá!

Great quality food but I wish they had a lunch menu with a more affordable set of options. £15-20 per head is a bit pricey.

Tan decepcionado ayer. Realmente disfruto Wagamama y lo busco siempre que viajo. Ayer pedí un cuenco de Donburi de Pato y mi marido pidió Katsu. Su comida llegó muy rápido, era delicioso. Mi comida tardó mucho más en prepararse y él había terminado de comer cuando llegó la mía. El arroz era un bulto grande en el fondo del tazón y había muy poca salsa. El pato constaba de 3 piezas pequeñas, estas se pueden ver en la foto. El lado de Kimchee nunca llegó. Nunca antes había comido tan mal en Wagamama. Le preguntamos a nuestro servidor sobre el arroz y al escuchar el acento inglés de mi esposo, le dijimos en Belfast que cocinan con una receta diferente a Inglaterra. Sugiero que empiecen a usar la misma receta.

Used to love it, tried today, curries all taste different... apparently they can't make their own sauces now, they have to use the ones that come from main office....not worth the money...too expensive!

Food very disappointing ordered grilled chicken ramen with extra tofu and spicy broth. Broth was more sweet than spicy, chicken and tofu awful texture.. Smooshy and slimey. Squid side was extremely over cooked and all I cooked taste was cooking oil.

Excellent food, however in all honesty I wish the service were better, it almost seems awkward here in Belfast almost like your served and forgotten, very transactional and not place to keep patrons to offer a second drink 🍺 😂

Starters here are my best. I have tried all starters and everything is delicious. Bang bang prawn is a must try. Not a big fan of main dishes though.

The elders lady that was serving us was very rude and made us feel very unwanted slammed our drinks on the table and walked away food was lively but the atmosphere wouldn’t make me come back

Normalmente soy un gran fan de la comida Wagamama, pero esta no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas. Tengo una soba de yaki y los fideos definitivamente no eran los fideos de soba habituales, parecían más espaguetis! No había mucha salsa, así que todo sabía un poco soso desafortunadamente. El arranque fue muy bueno.

Food was still hot. Restaurant was slow to prepare it.

Can recommend. Food as expected, staff very pleasant . Hours are a bit shorter (8 pm) than in Glasgow, so keep this in mind.

Excellent service from Nisha and Charlotte and even better food, will come back again!

Good place to visit welcoming staff and nice food

Popped in here for a family lunch at about 12 o'clock. Place filled up pretty much immediately but we got served quickly and despite having a lot to do the staff were friendly and chatty! (Working in hospitality I know that this can be difficult to maintain, so I always appreciate it! My niece and nephew got crayons for colouring in their menus and kid friendly chopsticks which were great fun! Food was great, everyone enjoyed what they got! I got the Kare Burosu Ramen (pictured) and my only complaint about it was my family stole most of my mushrooms as they were lovely! Would def go again! Wonderful experience all around!

This is the second time we visited the place and it was a disappointment. The attitude of the male manager was just appalling and very rude. We were not feel welcomed and seems like he was annoyed that he had to arrange chairs and tables to make way for the the baby buggies. I felt like he looked down on us as if we are beggars or homeless people. Anyway, food is okay but very expensive for the quality. Calamari and curry choices were the best. Confusing menu. Would not visit again due to manager's attitude. Visited 26/05/2024

Brilliant service and delicious food

It's okay.... food is the main "ok". Could be fresher and nicer. But still worth going to if you want fast food Asian food.

My partner and I are regulars at Wagamama's wherever we go in the UK, we almost always eat the same dishes (creatures of habit and all). When my yaki soba arrived I was very confused that my noodles looked very much like spaghetti, never seen anything like it in my life 😂 The staff should really be warning customers that it’s not soba noodles or better yet telling customers that it’s off the menu. Ended up paying the best part of £60 for a meal that was completely wrong

It was a lovely place, neat and tidy, the service was great. The food was tasty and delicious.

A store in Victoria Square. Visited on a Sunday evening. The juice I wanted to drink was out of stock due to some circumstances, but I was able to get some delicious Japanese tea for free. The chicken in the teriyaki chicken bowl was steamed chicken with teriyaki sauce instead of grilled teriyaki, so it was a little different from what I had imagined, but it was delicious with plenty of vegetables and a lot of volume. I'm giving it 4 stars because it was a little different from the Japanese teriyaki chicken. The staff was courteous and the store was spacious and had a nice atmosphere.

We went for lunch with our grandchildren, service was good and staff lovely.The food was so disappointing bland is an understatement, 3 of us had the katsu curry very little flavour, 2 had the chicken ramen, the broth was like a chicken stock cube flavoured with ginger and the chicken was just plain boiled with no flavour, although we both had the same ramen one had carrot and corn the other had none. We will definitely never return, should have went to ragin ramen a few streets away for a proper ramen🍜

During our trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland for a week, Wagamama is the only hands down 1 star experience in terms of food quality. The food (we ordered Yakisoba and Tantanmen) is bland, without taste and really a far cry from what those dishes could be. The duck pancake has side of sauce of cherry and hoisin which is rather a weird combination. The only salvation is the crispy squid which is well cooked and crispy.

Great wee place for a nice meal in Belfast! The service is top notch and the food is top tier! Although sides where a bit slow as I had finished my meal when I got them, it was worth the wait because it was still delicious, and the great service from the staff made up for it too.

The place wasn't so busy when I arrived, therefore I was seated quickly which was great. However, after I sat, I had two waitresses within the space of a minute come up asking me about drinks and food when I haven't even had time to look at the menu. I was confused as it's usually just one person that serves the party. The food didn't take too long to come out. But I was disappointed as the food was quite bland. Not the best experience I've had.

Don't get from here there delivery driver was very aggressive and as he put it not happy not happy in fact he almost put my door in so I'll not be getting again this is probably all over a tip but how can I give a tip if he just started on me right away very on professional needs sacked and for what I got the price is ridiculous

Its my first time to try in wagamama and I ordered this chili chicken ramen. Okay, I don’t know if the resto claims to be a Japanese or Jap fusion because the ramen broth tasted like Tom Yum soup without the coconut milk. Chicken part that was used was breast so its a bit dry, and chewy. Hope they used they used the oyster thigh part. Noodles was good but the construction of the ramen really looked / tasted like a tom yum without the coconut milk.

Great eating out experience for the whole family. Our 5yr old and 2 yr old boys loved it . Staff so friendly and helpful. Very careful and informative about allergies which was really reassuring for us as parents. Kitchen is nut free

Food came out at such different times that half the table had finished. Not great. Quality of food was ok, will definitely not rush back, especially with good non chain noodle places nearby.

Can't go wrong with Wagamama .. food was excellent and service, especially in this branch, was really friendly ... and they have a good range of vegan options too .. all and all very pleased 👍

Beautiful food. Lovely staff. Went here with my son. Was extremely busy so probably best to book ahead. The guy who met us at the door and brought us to our seats was very friendly and helpful. Our server was also nice, friendly and helpful.

We went here this afternoon for lunch, small bit of a wait because the restaurant was so busy. We ordered the chicken gyoza ramen with spicy broth and the hot katsu curry. Both dishes were excellent and served speedily. Love coming here.

Visited 19/12/2023 with my friend. Was very disappointed with the service after my food was delayed around 15 minutes after my friend's food had been served. When I questioned this, there was a rush from the waiters/staff to try and get my food which appeared to have been omitted from the order. Once the food was served it was cold which was very disappointing. When I asked was it supposed to be served this way: the manager in operation stated "in Japanese cuisine its custom for food to be served at different times" there was no real reflection on how they could have improved the service nor any real accountability taken. The manager then did not take my plate but rather came back with a separate warm plate of chicken and just basically planted it on the table and walked away. This is definitely not the dinner experience I was used to last time I visited wagamama and it was actually downgrading. In Japanese custom I'm absolutely certain that there is politeness and good manners; last night I was served the food like I was a dog. Furthermore I'd like to say that the Team Lead (brunette girl) was able to resolve my issue partly as she cancelled my order from the bill. I'm sorry I did not get the manager's name but I was so disgusted by their actions. There was a serious attitude problem and even upon leaving he still didn't have the decency to apologise for his actions. I would hope to attend Wagamama again but not if they're employing managers with this attitude and demeanour in the workplace. I hope no one has to go through this type of experience like I did.

The ramen had zero flavour. The noodles were way overcooked they just fell apart when you touch them. The delivery driver went to the back of the house, phoned me, I told him to come to the front which he did but then just sat on his bike in the middle of the road staring at the houses in the street. Waited until I came outside then got off his bike and I had to stand waiting while he came over got off the bike took the food out of his backpack. Very odd!! Never seen the likes of it before.

A friend of mine and I ate here on a Saturday night because it was full elsewhere, so we came in here without any particular expectations. Despite this, we were pleasantly surprised by what we decided to order. The ramen is really very good, exactly what you need to warm up on a cold winter evening.

If you order a popular dish such as katsu curry chicken and your friends order something that is rare, expect your food to arrive cold

Food was great and fast service. Did have to argue slightly about sitting next to my toddler rather than across from her. But we both really enjoyed our food!

The ambience of the establishment is like every other establishment of the chain. I ordered a ramen which was good and had a nice amount of kick to it. The drink was delicious as well. I had a lovely, enjoyable dinner here.
