Best Sunday roast I've ever had. Amazing service and food

The lovely hostess Keya went above and beyond to find us a lovely table at short notice. Our waitress Victoria was so lovely and smiley and very attentive. The food is top notch and the atmosphere and music are really good, especially on a Saturday night 🌙 👌 🙌

I always enjoy going here. The steaks are lovely, always cooked with care, and there are some excellent starters here too (try the scallops). They also have a well stocked bar and so any cocktails you might fancy should be available. All in all a great place to have dinner.

Food: The sides and the desserts were good. Between the five of us we ordered all of the sides so we were able to try them all. The causa in particular was a highlight. The tres leches with pears and the fried steaks were also good but unfortunately what did miss the mark was the steak itself, which just didn't do it for me. Service: Really good for the most part, the servers were attentive most of the time despite busier service. Atmosphere: it was pretty, we got a good seat and most diners looked like they were enjoying themselves.

Having tried every single item of the 30 year special menu of Gaucho at Hampstead and the Piccadilly branches over 48hrs I wanted to share a particular review of the Hampstead location. The food was delicious 🤤, but what made the experience enjoyable was the staff. We had an excellent waitress who simply brilliant and put up with our large party. Funny and attentive, extremely knowledgeable too. The food was delicious as expected and their steaks brilliant. Hampstead in particular was great with the space in the restaurant and even the welcoming doggy bowls outside.

We come here all the time, and it get’s better and better every time. Highly recommend this restaurant, new cocktail menu is fantastic and all the staff are outstanding! Keep it up

I went here for a Sunday roast with my adult daughter and nephew. The food was delicious - I can certainly recommend the Sunday roast. I paired this with the house red which is a delicious Argentina Malbec. My nephew chose a burger and he said it was the best he has ever eaten. The staff are fantastic and really go the extra mile. Victoria, our waitress is a star and the manager is excellent. We will certainly return.

This was my first time visiting Gaucho, unfortunately we expected a little more… We needed to approach the waiter in order to ask for the wine menu, he didn’t recommend any dishes or wine, didn’t ask how was the food… the steak was a little chewy, I ordered medium rare but received medium. Service could be a little more attentive.

Although the staff are lovely here, the food is well overpriced for what it is. Over the years, the food has gone down hill, in my opinion. Lovely restaurant inside but that's about it.

We were warmly greeted by Christos & his team. Our waiter Renato was exceptionally polite, professional & thoughtful, making sure we wanted for nothing. Well worth a visit in my opinion & we shall return.

The food was great...chips were salty. I was seated in the restaurant for 5mins before anyone showed up.

Slap dash service. Came in dressed up casually, treated differently to those dressed up for occasion. Received mouldy cutlery. Messed up on our orders twice - no apology. The steak very chewy and lacked no flavours. Not impressed. Normally am a regular customer however will not be going again

I visited Gaucho Hampstead twice in the month of March, Mother’s Day being the first for Sunday roast. Greeted by the friendly reception team and promptly shown to our table with a front row to the kitchen. The food was delicious from starter to desserts. The roast was a very generous portion with the meat cooked to perfection and accompanied with great quality vegetables. Special shout out for that cauliflower cheese which completed the roasted beautifully! We were well cared for by Sinzi (hope I got the spelling right). Just to also say that the restaurant was exceptionally busy being Mother’s Day but still delivered great service and food. My husband and I also popped in this past weekend for drinks and WOW, Ian at the bar conjured up some delectable cocktails. I enjoyed the atmosphere sitting around the bar area and having a relaxing drink. One of us are off alcohol so they do a selection of mocktails and other drinks too on their menu. All in all, I recommend a visit here whether you are a local of Hampstead or just popping by for a visit. The friendly team is sure to take care of you.

Provolone cheese was too hard to chew, beef was not the best. Too expensive. Gratuity is included as a percentage of the total amount. Won´t go again

Always wonderful. We had steak tartare, waygu burgers and the fillet salad. All delicious. Even the cheapest wines are fantastic. Sometimes I love a restaurant because it is dog friendly. Gaucho would be five stars without. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Fantastic experience. It was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last . Our server was amazing, she showed us all the cuts of meat available, explained how they were prepared by the chef along with recommendations for on how to have them cooked by the chef. Best steak we have ever tasted!!!!!

All 5 out of 5 steaks like candy best waiters (Diego) and tge atmosphere in that place it make you now wanna leave. I recommend family diners for special occasions or for a date. Enjoy

My partner and I have celebrated our anniversary and we chose Gaucho for this purpose. The atmosphere was very nice, we were made feel welcome by our host Sinzi and we followed her recommendations from the menu. They made our day even more special with a celebratory desert and prosecco. Our host Sinzi was very attentive and she made our visit to Gaucho a memorable one.

Gaucho does doggy brunch the first Saturday of every month and it was so much fun. It can get a bit chaotic at moments but they get a three course free dog meal.

Nice Restaurant but the steak was not as good as it should be for a restaurant specialising in steak. Crepe came to the table quite cold and had to be returned

My companion and I really enjoyed lunch at Goucho's in Hampstead on Sunday last. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The ambience was relaxed and pleasing and the restaurant though busy was not noisy. We will most definitely return.

Unfortunately this was probably the worst meal I have ever had in the gaucho steak was not cooked sent it back pacifically asked medium with caramelisation. I want the flavour it came back just the same night they didn’t bother. I think I think twice before going back in there this is the second time I’ve been unlucky With a steak In there Servis was always smiling down from Waitress to the manager, constantly When our Steaks arrived, they been cut into force still no Caramelisation, it was just blind and flavourless overall disappointing a lot of money for an average steak. I won’t be eating in there again

No where better for a steak. I’ve tried numerous times to replicate what Goucho can do with a good quality cut of beef but to no avail. This is where we come for a big celebration - on this occasion a zero birthday and they very kindly wrote a birthday message on our dessert plate with chocolate. It’s where we go to feel special and spoiled. Thank you G

The waiter could hardly speak/understand English and got most of the order wrong. He gave up and got the manager, who was not much better. Average Sunday roast, and my roast potatoes are 10 times better. Will not be going back. Has gone downhill. Most disappointing.

We were seated at a table for max 2 people. Totally unacceptable. By the time we ordered water, wine, starters, mains and side dishes it was impossible to fit everything in. Chairs were horrid. You couldn’t move them. SO heavy! And SO low my husband is very tall and when he sat down it was like the table was his chest level. Don’t think we will visit Hampstead Gaucho again soon!

As always a 10 out of 10 meal and 10 out of 10 for service. We had an afternoon lunch booking. There was only a few other tables booked so the restaurant was nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly as always and a manager took his time to come and say hello to our table and to check everything was okay. The food was excellent as always and actually better than the Covent Garden branch we met at the week before.

We ate ceviche sea bass, ceviche trout which was really good, beef, pumpkin empanadas also very good, our burgers with chips good, burrata with tomatoes good.

I Think it is a Big mistake that you Can only have a table for 2 hours It is imboasible to have before dinner drinks strartars , mains dessert and coffe in 2 hours

Absolutely a great experience and was possible with amazing service and very attentive Victoria. She had great recommendations for us and great sense of humor. We will be definitely coming back soon.

Our waitress was very poor, stroppy and inattentive. Luckily the food was good, however delivered to the table in stages meaning the steak went cold before the sides all eventually arrived. When I chose not to pay the 12.5% service charge for poor service a glass of champagne was added to our bill which we never ordered. The waitress chose not to say goodbye as we left. Sorry Gaucho you need to up your game.

The rump was delicious, the peppercorn sauce was great too even though I wish the sauce was a bit more thick. Overall it is absolutely delicious and the meat quality is definitely worth it.

Not great - over priced - unexciting- small portions

Our waitress was really rude, the moment we sat down she said we had a hour , rushed us, no smiles, added bubbly to our bill when we didn’t order. It was my son’s birthday,despite my notes when booking, we were made to rush , wasn’t personal. Good thing the food made up for the awful service.

Excellent food and service! Me and my date were given a warm & welcoming greeting as we walked in. Our waitress treated us like royalty (apologies, I didn't catch her name), she didn't rush us when it came to placing our order, she was very accommodating to us, especially since me and my date spoke for an hour without really looking at the menu lol. But when we finally decided to place our order, she offered us 3 samples of various red wines, then she offered to show us the various types of steaks they offer and explained each steak beautifully with detail. An example of how accommodating our waitress was (me and my date were talking a lot), she placed the samples on a table not too far from us, she waited for 30 minutes until we were ready to see the various samples of steaks because she didn't want to disturb our conversation and throughout the whole night she refilled our wine and water glasses. Again, amazing service! This credit goes out the whole staff. Towards the end of the night, the restaurant was closing, me and my date were the last ones in the restaurant, nobody rushed or pushed us to leave the restaurant. I used to work in hospitality and I know how infuriating it can be when a person or persons won't leave the restaurant so close to closing. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. Would highly recommend this place for couples who are looking for a romantic date night.

Our seat was not good, it was too dark. Maybe I will go to other Gaucho next time. Usually I use this restaurant at Liverpool Street at business purpose. The services between Hampstead and Liverpool Street is completely different.

The chateubriand which was £110 had to be sent back as was cooked poorly and chewy and rare, quite difficult to do really. The sides were very poor the chips were cold and the mac and cheese was horrible and so was the spinach. The churros de lomo was very tasty but overall extremely disappointing considering the bill was £1000

A wonderful restaurant indeed. Service exemplary, food fantastic. In fact, there was a small problem, but it was resolved quickly and without fuss. Resolving problems in this way is another indicator of a great establishment in my opinion.

Everything from welcome to service to food was excellent. Only comment I’d make otherwise related to boring repetitive double bass noise in music. Ambience was great without it when occasionally it stopped. The buzz of satisfied customers created the right ambience. Thanks for great meal. B

Restaurant was quiet on Saturday for lunch. Service was friendly and attentive and food was good quality but really impossible to justify the £300 price tag for two cocktails, two starters, two steaks, sides and a bottle of wine. Left feeling disappointed to have spent this much with a chain knowing that a Michelin tasting menu would have been similar.

The Gaucho Hampstead is excellent value for money, we were there for my daughter's birthday dinner and we enjoyed the reception and accommodation. Gaucho Hampstead has a wonderful staff and excellent customer care. I recommend Gaucho Hampstead for private and public occasions.

Great birthday celebration lunch - everything was perfect!

Went on Sunday for their 'bottomless roast' - got two choices of beef (sirloin/rump), lamb was also an option but found out that they had run out...might have been the time we went (2.30 pm). £37 pp and we refilled twice with all the trimmings! Compared to somewhere where if you ordered two rounds with all the trimmings, Gaucho definitely was worth it. Service was great when they attended but feel like there was a lack of service and urgency to attend to us, we were sat for 10 minutes before any attention was given to us. We would love to go again, probably earlier. The food was delicious, the meat was tender and the Yorkshire pudding was perfect!

I really liked my food, and staff were very welcoming. I only deducted one star because the place is too dark, this was hurting my eyes actually. Also, even though I really like that I can see the chefs cooking the food, when I was thereI could see a member of restaurant in sport wear who was making food in the kitchen area for himself and I saw him licking the spoon he used for cooking, this was really off putting.
