Gaucho - Hampstead in Camden

Delicious meat, the natural flavor of the different cuts we had was extraordinary! Service was friendly and efficient.

We will come back again,a very nice place and such an amazing experience.we had a table for 7 outdoors we enjoyed the time the personal was very polite ,the manager very friendly and professional .

Gaucho’s doesn’t usually miss the mark but we were pretty disappointed with out experience. It was for a special birthday and I’d called ahead to ask for a nice table.. when we arrived the table was between the kitchen, coffee machine, next to the door and right by the toilets and so felt quite hectic to really relax. We complained and the staff to their credit did their best to make it up by providing aperitifs on the house. The meal was great. The bill however had over charged us with drinks we hadn’t ordered. Although once we noticed the staff were apologetic. It was a lovely evening but small touches could have made for a better experience.

We was 7 people on the terrace, such a wonderful place.The personal was amazing and very friendly, the manager was very polite and professional.The food very good ,we had a great time and for sure will be back soon.

The food at Gaucho was excellent as usual. The bread was warm and fresh. We sat outside and for a while were the only table there so would have been nice if we had been checked on a little more often but otherwise the service was great.

I recently attended the cigar tasting event at Gaucho Hampstead, and it was an amazing experience. It was my first time at the event, and I had the opportunity to meet some like-minded individuals, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The event itself was well-organized, and the cigars paired perfectly with the atmosphere. Gabby, our host, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we’re already planning to return for another tasting. Highly recommended for both cigar enthusiasts and those looking for a unique, enjoyable evening out.

Modern elegant atmosphere. Hostess & servers were so nice. Food was amazing. The Humita, corn with whipped cheese & ancho chili oil was delicious & like no corn dish I’ve ever tasted. Fantastic experience. Will definitely return!

My go to restaurant when I'm craving tasty food, exceptional service, and relaxed environment. I must have visited Gaucho restaurants across the country over 100 times now over the years and they never disappoint. But the Hampstead branch in particular will always be my favourite. The whole team, from the warmly welcoming front of house, skillful bartenders, knowledgeable and perfectly attentive wait staff, and consistently talented kitchen staff just work seemlessly together to ensure me and my guests repeatedly recieve an amazing experience. The loyalty offers and generous discount is also a lovely touch to make me feel valued. Can't wait for the next visit. Thank you all as always 👍🏽

Never going to Gaucho Hampstead again. We were almost only ones in for lunch on a Tuesday and even then overcooked meat that cools down too quickly on unheated plates, dry chips, mean portion steak tartare, massively overpriced.

This is a restaurant we used to love years ago when we lived in the neighbourhood. Not been for a long while and it’s really stood the test of time. We had cervichi sea bass starter and beautifully cooked Argentinian streak. We had a nice chat with the staff and talked about how the place had changed - realising it was in fact 20 years since we had last been. Whilst enjoying our English sparkling wine the maître d brought a huge plate of cheese and biscuits with a note written in chocolate saying “welcome back”. We certainly won’t leave it so long next time. A lovely experience made even better by thoughtful staff.

Came midweek at the beginning of September with our youngest daughter and had the best Gaucho meal ever. Everything was perfect, the steak, fries, peppercorn sauce and salad. We've been coming for the last twenty five years and love the ambiance and food. Service was excellent as usual. Well done!

Wonderful experience. Went for my Dad birthday. He never had steak before and the waiter explained the different cuts of meat with examples. The food was delicious, they gave us a really nice place to sit and the experience as a whole was excellent. I would go back in a heartbeat.

This Goucho in particular has exceptional service. They are always so accommodating. We have all of our family dinners here, big and small, and we are always looked after by the staff. Doesn’t hurt that the food is AMAZING as well! I highly recommend this Goucho! Thank you!

I came to celebrate my mum’s birthday and the staff at Gaucho Hampstead did everything possible to ensure that we had an incredible experience. They made my mum’s special day spectacular from start to finish but especially by bringing out a cake with “Happy Birthday” written as well as a card for her. I would highly recommend Gaucho Hampstead for a birthday celebration!

Food, staff, wine selection, it was all excellent.

Superb steak, superb chimichurri dressing, great attention to detail by the service staff including the wine steward, the maitre’d and manager (who was an outstanding host by offering us a discount as welcome back to Gaucho). Great location and I encourage Gaucho Hampstead to get their license sorted out for the their outdoor area so I can enjoy a decent cigar with my meal! 🥩🍂💨

I always enjoy going here. The steaks are lovely, always cooked with care, and there are some excellent starters here too (try the scallops). They also have a well stocked bar and so any cocktails you might fancy should be available. All in all a great place to have dinner.

Food: The sides and the desserts were good. Between the five of us we ordered all of the sides so we were able to try them all. The causa in particular was a highlight. The tres leches with pears and the fried steaks were also good but unfortunately what did miss the mark was the steak itself, which just didn't do it for me. Service: Really good for the most part, the servers were attentive most of the time despite busier service. Atmosphere: it was pretty, we got a good seat and most diners looked like they were enjoying themselves.

Having tried every single item of the 30 year special menu of Gaucho at Hampstead and the Piccadilly branches over 48hrs I wanted to share a particular review of the Hampstead location. The food was delicious 🤤, but what made the experience enjoyable was the staff. We had an excellent waitress who simply brilliant and put up with our large party. Funny and attentive, extremely knowledgeable too. The food was delicious as expected and their steaks brilliant. Hampstead in particular was great with the space in the restaurant and even the welcoming doggy bowls outside.

We come here all the time, and it get’s better and better every time. Highly recommend this restaurant, new cocktail menu is fantastic and all the staff are outstanding! Keep it up

I went here for a Sunday roast with my adult daughter and nephew. The food was delicious - I can certainly recommend the Sunday roast. I paired this with the house red which is a delicious Argentina Malbec. My nephew chose a burger and he said it was the best he has ever eaten. The staff are fantastic and really go the extra mile. Victoria, our waitress is a star and the manager is excellent. We will certainly return.

This was my first time visiting Gaucho, unfortunately we expected a little more… We needed to approach the waiter in order to ask for the wine menu, he didn’t recommend any dishes or wine, didn’t ask how was the food… the steak was a little chewy, I ordered medium rare but received medium. Service could be a little more attentive.

Gaucho is a first rate establishment with the highest quality steaks. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is perfect for that romantic dinner. We’ve been there some half a dozen times and always enjoyed the culinary experience. You can’t hate a 32-day aged filet perfectly seasoned and cooked.

Although the staff are lovely here, the food is well overpriced for what it is. Over the years, the food has gone down hill, in my opinion. Lovely restaurant inside but that's about it.

The best Sunday Roast in town! We had the best time at Gaucho Hampsted. One of our favourite local restaurants to dine at. Food is amazing, staff are friendly and attentive and the service was impeccable! We’ve been there countless times but it was our first time trying out the Sunday Roast! All I can say is, we will most definitely be returning for more soon!

We were warmly greeted by Christos & his team. Our waiter Renato was exceptionally polite, professional & thoughtful, making sure we wanted for nothing. Well worth a visit in my opinion & we shall return.

The food was great...chips were salty. I was seated in the restaurant for 5mins before anyone showed up.

Slap dash service. Came in dressed up casually, treated differently to those dressed up for occasion. Received mouldy cutlery. Messed up on our orders twice - no apology. The steak very chewy and lacked no flavours. Not impressed. Normally am a regular customer however will not be going again

The food was outstanding! The meat tender and juicy, the corn ceviche different + out of this world and the provoleta was exquisite. Service was friendly and efficient, since we were greeted by the gentleman at the entrance who inquired about an issue we'd had before with an Open Table cheque, all the way down to our server who was very nice. Definitely will return first chance we get!

Been going to Gaucho for years and this is the first time , I left disappointed, as I asked for a round table and was denied, because we were only 4 people and the table right next to it only had 3 people . In the end I spend over £300 which I know I can spend somewhere else .

I visited Gaucho Hampstead twice in the month of March, Mother’s Day being the first for Sunday roast. Greeted by the friendly reception team and promptly shown to our table with a front row to the kitchen. The food was delicious from starter to desserts. The roast was a very generous portion with the meat cooked to perfection and accompanied with great quality vegetables. Special shout out for that cauliflower cheese which completed the roasted beautifully! We were well cared for by Sinzi (hope I got the spelling right). Just to also say that the restaurant was exceptionally busy being Mother’s Day but still delivered great service and food. My husband and I also popped in this past weekend for drinks and WOW, Ian at the bar conjured up some delectable cocktails. I enjoyed the atmosphere sitting around the bar area and having a relaxing drink. One of us are off alcohol so they do a selection of mocktails and other drinks too on their menu. All in all, I recommend a visit here whether you are a local of Hampstead or just popping by for a visit. The friendly team is sure to take care of you.

Fantastic experience. It was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last . Our server was amazing, she showed us all the cuts of meat available, explained how they were prepared by the chef along with recommendations for on how to have them cooked by the chef. Best steak we have ever tasted!!!!!

All 5 out of 5 steaks like candy best waiters (Diego) and tge atmosphere in that place it make you now wanna leave. I recommend family diners for special occasions or for a date. Enjoy

My partner and I have celebrated our anniversary and we chose Gaucho for this purpose. The atmosphere was very nice, we were made feel welcome by our host Sinzi and we followed her recommendations from the menu. They made our day even more special with a celebratory desert and prosecco. Our host Sinzi was very attentive and she made our visit to Gaucho a memorable one.

Gaucho does doggy brunch the first Saturday of every month and it was so much fun. It can get a bit chaotic at moments but they get a three course free dog meal.

Nice Restaurant but the steak was not as good as it should be for a restaurant specialising in steak. Crepe came to the table quite cold and had to be returned

My companion and I really enjoyed lunch at Goucho's in Hampstead on Sunday last. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The ambience was relaxed and pleasing and the restaurant though busy was not noisy. We will most definitely return.

Unfortunately this was probably the worst meal I have ever had in the gaucho steak was not cooked sent it back pacifically asked medium with caramelisation. I want the flavour it came back just the same night they didn’t bother. I think I think twice before going back in there this is the second time I’ve been unlucky With a steak In there Servis was always smiling down from Waitress to the manager, constantly When our Steaks arrived, they been cut into force still no Caramelisation, it was just blind and flavourless overall disappointing a lot of money for an average steak. I won’t be eating in there again

No where better for a steak. I’ve tried numerous times to replicate what Goucho can do with a good quality cut of beef but to no avail. This is where we come for a big celebration - on this occasion a zero birthday and they very kindly wrote a birthday message on our dessert plate with chocolate. The waiter could hardly speak/understand English and got most of the order wrong. He gave up and got the manager, who was not much better. Average Sunday roast, and my roast potatoes are 10 times better. Will not be going back. Has gone downhill. Most disappointing.

We were seated at a table for max 2 people. Totally unacceptable. By the time we ordered water, wine, starters, mains and side dishes it was impossible to fit everything in. Chairs were horrid. You couldn’t move them. SO heavy! And SO low my husband is very tall and when he sat down it was like the table was his chest level. Don’t think we will visit Hampstead Gaucho again soon!

As always a 10 out of 10 meal and 10 out of 10 for service. We had an afternoon lunch booking. There was only a few other tables booked so the restaurant was nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly as always and a manager took his time to come and say hello to our table and to check everything was okay. The food was excellent as always and actually better than the Covent Garden branch we met at the week before.
