Gaucho Charlotte Street in Camden

It was great. The 2 sides - carpaccio and sausage platter was great although the sausage was a bit burnt but it wasn’t really a problem for me The steak tho! I just ordered a rump steak and it was so juicy and well cooked i enjoyed every bite. Diana was absolutely kind and attentive. I would definitely go back to try other steaks

Lovely birthday meal here with my partner for the meat bar experience. Domingo was very friendly snf incredibly knowledgeable, we had some great conversations. Each dish perfectly paired with wines by Jake. We'll definitely be back.

First time at this branch. Great steak. Ordered medium rare. Was given a medium rare. Was looked after by Edit, who was lovely. Would recommend.

El personal era muy amable y servicial, el restaurante no estaba lleno, ya que era un lunes por la noche, pero siento que tal vez un miembro adicional del personal habría sido bueno, ya que estaban corriendo mucho y fue difícil llamar su atención para pedir más bebidas. Really enjoyed diner here. The staff were so nice, and didn’t interrupt us even though we stayed late till a little bit after closing. The food was nice, and ambience great.

A beautiful interior coupled with friendly and respectful service. Caught up with a long-time friend over an early dinner this evening. By 8pm, the restaurant starts to get busy, and the sound level gets quite loud. Cocktail each, shared steak with three shared sides and a carafe of red wine. Pricey at £85 each, but well cooked and tasty. Perhaps the food could have been warmer, but it is cold tonight.

Super cool place that used to be a theatre. Highly recommend the food and the staff were so attentive and made us feel really welcome.

Came here to have try the winter set menu with my friends. Food was delicious and Amy was a great host! This branch also organised halal steaks for us which was super!

It’s a great place for lunch or dinner, and January is particularly nice for me as it’s a bit quieter at this top quality popular steak restaurant. It was my go-to favourite restaurant in 2024, and still is in 2025!

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and were really impressed. The venue is very elegant, with an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening. The service was impeccable thanks to Diana, who with professionalism and friendliness recommended us some exceptional appetizers. The meat was really soft and tasty, cooked to perfection. A truly pleasant experience that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy quality dishes in a refined environment.

As it was a week night the restaurant was not very busy and we enjoyed a relaxed experience in a cozy atmosphere. The staff looking after our table was professional and available. We celebrated a birthday and they made sure we had a nice treat. The menu is efficient and allow a real experience for the meet lover but alternatives are available too. Unfortunately the wine we selected from the menu was not available.

Excellent quality meat, competent and very professional staff, wide choice of excellent Argentine wines and more. I was particularly satisfied with this dinner, I absolutely recommend it to anyone passing through London!

I was there for the movie dinner. Anyone who expects an “Eat the Film” like from Tik Tok is wrong. The food doesn't really match the film and isn't timed either. We were served a tropical pineapple cocktail to accompany the film Santa Clause. The steak was very tasty, although very rare. The minced meatballs were dry and tasteless. You will also literally be filled with a glass of champagne, two cocktails and a glass of wine within 1.5 hours. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. Among the guests was a family with a 1-year-old child who was regularly disruptive by crying, laughing and talking. I think such an event should only allow children who can watch the film quietly. Overall, it was still a cool experience in a nice atmosphere.

This was my first time visiting London, and to be honest, I’ve never had the best experience with food at restaurants here. However, this Argentine restaurant completely changed my perspective. I had an amazing time with my friends—the food was absolutely delicious, and the wine was equally great. What truly made the experience stand out was Diana, the supervisor, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensured we had a fantastic time. We’re so grateful to her for making this such a memorable experience!

Our waitress was extremely rude with very poor service. The food took a ridiculously long time to come out despite the restaurant not being busy and the food was cold. Overall a really poor experience.

My medium rare steak was perfectly cooked by the Head Chef, as J guess the sous-chef was taking a well deserved break. I could taste why the Head Chef holds that title, and it takes many trials to taste the difference between a steak cooked by the Head Chef, and his otherwise very competent team of sous-chefs. The ambience was just perfect as was the service. Little surprise Gaucho is my favourite steak place in London, and within that group, Charlotte St is tops for food, service and ambience.

First time at this branch. Gaucho is always consistent. It was very busy so quite loud and the service was a little less attentive than normal though the bar staff were excellent.

Sé qué esperar en Gaucho, pero abruma seriamente en esta ocasión El bistec era excelente, pero el Mac & Cheese y patatas fritas eran promedio y bastante insípido Mi principal decepción fue que al saludarnos en la puerta principal, y luego de nuevo en la recepción inferior nos avisaron a qué hora teníamos que desalojar nuestra mesa. Entiendo perfectamente que hay un límite de tiempo para una mesa, ya lo habíamos acordado en la reserva, no debería ser lo primero que escuches. El restaurante en este punto solo tenía 4 mesas tomadas, y tuvimos que pedir menús en múltiples ocasiones. Si me quieres fuera a una hora en particular, proporcionar un buen servicio, generalmente arruinado una buena comida. Salimos a tiempo

Food poor - small steak, frozen potatoes, over fried chips, bought-in desert. Ladies toilets unheated and in disrepair. A completely over-rated restaurant. So many are better.

Never been to a Gaucho and I won't be hurrying back. A total shambles A friend booked this on my behalf for my birthday. 10 people. When we arrived we were held upstairs in narrow and drafty corridor for 15 mins because the bar was full. Eventually sat down. A very busy night by the looks of it and the waitress was little put out even before we started. Straight in for mains. 3 of us had the gaucho sampler. Food turned up with the waitress getting fluster because the carriers was doing something not to liking. Veg we had steam broccoli stems, chips, and cheese dish and 3 fried eggs When we started eating but soon discovered most of food was tepid on the verge of cold. It took so long, 50 mins, we dug in but had to stop. I suspect they had been cooked but forgotten. By then it was too late to send back as it was late. It would have taken another 50 mins for us to get the food. The fired eggs arrived 10 mins after the mains were deliver but at least they were hot. Absolutely ridiculous, which was a shame as I had heard good things about the place. Saving grace was the manger of the night came over and we had a chat but it didn't help in the fact it was my birthday and it was spoilt and I hardly ate my food. A real shame. A couple had the filet and they said it was lovely but would have been better if it had hot. Don't get me wrong, the steaks we all cooked perfectly well. They were just cold. What a shame.

The steak was good, I had the Ancho 300g (41£). The sides were luke warm - (fries and broccoli) which spoiled the meal. It was not that busy and for these prices I'd expect more. Air-con was blowing a gale which made it uncomfortable - we were offered another table but it would not have made much difference. There are better steak restaurants in London.

The steak cooked by Domingo was cooked to Perfection, I would say well done, but that might confuse matters! I must try harder to remember all the staff names, from the service staff who brought my steak upstairs with a lovely smile to Ruth who always has a gracious welcome despite how busy the holiday season is.

I’ve celebrated quite a few birthdays at Gaucho and once again, I had a wonderful birthday celebration here. Easy booking process, the service was great, food was great and all 15 of my guests left happy and wanting to come back!

Really good food and design, but the service was unbelievably slow. Lunch in London shouldn't take more than 2 hours, with most of it waiting on the staff. Wouldn't mind trying the evening, but lunch is out. We have work to do.

I had the lomo steak and salad, both perfectly presented and cooked, I miss the spinach which Gaucho made exceptionally well, but the salad was a good alternative. The service, at this branch is as always, the standard that the other branches, including Piccadilly should aspire to. Gaucho generally have excellent location and exquisitely designed & furnished, especially Charlotte St. I think the Tower Bridge one is closed for upgrades, which is the location for views. What Charlotte St lacks in views, is more than made up by the fantastic staff and quality of food. It remains my favourite repeat location after work dining sanctuary.

The steak was delicious. The beef empanadas were spectacular, the accompanying sauce was weapons-grade spicy but yummy.

We were incredibly looked after by Gaucho Charlotte Street for our anniversary dinner. The entire team went the extra mile to accommodate us and make us feel not just welcome, but special. I cannot believe that any restaurant or establishment in today's age could still find the time in their business models and competitive industry to be so incredibly attentive, warm and exceptional. A true credit to the Gaucho chain and a bar setter in how it should be done! The food was also good, to boot!

Gaucho is the “Go To” place for perfectly cooked grass fed steaks, not seen or tasted anywhere better, not even from the famous New York steak house… (Yes, New Yorkers & regular commuters, that ONE, forget USDA, go for Gaucho grass fed). Sadly on this occasion my favourite accompaniment to the steaks, spinach, was not available. As usual when you want a great steak, but haven’t ordered one from a farm days in advance, the only option for that high quality experience is Gaucho.

It took ages to get served. There was a loud wine tasting next to me. When the food arrived the steak was over done and sides were cold. To be fair to the servers they replaced the food but then I had to wait another elongated time and had only 10mins to eat before I needed to leave! Not a good experience.

Food was ok Waiting staff was friendly. Good knowledge, but no upsell. Looked like they where to bussy. Unfortunately we waited 1 houre and 30 min fore oure starters. Nice atmosphere.

Really good with dietary needs although think half my food was missing which suggests that it’s prepackaged or pre-made. Husband loved his steak though.

Manager was great, fixed any problems and made sure everything was taken care of.

When you want a top quality grass fed steak, but don’t want to travel to the ends of the earth for it, then I can always count on Gaucho at Charlotte St. I need to check if they have a Barolo or a Montepulciano…. next time!

Delicious food and helpful, friendly staff. Great meal. I had the Crab, Chorizo steak and the pancake dessert from the set menu and it was lovely.

The restaurant's interior design is stunning, and both the wine and appetizers were great. We ordered the beef platter (rump, rib eye, fillet & sirloin), medium rare, but it was a bit too rare, and the rump had a very very strong gamey taste. After sharing our feedback with the manager, they graciously replaced it with a ribeye steak, which I requested to cook medium. The result was perfect. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared, especially the Wagyu burger. It was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The waitress was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to return and try more of the menu!

Great food & Service at Gaucho Charlotte St, perfectly cooked steak and sauces. It was a shame the downstairs part was not open earlier, and would benefit from having Art Deco styling and furnishing as Gaucho has the right ambience for that.

Went there couple of weeks ago for dinner and wine tasting with our client. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant Mirjana and her team were simply wonderful and there was literally nothing we asked for that wasn’t a too much trouble! Let’s not forget about the outstanding food. I have been to few of the gaucho restaurants in the past but this one is hands down the best one Thanks you

Great steak and service was excellent - even did some scrambled eggs for a fussy child!

I like that the service staff at Charlotte St are exceptionally good, matching the quality of the food. What I would like to know is if the beef at Gaucho is grass fed or grain fed… (This can be tested in a lab because grain fed beef has high levels of inflammatory omega 6 in the meat, while grass fed does not).

The Staff was amazing in making our night special. The Provoleta appetizer was delicious and the Dulce de leche Cheese cake blew our minds served with a side of Dulce de leche and what I believe was gantilli cream. Great wine selection. We were celebrating 1 Year Anniversay and they made it perfect for us. Very clean and elegant!

Food was great, had the classic burger as never had one here before and a salmon. The birthday cake was a nice touch and unexpected.

Very upscale and nice dining room, the service was great as the staff were professional and attentive. Although the food was quite expensive it was mostly delicious, with some minor issues, the tira de ancho ribeye was perfectly cooked yet it came with very little sauce and I had to order more, the spatchcocked chicken was tender and juicy, but one of the pieces was mostly gristle and bone. The classic burger had a good selection of toppings but the patty was bland. I was also disappointed that there were no small garnishes or sides, ever side had to be ordered separately. In conclusion it was a great experience with good food, although the food could have been better, it was still delicious and I would definitely come back!

Another great time at gaucho, although our first at this location. We were the only diners in the restaurant for a little while, so a bit quieter than we would prefer, but also expected on a weekday mid afternoon visit. Food was cooked deliciously and we enjoyed our empanadas which our waiter recommended. Would return!
