Food was great, had the classic burger as never had one here before and a salmon. The birthday cake was a nice touch and unexpected.

Gaucho is my favourite go-to restaurant chain & as always, we enjoyed a thoroughly good meal with great service & food which as always, is cooked to perfection . A big thank you to the gaucho team for looking after me & thank you for the bottle of moèt in recognition of my loyalty it is much appreciated.

Very upscale and nice dining room, the service was great as the staff were professional and attentive. Although the food was quite expensive it was mostly delicious, with some minor issues, the tira de ancho ribeye was perfectly cooked yet it came with very little sauce and I had to order more, the spatchcocked chicken was tender and juicy, but one of the pieces was mostly gristle and bone. The classic burger had a good selection of toppings but the patty was bland. I was also disappointed that there were no small garnishes or sides, ever side had to be ordered separately. In conclusion it was a great experience with good food, although the food could have been better, it was still delicious and I would definitely come back!

Had a lovely meal here, and Ruth was a lovely host - super accommodating and great recommendations. I was nervous about the food as a vegetarian but the pasta & sides were amazing. Also the margarita was 10/10.

Booked this super 30th birthday legacy deal and thoroughly enjoyed (for the 2nd time!). Swapped my menu choices and loved it all - the ceviche, the steak, the puds. Really well looked after by the lovely Ami on both occasions. Visiting other sites during this window to share the experience with other friends.

Ami might be an angel, frankly. I came in to celebrate something solo, and she went above and beyond with being friendly, knowledgeable about wines, the menu, and especially desserts! If you’re in her hands here, you are going to be a very happy guest!! The food was also absolutely amazing and worth the splurge. Her recommendations are fantastic and the seabass ceviche, is completely to die for. Ami is the best!!!! (Also Ami… I got it!)

If you LOVE a really good quality steak... Look no further than this restaurant! Wow. The cut I had was cooked to perfection with a matching sauce upgrade. It may have been the best I've ever had in my life! The waiter knew loads about the menu. There was a coat check at the front. RSVP is a must. Even though upstairs is more intimate for lunch, the downstairs is huge! There is a fully stocked bar and loads of seating. This place is very posh and intimate, perfect for any occasion! Although my travels may never take me here again, I highly recommend visiting at least once in your life! (P.s. If you have ♿ accessibility issues, I would recommend calling in advance to see what is available to accommodate you. I am not sure if there is a lift or access for wheelchair users.)

I was not permitted to cash in my gift card by the server because I had already obtained a member discount from the meal. After presentation to the manager that the gift card was issued by head office and any discount involved is a matter oh the head office, she offered a refund but I declined.

brilliant for an impressive steak dinner

I had dinner with good friend at gaucho charlotte street on Thursday evening. Food was great and service even better! Staff really attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable too. We were served by Sam and Robert, they were really passionate about their work and go extra mile to surprise my guest as it was his birthday. Well done and keeping it up!

Very good steakhouse the quality of meat was very good but small portion. The waitresses were fantastic explained everything. Good wine offered for the dinner date however I did get a big headache. I would still go again because I had a good time.

Very Vey Disappointing !!! Forget Gaucho and its offering.. shocking... Went for anniversary meal six of us... all said the same.. not good. Start with wine ... basic cheapest wine STG£44.. PLONK !! Quality and portions poor.. we laughed at it .. really bad.. Most of all , very OVERPRICED. we are foodies eat out twice weekly .. We so sad we picked this ' rip off joint' AVOID AVOID AVOID. If the food was nice but overpriced we would be happy.. sad eh

The gauchos film club is hosted here and honestly the staff are amazing, the service just feels so personal and they are so efficient and friendly and they really make you feel special. The menus lightly themed on the films are delicious! Such good quality and fun and quirky way to watch an old favourite film of mine this time! Also for the standard of food and service you get from a gauchos restaurant it is such great value for money. Absolutely love this branch of the restaurant and love the film club! Hope they keep doing what they do!

Firstly, all staff are lovely, kind and polite and willing to help. There’s a cloakroom for your coat. Took a while to place our drinks order but quickly followed up with food order (as we had time to choose!), starters took a while but they were lovely, burrata starter and prawns starter, main was chateaubriand with a chips and truffle Mac cheese side. Absolutely insane piece of meat, tasted incredible! The bill was huge but the food was so good and worth it!

I have to say they have limited options on their menu, so I would call before you make a booking 👍🏼 Shown: •Welcome drinks •Starter : Burrata x 2 •Mains: Rib Eye Steak & Steak Burger (substituted) •Dessert: Dulche De Leche Cheesecake & Banana Nutella Pancake 🤔Verdict? The food was amazing, however the service was super slow (we went on a Saturday), considering we dined from 5.45pm. Visited for my partners Birthday on a Wednesday and had the Wednesday Date Night special which was a Chateaubriand and a selection of sides, sauces and wines. Staff were fantastic and went above-and-beyond to ensure we were happy even making a few changes to our order FOC as my partner was not a big wine drinker. Front of House took coats and was very welcoming. Food was to the incredibly high Gaucho standard as usual and may have been the best Steak I've ever had. Our waitress put together a small Birthday Dessert which was unexpected and made a really special touch. Will be returning again!

Yet another great experience at Gaucho. Even my dog got to try the steak ! We been taken care by Sam who was very attentive and friendly even after a long shift. Great choice of food and wine. The Barman can create any cocktail you ask and we went for Rum Punch. Just wanted to say Thank you again :)

We were very well received by Miriam and the team, it was spectacular from our arrival to our departure, we ordered a meat board where the cuts were presented, unfortunately I didn't take photos, but the selection of meats is first class. It's worth going to this restaurant

Been to a few Gaucho restaurants. First time at Charlotte Street. Welcome was warm and friendly. Food was great as always from Gaucho. This restaurant had more of an intimate feel than the others I have been to. Would highly recommend.

We went to the ABBA night. The staff were great really helpful and fun. The film was great , ambience brilliant but the food was mediocre. Given it was a ABBA night I would have thought lamb was the choice of meet not steak. Not ready in sync with the film.

Starters were great and mains were excellent. Perfectly cooked steaks all around the table. Service was very slow and staff nowhere to be seen some times, but very attentive when available. They were very helpful with getting kids food and modifying their burgers just as they liked.

Service was wonderful. Steak was delicious but the meat was a bit firm, not fresh enough maybe.. mashed potato was not creamy as I anticipated, everything was missing salt. The crepe was tasty, the dulce "mousse" as you can see - was not a mousse..

Tucked away on the corner of Charlotte Street it has two levels below ground with lovely plush seating and very nice atmosphere. We were quickly seated and the service was attentive and amazing from start to finish. We had two starters. The Burrata and prawns. Both very tasty. I had the 400g steak with chimcurri and wife had sirloin. Broccoli, mac and cheese and spinach for sides. Shared a carafe of lovely red. Great meal.

This place is so good I came two days in a row. I am really happy to have followed the servers' recommendations. The first evening, sea bass ceviche took me to heaven, the second evening - the trout ceviche took me beyond that. The steaks and wine were superb too. It's pricy, but worth every pound.

The location is tucked away at far end of Charlotte Street so it took us a bit to find the location. I misunderstood the reservation time and arrived late 🙃 but the maitre d accommodated us to an available table by the window at the ground floor. When you’re on the ground floor the restaurant looks super cosy, but they have massive dining spaces downstairs. We started the dinner with glasses of champagne and my dinner followed by steak tartar which was really good quality meat and glad that it was served with poached egg not the raw ones. For main I chose ribeye with chimichuri sauce and the meat was perfectly cooked in medium rare. For side I ordered mac & cheese which came in generous size. We had no space left for dessert so ordered few more drinks instead. Out host Alice was super attentive and friendly, really complimented the treat night for my young colleague. Overall really pleased with my experience and will definitely recommend & come back again.

My daughter took me for a birthday treat, we watched Bridget Jones whilst being served a lovely meal. The staff were very friendly. Lovely and relaxing atmosphere.

I unfortunately misunderstood the reservation time and arrived late, but they kindly and swiftly accommodated us to a window seating. We’re on the ground floor level which looked a rather cosy space for Gaucho but they have massive space downstairs. We started with glasses of champagne followed by steak tartar and pastries. I had steak tartar and it was really good quality. Really pleased that it was served with poached egg not the raw ones. For main we both had steak and my ribeye was cooked perfectly medium rare. For side I ordered mac & cheese which came with good size. By the end we both were totally full & didn’t have space for dessert. The host Alice was super attentive and friendly, made sure we were looked after from start till end. Really pleased with our visit, will be visiting again.

We had a lovely meal whilst visiting London. Nice to see the children's menu included a steak option which of course our daughter (age 5) went for. I did have to ask for it cooked medium/rare as the waiting staff didn't ask. Please give our kids the option of how their steak is cooked just as you would the parents. Only criticism would be an offer of some cooked veg for the kids would be nice.

Great part of the chain, more relaxed than some of their busier branches. Food was really well prepared and presented, the spiral cut and herb marinaded sirloin and fillet were exceptional, my son said it was the best steak he had ever eaten!! Try them as they are delicious. Overall a really good meal and great service

My nephew booked this resturant for dinner and I was at first apprehensive. We were sitted in a dark place and requested to be moved which was done and I loved that our hostess was responsive. We ordered steaks that were to die for. Very juicy and succulent Argentinian beef. If you are looking for authentic Argentinian beef, this is the place to be. Our waiter for the evening was superb. Look out for Chiara. She is amazing & awesome. You will love her service lots and she’s great with the wines and cocktails so don’t forget to ask for her recommendation. Loved the resturant ambiance and they have a section for live cooking and a personal chef if you book in advance. The perfect place to have awesome steak in London. Try it out, you will love it.
