Tes bonne table autour de viandes d’Argentine excellentes , parfaitement maturées et très bien cuites. Service un peu désordonné et erreur dans l’addition. Ça gâche un peu le plaisir .

This place has to be one of my most favourite places to eat fantastic food and the service you get in second to none... You need to book in advance to get a nice table, but when you get in, you can tell how well looked after and what time has been put into this restaurant.. Million per cent I will be back. Thanks again

We picked Gauchos during a recent visit to Edinburgh as it was dog friendly. I had been to a Gauchos in London before many years ago so knew it would be a great experience and couldn’t believe that a restaurant of this type would permit dogs. The staff were very welcoming, and couldn’t do more for us, and kept checking in on us to ensure we were okay, recommending dishes to us, refreshing our drinks. The food was delicious and lovely portions sizes. The interior was absolutely beautiful and it felt like such a special evening out. Our dog was made to feel really welcome. We look forward to coming back in the future.

I booked a meal for the two off us for my wife’s birthday.We both thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.It started with a nice welcome ,followed by great service from a very knowledgable waitress regarding the food on the menu.I wished I could remember her name but hopefully the owners will see this and congratulate her.The Salmon taco as Amuse-Boucher followed by Sea Bass ceviche and Chicken Empanada starters,the Sirloin and Rump steak then chocolate Brownies to finish.When I asked for the bill we were given sorbet with Prosecco poured over it as a complimentary as my wife’s birthday,which was a lovely touch.A really lovely meal,well done to all Gaucho staff.

Great food, great service. But unfortunately with an ongoing hammering music in the background. No need for this, really spoiled a nice evening

We had a delicious and extremely good value meal, thanks to Gaucho's 30th birthday menu, with a bottle of excellent Malbec (£30 for 3 courses, and £30 for the wine). The welcome and service was excellent - many thanks, Dori!

What a shame! I’ve loved Gaucho all over the UK. I arrived tonight late, checked that service was still on. Ordered a medium rare steak. After 15 mins a clearly well done version arrives. One bite confirms this. After calling over one of the team they are very apologetic and offer a replacement. By now there’s just less than a dozen people seated. When I check my phone I realise that it’s taken another 25 minutes for nothing else to appear. I had to leave. Such a shame.

We attended the swiftie brunch to get us ready for the Eras Tour and we're so glad we did. We were welcomed by a really friendly front of house team and our server Andrea added to the experience with his charisma and attentive service. We had the popcorn chicken and Sausage plater to start both of which were gorgeous and melted in the mouth. For mains we both had the burger which was filled with a fried egg, bacon, mushroom and tomato my mum said she hadn't had a burger like that in years! For dessert we shared the warm chocolate brownie with ice cream with a nut crumb which was delicious and to finish it all off our brunch came with 4 drinks each all with swiftie themes. I would absolutely recommend Gaucho for any occasion!

Came back to Goucho after having a great experience for my boyfriend’s birthday last year. Was offered a free bottle of Prosecco to celebrate my birthday which was a lovely added touch. Our waiter Andrea couldn’t have been more helpful! The friendliest and kindest person I have ever experienced in hospitality!! Had a lovely time celebrating my birthday, couldn’t recommend this place enough!! Thank you so much to Andrea and his team for such a lovely evening :)

Great venue. Beautifully done. Wonderful service. Worst steaks I have ever eaten. We had the sampler. Most expensive on the menu. From first bite absolutely COLD. Terrible. Zero warmth. None! I never send food back so we ate cold left over steak. A total waste of money and time. If I come back to Edinburgh I will stay as far away from this place as I can except to perhaps have a drink. Those were great. I simply cannot tell you what a grave disappointment this was. There was a huge group of obviously more important people than is in thier “wine room” and they got all the attention and I am guessing all the properly warm steaks. Ours were terrible. Sad since it is a very warm space. Good servers. Nice drinks. Terrible food. I led a group of 37 people to Edinburgh and we send many more. I will be removing this restaurant from our recommended list

Great Argentinian restaurant. Steaks were delicious and they have some wonderful seafood dishes. Service was excellent and the wine list is extensive. Would definitely recommend.

This restaurant has the best quality stake in the UK that we have experienced. Viola in particular was superb and her attentive nice and service and made us feel welcome and explained the menu and wine auctions to us. Two with the best service we have an experienced in a very long time. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Although not the cheapest, the food is the highest quality and we have no complaints.

Booked last minute for a late sitting. We were a bit apprehensive being a chain restaurant. However we were really impressed with the quality of the food and service. Our waiter Aleks was really knowledgeable. He knew the food and drink menu inside and out. He gave us his recommendations which we went with and it was fantastic. Would go back !

Great atmosphere, even better food.....Would Highly recommend. Rum Honey cocktail was one of the best I had during our entire visit.

They still ‘introduce you to the meat’ but it’s not a key part of the experience anymore. Short, sharp and unimpressive. Food was average, over-salted fries (to the point of not being edible). Very underwhelmed.

We came here as a celebratory dinner during our trip. We both enjoyed our meals and I really like the two drinks I had from the bar. My husband struck out twice on getting the whisky he wanted but our sever and the bartender found something he'd enjoy.

Had a great night at Gaucho, great bar atmosphere and cocktails were lovely. Ordered the same cocktail twice and it tasted completely different second time round but they were happy to replace it. Steaks were great, mac and cheese a little tasteless but everything else was good. Spent quite a lot as it was a treat, not sure it was worth it when compared to other steak restaurants but still had a great night.

I visited here with my partner as part of our long weekend away in Edinburgh! First impressions of Gaucho were great! Amazing decor and vibe. We were seated very quickly and staff were very friendly. Sorry guys but I was extremely disappointed with how you operate taking customers orders. Our waitress was very informative but I don’t really appreciate someone telling me how I should have my steak cooked or telling me I cannot have a certain steak because the chefs wouldn’t cook a certain way. For that reason I probably wouldn’t return to a gaucho now.

Over priced and completely underwhelmed. The steak had no flavour. £5 for one tiny empanada, what a rip off. The sides could fit in your eye, tiny portions. With the prices they charge to left with no toilet roll in the bathroom or hand towels is quite frankly appalling. Won’t be back can make better food at home. The restaurant and staff are lovely but unfortunately this does not make up for it’s misgivings.

Food was ok but I’m shocked to see you add on your tip at the end of the bill and include 10% extra in the total bill. So cheeky!! If people want to tip they will I wish I had noticed this earlier and would have asked them to take it off. Puts you off even wanting to tip good meal or not!

Wow! Just wow! Monica ( I think that was her name) fantastic, so friendly and welcoming even under COVID rules. Cannot fault the service and ability to make you feel valued , food ......just awesome , cannot recommend highly enough- everyone there deserves credit 👍🏻

Steaks were amazing, excellent quality and well cooked. Probably some of the tastiest steak we have eaten in the UK but.... side dishes are all charged extra at £5 each! Yes we paid £5 for one large oyster mushroom sliced into 3 pieces, £5 for about 30 pence worth of spinach and £15 on 3 small portions of chips. Desserts were mass produced and very underwhelming. We would maybe return if in Edinburgh but only for steak and chips.

Great food, atmosphere and service. Overall a fabulous evening, high recommend. The extended ‘eat out to help out’ is also a bonus.

Came here during the Eat Out to Help Out scheme in August. It’s not somewhere we would usually go for as it is quite pricey but nice for a special occasion! The food lived up to expectations - some of the best steak I’ve ever had. I was super impressed by the way our steaks were cooked and the sides offered were also really tasty including the buttered lettuce and wilted spinach. Craig served us - he was attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a great evening and would definitely recommend Gaucho to anyone who likes steak!
