Lovely coffee house, very welcoming & Dog friendly which is a plus in my book, can't wait to take my fur baby..food was lovely super chicken sandwich with a lovely side salad..very nice coffee, nice warm atmosphere..

Lovely little place I found as I couldn't find a parking place at the heath hospital. Very friendly and cosy the club sandwich I had was lovely.

Visited in February 2024 for a quick coffee. Name has now been changed to Four Seasons Coffee House. Coffee and service was very good. Plenty of seating available. Recommended if you are visiting Roath Park.

The location of the restaurant is very special. It is really good to have this quiet and comfortable coffee shop on a corner of a busy roundabout and multiple streets. I especially like the original wooden furniture and furnishings. I feel like I can't put it down.

Popped in yesterday for some filming and lunch, although it was their busiest time of day & we were a group of 8 they accommodated our needs & we’re very friendly. I had a chicken bacon and mayo baguette which was fresh and tasty, the rest of the group were happy with their orders, we really appreciated the extra care. Thank you

This has a lovely neighbourhood vibe. Very relaxed, beautifully clean. Service great. Coffee and lemon cake so inviting particularly after a wander round Roath Park. Nicely arranged seating and a hypnotic fish tank add to the atmosphere.

Lovely sandwiches, I had the club sandwich, very busy, lots of dogs which doesn't bother me, but some may not like. Well worth a trip, a little cold in there so wear a jumper.

This is my favourite coffee shop. I like the vibe and I like sitting at a bar table by the window. Highly recommended

Having driven past a few times, I thought I’d try it and it did not disappoint. Great place for a catch up with friends or to do a little work. Good choice of seating, interesting decor. I enjoyed a coffee with shortbread and the gentleman who served me was friendly and polite. I’ll definitely be back!

I am absolutely convinced that I have reviewed this place before, but am happy to do so again as Google seems to have forgotten it! This cafe is well placed for Roath Park and Pleasure Gardens, making it ideal to pair up with a walk before or after. It is also dog friendly. There is a small car park if required. Food and coffee are decent, with the food in particular having some specials based on time of year, in addition to staples and favourites. The build your own breakfast option is a great touch. This is a fairly regular haunt for us, with two and four person options in the front and larger tables towards the back. Staff are friendly and this is your best cafe option around Roath Park area.

Stumbled across this lovely little café on our last morning of a weekend stay in Cardiff. Lovely service, coffee & food! We would definitely visit again! Such a bonus to have a car park around the back too!

We called here, firstly as it is dog friendly - dogs loved their ice cream. We had a selection of coffees and cakes which were delicious. Close to Roath Park, which Is handy.

Even at its busiest like today with the half marathon spectators, the staff were great and the food was scrumptious!

Staff were unfriendly and rude, ordered an iced chai latte and it just tasted of milk - absolutely awful - emptied it. Veggie breakfast took ages so so my friend and I were eating at different times. When I asked how long breakfast was going to be I was rudely Told by the blonde girl serving ‘I have no idea.’ Didn’t come with any toast. Just awful service really

Popped in here to grab a coffee after taking my dog around Roath Park. Really nice coffee, super friendly and polite staff. Good selection of food/snacks for both humans and dogs. Made for a lovely start to the day, so glad that I decided to pop in. I'll certainly be back.

Nice coffee bar just outside Roath Park. They have made good use of an unusual shaped building.

Perfect family run venue for our family to get together for my sisters birthday. Terry was extremely helpful, with lots of suggestions to make it a great evening. Food was lovely, plenty of space to mingle and enjoy, a really relaxed atmosphere. Recommend for parties and large gatherings with friends and family who want the place to themselves!

It's like a tardis! Surprisingly larger inside than a first impression. Great atmosphere, food, coffee and service. Even when very busy. Parking out the back made for easy access in a stunning location. This cafe is definitely on my list for meeting up with friends and family.

The cafe is lovely, staff are really helpful (although they were struggling with a new till system) area is perfect after a walk and as people say, it is dog friendly and has a cosy atmosphere. Small suggestions (take as you will): * Front door needs to be fixed (no one could close it easily and it let cold air in constantly * Have a barcode ordering system at the tables as well as till service. I know some people don't like barcodes but for those of us that do it would save the massive queue which happens around the cafe (getting in the way of people and staff ferrying coffees) * Pop menus on tables or change the sign as it was super confusing (font and text all over the place, you could only see it when directly in front of the till which then made the queue longer) Short of that, lovely place to visit, food and drink is great just expect a bit of a wait plus "cosy" seating :)

Went to Roath Park venue and had the new eggs Benedict with Rogue Welshcakes sundried tomato flavour. It was amazing! Poached eggs done to perfection and the Welsh cakes are the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked asparagus and tasty sausage as sides. Can’t recommend this enough!

Cute little coffee shop close to Roath Park. Good cappuccino as well. The atmosphere is super cozy with multiple couches to sit on. The shop is also dog friendly which is great for any pet owners. Good place for a quick coffee after a walk in the park

Great service and dog freindly.

Today I was charged £4.50 for a single sausage in a bread roll. I ordered two so I paid £9 for two sausages and two bread rolls. I’m so disappointed. You usually get at least two sausages, sometimes more. How can you charge £4.50 for this … :(

I would rehang the front door. Cold draft every time door is opened, and door is difficult to close properly. Apart from that nice place to spend an hour, and coffee very nice.

Lovely festive evening at the Gathering Ground on 7th December. Craft sale and live music - can't wait till the next one!

Wonderfully friendly and caring staff, loved the quirky decor and really enjoyed the low alcohol craft beer. Food looked amazing. Fab atmosphere. I enjoyed taking my jewellery to their first pop up gift fair and the String Quartet added to the festive feel of the evening. Will definitely visit again 😀

Amazing atmosphere and brilliant evening

Great food, lovely decor and atmosphere. But somebody fix that bloody door that keeps blowing open and that people can’t shut properly. Creates an awful draft (especially with our 4 month baby). Also never know a Cafe to NOT serve pastries? Only cakes? Breakfast coffee and croissant would be an essential menu item surly?

Staff was smiling and helpful, great flatbread options for lunch, coffee and carrot cake 5 stars as well.

Good place and location, coffee is rather good too. Prices are higher than any coffee places around the area.

This a a gem of a coffee house and authentic, and the coffee is STRONG .... my fav in Whitchurch, it is good to support the independents rather than chains :-)

Food was nice enough although toast burnt, staff friendly, but cleaning was dreadful, tables "sticky" toilets certainly in need of a really good scrubbing. It really is unacceptable for toilets to be anything other than spotless and as such should be a priority.

Great drinks, atmosphere and all the staff were lovely! Special mention to Abi who seemed to manage to put a smile on every customers face :)

A lovely place to stop and have some food mid-walk, my new favourite cafe. Breakfast was incredible, everything cooked to perfection, the family all loved it, and the three dogs enjoyed their doggy ice-cream too! Thank you.

Coffee great, sercive a little slow as they only ever seem to have one staff member. Only draw back is the big steps in and out, almost impossible with a pram and completely impossible when I'm on my crutches

*AVOID IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES* Just been for lunch we informed the lady that I can’t have dairy, she told me in a rude way that there’s no butter in the sandwich and I just continued to inform her I’m allergic to dairy. I finished ordering and sat down then our food came out and I began to eat it and didn’t feel right. I went up to speak to the chef because I didn’t want to ask the lady again as she belittled me when I ordered. I found out that she didn’t inform the kitchen and the chef had in fact to butter in my sandwich and hadn’t been informed by her. She then had a go at the chef in front of me saying that when she’s in the kitchen she doesn’t put butter in the sandwich’s. After all this she then told me it’s ok it’s only on one slice I had to inform her it doesn’t matter how much is in it I feel really unwell. I then had to get sick in their toilets, which weren’t clean either. Completely awful experience with a rude customer service. They took absolutely no responsibility for the situation and I’m now left feeling really unwell with my whole weekend ruined!

All good staff very friendly and efficient

Unfortunately a let down. Drinks not bad but be cautious with the food - didn't seem very fresh, the salmon appeared to be brown in places and spoiled/gone off and none of our party were about to finish our plates. Is a shame but won't be returning.

Coffees are perfect and staffs are amazing. I live the place as it has a good space and location. The breakfast and brunch are okay but nothing special.

We had been enjoying going for coffees, breakfast and lunch - various teething problems this week. Does not excuse how rude the owner is, obviously does not cope with stress in the service industry.

Was a bit disappointed on my visit here today. We ordered drinks and lunch with two side orders of chips. My tea was not particularly nice, a bit watery, perhaps too much water for 1 teabag. Three of us had club sandwiches and there was confusion over what was delivered. We were not given the choice between white and brown bread and my daughter does not like brown bread, which is what we were given. I will add we did not ask, so our mistake ? The toast on the sandwich was very well done to the point of being burnt. When we received our order our chips were missing which we queried immediately but these did not arrive until we had all finished, so hardly a side dish. I did tell the staff that I was not happy about this and was told that they had been busy so sorry for the delay, I did point out that they had been ordered together. We were offered more drinks which my husband was ordering but nothing was done to stop him paying for them. Just a bit disappointing all round.

Service was slow and they forgot our chips, which eventually arrived 10 minutes after we finished our meals (having reminded them twice that we were waiting for chips). Food was ok,.

Not impressed. The waitress who looked at me as if I was a piece of **** when I ordered couldn’t be bothered to work out our refund when the food we ordered turned out to be unavailable. We ordered a sandwich on brown bread. It turned up on white and to be honest the side garnish was ripe for retirement. No apology was issued. I’d come here for a laugh but only if you’ve got deep pockets as it’s a rip off. I hope the owner reads this and I’d welcome a reply. Maybe the waitress could apologise. Not their finest hour.

This review is about your coffee shop at park place whitchurch. We called here today and was served half a cup of americano with hot milk not cold as asked for. Tables were cleared hapazardly regarding the covid. Coffee was also cold. shant be going to any of these shops again.

The staff were friendly but although the menu said vegan options available, they were not happy to deviate from the set menu, (apart from a vegan sausage sandwich which they said they would make but only after asking multiple times), which didn't have any vegan options. my vegetarian friend could not even get scrambled egg on toast as the menu said it came with sausage and bacon. I had a lovely time because of the company I had, but just disappointed that they were not very accommodating to dietary requirements.

Loved coming here early morning before continuing my walk around the lake. Nice staff, and a good coffee.. what else could you expect of a coffee shop. If you are around locally I do suggest giving it a shout.

Not even worth a one star rating food was awful, and over priced, when complained wasn't even offered a refund. Stay away especially if you have fussy children, but in all fairness, I'm not a fussy eater but it's disgusting.

Nice place for coffee with friendly staff. The main draw for me is that it's very dog friendly and situated between Roath Park Lake and the Pleasure Gardens making it an ideal stop off for a cuppa with the woof!

Lovely cosy friendly little cafe/restaurant with a relaxed rustic upcycled style. Great for our family and our labradoodle as dog friendly. Nice coffee and cakes too, but a bit expensive, so haven't had a meal there. Good little pit stop after a walk around Roath Lake.

This has been renamed to the Corner House now. Service is great, very friendly and personal. Coffee is excellent and I've only had a little tapas but that was good too. It's dog friendly so there are always pooches to cwtch and the decor is ace. That's probably my favourite part!

Expensive menu, needs cheaper Snacks

Poor service, not dog friendly at all, food tasted like it was reheated from the day before, way too expensive for the poor quality of food!!, gave myself, my mum and niece a dodgy belly!!, wouldnt recommend to any of my family or friends!, my mother will be making a formal complaint tomorrow, it's only got 3 star rating for the hygiene, stay away..... I will never go there again!
