One the one the best food places you can find in Cardiff been here several times and every time it’s better than the last

First time going there very disappointed. The Shawarma tasted very bad. The staff was unfocused and the restaurant was very poor quality overall

Would not come back here anytime soon, the food was awful really poor low quality and what baffled me was the staff. When I informed her the lamb was burnt she casually accepted the charcoal has been having issues but she didn't hesitate to say the food should not have been served like this or we will not charge you for the burnt dishes as a good will gesture. Instead she offered a discount of .69p which I refused. I had a friend come from out of town and i am disappointed i took him to such an awful place

The Lamb Sveyha and mixed cheese pastries are to die for. Shawarma both lamb and chicken are delicious. Only problem is needs cash. We usually order and go across the road to the Premier and take out cash. We often order a pot of mint tea to drink while we wait for our order. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are really great. Regularly have to stop on the way back to Swansea whenever we go to Cardiff

The toilets were very un clean and the food was awesome it took 20 minutes to make are food there was 3 children and 2 adults over all a 4 stars

Really disappointed with the payment options. They don’t accept card payments only local bank transfer or cash. As a tourist with an international card, I couldn’t pay and had to walk all the way to Tesco just to find an ATM and get cash. Not convenient at all and definitely not tourist-friendly.

Our friend had suggested Manaqesh a couple of times, and it’s been on my list for a while. I’m so glad I finally tried it! They serve authentic Syrian street food, and let me tell you, their half and half is to die for! It’s delicious, super filling, and they’re incredibly generous with extra bread, which I absolutely loved. The flavors are rich, and you can really taste the care that goes into every dish. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a satisfying meal.

Probably the best Syrian food in Wales (from the ones I tried so far). Big portions, good variation not just the usual grilled meat. Never disappointed

Food and portion sizes are amazing ! To top my experience off, the staff are lovely. £10 for a sharwama and rice which can be shared between 2 is just a must go to place. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I been this place twice first wasn't good and second was terrible too . I asked the Waitress to change us the table but her colleague blame us to change the table because it's not allowed that's so funny they not very nice with the customers . It looks like they give food for free . And there is no signal or internet connection at all Definitely do not recommend this place

Tried this place for breakfast, the zatar manaqesh was SO dry and slightly burned, like it was from the day before. Ordered a Frappuccino and received an iced coffee, turns out they meant to write iced cappuccino on the menu but it wasn’t clarified to me when I ordered… the place is nice and looks good but the breakfast was really not good

I have visited many restaurants, but I have never experienced one like this. Honestly, the shawarma was incredibly delicious—its taste is beyond description. I will definitely visit this place many more times in the future.

This is the best place to hangout and eat, it is so ridiculously authentic as recommended by my Arabic friends. We keep coming back again and again. Today we booked a table for 24 people. They were super accommodating. Thank you always Manaqesh!!

I had a lovely breakfast, my Omelette was cooked to perfection and my cheese and spinach meal was delicious. As for the service, the young man who served me was lovely, helpful and informative. He guided me through the menu and also helped me with my bank transfer as cards are not accepted.

The dough is excellent, but the zaater and cheese ingredients need to be supplemented with more healthy ingredients.

After a long day, we decided to have dinner at Manaqesh, but it turned out to be a terrible experience. First, our food was served without any plates. When we requested some, we were given a broken plate. It got worse from there—my drink order never arrived. Additionally, I noticed that the bread included with my meal was missing. When I inquired about it, I was told they only provide the bread if the customer specifically asks for it, as some customers supposedly don't want it. However, the bread is advertised as part of the meal!

I've been to Manaqesh quite a few times now, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently good, especially the grill items and the rice. Their chai is also very enjoyable, making it for perfect with the meal. The staff are pleasant and genuinely care about their customers, which adds to the positive dining experience. Overall, it is an excellent place for Middle Eastern cuisine. Highly recommend!

To be honest, It was spectacular and memorable journey with a humble and kind staff. I've never ever seen these kinds of people in my entire life so carrying, loving peoples. Staff were quite clueless about the menu, lots of seating spaces, food is nice especially their falafels, prices are absolutely extortionate a small pot of hummus which is about 1 and a half spoons costs £5.

I simply choose to eat here while I was in Cardiff the owner of Al shaam sweets own this place too and after trusting him with desserts the night before I needed not yo worry to where to fill up my belly anymore. It was easy decision and the best one. Love the food it was cooked to perfection.

13 of us ate for less than £14 each and I can tell you none of us could fit any more food in. Absolutely stuffed!! The food was delicious, the service was A1, the restaurant is clean the staff are just too friendly. Genuinely an awesome place to eat. Highly recommend!!

This place provided horror service to my friend, he ordered his food but it didn’t come, we waited and when I asked coz he’s too shy the lady got confused and said she didn’t write it down like it was my fault. My friend was vexed, I had to hear about it for 45 minutes, wouldn’t have wrote this if the guy didn’t have a rant.

Went to manaqesh with my friends was served after 15 mins of waiting whilst it wasn’t busy, we then ordered food which took 30/45 mins to come, my food didn’t arrive so waited another 10mins until my friend asked where my food was, the waitress then gave him a dirty look walked off and spoke to the manager who then told me my order wasn’t ordered and the waitress looked at me as if it was my fault with an attitude whilst the manager told me my order didn’t go through, I then proceeded to share my friends food which didn’t taste great didn’t receive any apology or food, then had to go across the street to pay the bill then show the receipt which I gave to the waitress who continued to show attitude. Diet Coke £2.50 and orange juice £5 not shown on menu. Would never have left this review if I had gotten an apology from the older waitress lady.

Food was completely blend and rubbish. Rice was boiled and coloured on top. Charged me £35 but I don’t think food is worth more than £25. Waitress left the platter on the table didn’t even provide the plate. Definitely do not recommend this place

The best is back again with more varieties of Syrian foods. In nutshells, authentic, delicious, high quality, big portions food. I can confidently say the best shawarma in Cardiff and there are other Syrian dishes exclusively served in this restaurant. There are outdoor and indoor seating. Many new sections including juice bar, fatayer section, shawarma section, sweet section and bbq section. I visited this place 3 times so far in 2 weeks and I am still exploring the menu. Still soft opening and the costumer service is improving every time I visit this restaurant. Keep in mind it is cash only and no delivery yet as they are waiting for the card machines.

I have ordered: chicken shawarma, almost the best in Cardiff a bit salty and oily but it’s really good 9/10. Falafel: nice taste 9/10 Vine leaves: need improvement 6.5/10 I recommend it and all the best for them

One of the best Shawarma I have had in Cardiff. However, customer service needs improvement and staff requires better communication skills. The place is wonderfully decorated but should start accepting card payment besides cash and bank transfer and mistakes should be accepted as everyone makes them rather than providing invalid justifications; that is the core of providing exceptional customer service.
