Corfu By Night in Cardiff

Had a lovely meal for NYE. The feta parcels are amazing and I definitely recommend them. For mains, I recommend the chicken souvlaki - it was cooked for perfection and you get a load of chicken, chips, tzatziki and Greek bread. Unfortunately we left before the entertainment but I hear it was brilliant. The staff were great and the food came out in good time. For a cocktail bar I'd like to see a few more cocktails but that's not the end of the world. Good for the food and enjoy!

A great little restaurant with our waitress superb, friendly and so helpful. The food was good and the portions on the large side, including the kids portions. The house wines are not bad either

Ordered takeaway and was a little underwhelmed. The baked feta was delicious, but the rest was fairly average. That said it may be a different experience eating in.

Just went for a quick bite. While it wasn't busy at that particular date/time the atmosphere was amazing and I really enjoyed the food and beer. Would definitely recommend.

Very good food, could do with some of the more expensive items being a little cheaper. Service very good. The service charge is not included and they don’t ask for any so offered it of my own accord. Spacious.

I loved this place. Amazing atmosphere with the duet on stage, from my understanding the duet seem to start at 8 clock in the evening. Service was fast and friendly. Food was stunning. The best part of the meal was the ribs tender fell straight off the bone. Recommend to anyone to go and try this place.

Food was okay, service was okay but it was quite busy and loud so that's understandable The issue was, we had a meat platter and some bread and dips, and it came out to £76 which is wildly expensive. This feels like a £20pp restaurant not a £38pp restaurant. Even with the live music that is still extortionate. The food itself was fine but nothing to write home about

Worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a while. Drinks took ages to come as we had ordered mojitos as part of the supposed happy hour from 4-8, for which there was a sign outside. However we were told by our server that they had ran out of limes in a near empty restaurant and had to go to the Sainsbury’s next door to buy more. When the mojitos came down they were terrible, we had to ask for sugar to mix into them lol. My friends ordered a jug of sangria but when it came to the table it was a single glass of what looked like fruit juice. They took that back and brought down a jug then but was actually just fruit juice. We had ordered rice stuffed vine leaves and some sort of prawns from the starters to come down with the mains which they did. They the stuffed vine leaves tasted like they were from a tin and the prawns and the sauce they came in were probably the most disgusting things we had ever ate. The main itself was fine but nothing great, I’ve had better takeaways from mamas kebabs in Cathays to be honest. When it came to payment the mojitos and espresso martini we ordered were not 2 4 1 as per the sign outside and we were told the sign was old and were shown a complete separate menu for 2 for £10 cocktails which was not on the table when we ordered the drinks. The ‘sangria’ was also on the bill as virgin sangria which we all laughed at as this was never what we ordered but is definitely what as given but didn’t mention as my friend had just asked for sangria, we had just thought it was maybe just diluted down with so much juice. Also it was basically a Wetherspoons virgin sex on the beach, absolutely not sangria hahaha. We asked for these things to all be rectified and the ‘sangria’ to be deducted from the bill however we were met with an angry owner/manager (unsure as he did not state who he was) and did not take the 2 4 1 cocktails off. We were so shocked by the whole thing we just got the amended bill without the ‘sangria’ on it and left. Attitude was wrong and defensive. Wait staff were very nice though. Expensive for what we had just ate. Paid less in a nice London restaurant yesterday. Shambolic place and will definitely not be going back.

After some fantastic reviews, my partner and I decided to visit. However, the food was average at best. The starters of aubergine and calamari were ok, but totally forgettable. The meat feast was disappointing, especially the ribs which were nearly cold and tasteless. The bread was also cold, hard, and grease laden. For the quality, the food was vastly overpriced. Was the restaurant authentically Mediterranean? No. Would I want to return? No.

Booked on a whim for Valentine's Day after a recommendation on a local food blog, and I'm beyond glad I did! Service was excellent - we were told there may be a wait for food due to how busy the restaurant was, but the atmosphere was so good, it didn't even feel long at all. And the food was more than worth it. I went for the salt cod starter after the waitress recommended it and it was unbelievable! And as for the Pastitsada, words can't do it justice. Easily the best dinner experience I've had.

We had a wonderful lunchtime meal for my daughters birthday on Sunday 22nd January 2023. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Extremely obliging too. The food was amazing! A huge Farmers platter which actually .a veggie could have eaten. So much food and beautifully cooked. On a Sunday they spit roast lamb which is served with chips and dips. The portion of lamb was literally overflowing my husbands plate! It tasted so good! Excellent Greek salads and on the platter, bread,dips, halloumi and Fetta cooked in different ways. Also vine leaves stuffed with rice. I can thoroughly recommend the food and the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. We will be back! A real jewel in the crown of Greek restaurants in Cardiff.

One of the best restaurants in Cardiff, me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed their tasty menu and the more peaceful atmosphere compared to that in central Cardiff. I can't recommend Corfu by Night anymore than what I have done. We will be repeat customers and be taking our friends with us.

Waited over 2 hours for starters to arrive, then only a few main courses for our party turned up. Terrible night - Christmas work do ruined

A real let down. Took over an hour to get our starter alone (and only after we complained). Some of the food is nice (eg the Kebab Philadelphia) but a lot of it is nothing special (eg the watery taramasalata). Considering the price I would avoid and go to a cheaper and more reliable restaurant like the Greek Village in Birchgrove.

I have no idea why people are giving good review for this place. I booked dinner for my family 4 of us, we all agreed that the food quality is very bad. Chicken is dry and tasteless My wife ordered fish of the day £21 it is not worth it. Most horrible black spices over the fish pieces. I ordered lamb chops, very dry no taste. Chips are very oily. The only good thing is the atmosphere and decoration so possibly it is okay for a drink but eating is is a waste of money and time. Also, I have never seen a resultant brings the starter after or with the main meal. I will never go there again, shame as we did like the atmosphere and decoration.

Excellent food. Loved the Meze. The octopus was so incredibly tender. Saganaki lovely. The dips and breads highly recommended. Staff also wonderful. Loved it !

The one thing you need to know about this place, this is where a lot of the Greek community come for their celebrations. Last night there was a big birthday party for a one year old, music, dancing by the guests and a live duo playing. This was one of a number of families who were eating there and the result? An atmosphere like no other. If you don't want good honest Greek food, noise, kids running around and a lively climate on a Saturday this may not be for you. Try a weekday though, it's great food. But for us, we will definitely be back.

Amazing food great service and atmosphere

We came here for dinner as a party of 10 which I realise is a big table but still, we waited for at least an hour for three starters/sharers to start with. The food was nice and they had vegan/veggie/gluten free options which is one of the reasons why we chose the place. The waitresses were very kind and we got a bottle of champagne as a compensation. However, the wait was way too long for a restaurant that considers itself elegant or somewhat serious.

Visited the place yesterday. Arrived there around 20:10 and we got our food at 21:50. We specifically asked the waitress to bring the starters quickly as we were quite hungry. The lady said 10 minutes. We had been waiting and waiting. After half an hour the waitress noticed that we were sitting there still without the starters so she brought a terrible champagne that no one asked for, to make up for the missing food. It took them an hour to serve the starters. Finally the food; I ordered a large salad. It was not that 'large' but thankfully it was rather tiny. And I said thankfully because I am writing this review sitting on my bathroom's floor, leaning over the toilet..the salad and everything was bathing in a considerable size of oil. So much in fact that I could not digest half of it and recognised most of the bites in my vomit. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place. Expensive, extremely slow, tasteless and disgusting.

Fantastic night out! Great food, Cocktail happy hour with live music in the background. Staff encouraged guests to dance and get involved which added to a great evening.

As a Greek it is so hard to find a genuinely good Greek restaurant with quality Greek food! In this restaurant I had the pleasure to eat traditional Greek food with excellent quality and filling quantity! Especially the deserts where amazing! Definitely one of the places to visit often!

The staff was really nice, our waitress did everything she could to accommodate our requests (we asked to change table because of the noise). The acoustics of the restaurant though were not the best, it was a bit noisy and although I did not mind so much sometimes we had to speak very aloud to be heard at the same table. The food was served a bit slow, however it was good, I liked the fish sharing platter and the Greek wine. Although some improvements are needed the atmosphere was nice and the food good, so I give 4 stars.

We were really excited to try out Corfu By Night as it is very local to us. Although the live music and decor were enjoyable we were let down by the 2 hour wait for our mains! The starters were okay but by the time our mains arrived we were tired and fed up. The food was pretty average. The calamari starter and pork main was good but we weren’t too impressed with the chicken souvlaki or the chips especially with how long we had to wait. The dip served with the mains was bitter. Corfu by night has got potential but needs some work on its service speed and quality. The food is not worth a 2 hour wait.

What a great find! We had a family birthday celebration at Corfu by Night this week. Fabulous food, great choice of wine, drinks, cocktails and the service was excellent! We will definitely be returning.

We ate here on Sunday 3rd April to celebrate our Son’s 25th birthday having received some good recommendations! The food was FIRST RATE as was the service from very attentive and courteous staff. Whilst it was fairly quiet as it was a Sunday evening, we all thoroughly enjoyed the very authentic Greek atmosphere and surroundings - I really can’t recommend this restaurant enough - we will be rebooking again very soon!

It was a bit over-priced, and the food gave me and my husband both an upset stomach. Might have just been our stomachs being sensitive, but overall not my favorite place in Cardiff.
