Amazing!!!! The food, the staff, the atmosphere Amazing. Sylvie& her Papa offered authentic Greek cuisine and culture experience highly recommended the staff were 5 star highly recommended.

Favourite of ours always top class food and service

First visit here after being recommended by a friend and wow didn't disappoint. I would definitely recommend booking a table as it was full and a wait for walk ins. It's not a massive place but very quaint and Greek. We went specifically to try the yiasou platter for 2 which for £30 was amazing, loads of hot pitas and crispy fries topped with chicken and pork kebab meat and 4 skewers on top chicken, beef pork and some kind of Sausage. You get to pick 2 sauces and the feta sauce was stunning and we wish we had ordered 2. All staff were busy but super friendly and polite. Wine was nice and a steal and £5 for a small glass. Overall would definitely recommend and will be back, great food, great service another one to add to our favourites 😊

The food was delicious, and the drinks were cold, authentic decor overall a lovely place.

Put in a bog order of 8 meals (takeaway) which yamas handled well, no missing food and everything was labelled. The food quality and portions were excellent, standard value for money in the city, better value than going to a burger place these days. Will definitely use them again, everyone else was happy with their food too, lots of compliments to yamas. Can't recommend enough

They have just re-opened and is already better than any of the restaurants in the area food and service is amazing and it is a very beautiful place very picturesque highly recommended

Good food and service but me and my work colleague was the only two in the place so was a very dead atmosphere but apart from that was decent.

No delays in getting the food which were very large portions.

Woweee!! Some of the best Greek food we have had! Service with lots of smiles- every single member of staff was so hospitable and attentive. We’re actually sad that we don’t live in Wales & can’t just pop here on a regular basis because it is excellent. The platters were amazing & such good value for money… so big that we couldn’t finish it despite our best efforts!! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Cardiff. Thanks guys!

Ordered food to the tune of nearly £100 this evening - not arrived and exceptionally rude when questioned about where it is was told ‘take it up with Deliveroo’ 6 people waiting to eat.

We ordered and it never arrived we phoned and the women was so rude not her problem!!!

Came here tonight with my partner, mother in law and daughter for my birthday, staff were amazing food amazing and just made to feel so welcome, they even sang happy birthday with a slice of cake!! Even tho everything was great big shout out to the 2 girls waitressing took time to talk and laugh... thank you.

Concept: After attending the Sunday worship at Urban Crofters church, i and my friend Matt were both hungry. After scanning various menus from pubs and Italian restaurants, we both agreed to enjoy a Greek lunch. Order: A pastitsio. Price: £15.00. Quality of food: Top (7*). Behaviour of staff: Helpful/Polite (6). Service: Relatively slow (3). Well, let's be honest. For me, it was entirely ok. But if I would like a restaurant to have a quick lunch break (applicable to people working from home), I wouldn't come here. Atmosphere: Relaxing with traditional Greek music (7*).

We booked Yamas for our company afternoon garden party and they were absolutely excellent. Everything was seamless - food was outstanding and plenty available for everyone. They had a nice set up that looked Instagram worthy too and just lovely warm service that put everyone at ease. Would definitely book them again or recommend to family and friends for an event!

It was the biggest rip-off I've ever had. Would rather saw off my fingers than return there.

Ate here yesterday 4 adults two children. Tsatsiki was just yoghurt no cucumber or garlic. Pork souvlaki was fatty and very salty, chicken was the same. My daughter in laws chicken dish was appalling. I have never had anything less Greek. Over priced would not reccomend. Our visit was for a special occasion which was spoilt.

Really enjoyed this take away. Very authentic Greek food. Lots to enjoy in the special platter. Yummy yamas!!

Came in late with a very large group. We had called ahead and arranged it and the staff were very accommodating. The food was fantastic and staff were very friendly when serving us. A definite recommendation!

First visit to Yamas, last night and it won't be long before we go back. We had the mixed meat platter for 4 and it was superb. Plenty of choice chicken, beef and pork plus loads of bread, fries and dips. I'm still full this morning!

This is probably one of my favourite restaurants in the city. I've eaten in a few times - including with kids - and its been fantastic. The food always looks and tastes great. Its equally as good as a takeaway and has become my go-to place. The portion sizes are very generous and the quality is high.

Food is good but does take ages to come out. I think we waited nearly an hour for 2person sharing platter. When we chased them, they just said they were plating it right now but food still didn’t arrive until 15min after that. Food arrived luke warm not hot. Not sure if it was a one time thing/mistake but everyone who came before us had food before us.

Incredible food, generous portions and very reasonably priced. Super fresh ingredients and friendly staff! Quick service and so good we had to come again in two weeks :) recommend getting the yamas sauce.

Ordered from Yamas on Deliveroo, and developed food poisoning shortly afterwards. Some of our items were also missing and incorrect.

We love this place and feel very lucky to have it on our doorstep. The food is amazing especially the gyros and grills, also recommend the share platter if there's a group of you. Great service too.

Nice place for greek food with nice attentive staff. Not a lot of vegetarian options but food is tasty and well cooked.

Just like the other person who left a review, I also turned up earlier in the week to find the place closed. I understand this might have been communicated on social media, however not everyone uses that. Surely it should be common practice to update your website? Which is still showing the incorrect opening hours!!

The food is great! It isn't very crowded and has a casual atmosphere. The service was slow and it looked like they were understaffed. The food made up for it.

Went to the restaurant last night and despite the website/ google business hours saying it was open - it was in fact closed. Waste of a journey!

Absolutely incredible platters - the portion for two is extremely generous and very well cooked - the meat is top quality and the flavours are great - much better than you might expect for a huge meal like this. It would be even better if there was a veggie option, but otherwise it's fantastic.

Lovely food, good value for money, pleasant decor

I am sorry to say I had the take away chicken souvlaki and I was extremely disappointed. The chicken lacked flavour - and I spent most of the evening having a dodgy belly. Telly Savalas, Demis Roussos and Nana Mouskouri will be turning in their graves at the poor quality of this chicken souvlaki. Aντίο φίλε μου - δεν θα επιστρέψω--- In reply to the owners reply. As a paying customer I will be the judge whether your chicken souvlaki is the best and i can quite assure you it is not. My judgement is not sabotaging your hard working staff but its an honest review. Some of your comments in response to my review are quite poor e.g. "We have sold 1000s and know one has had a bad belly" How could you possibly know this - you are telling me that you have spoken to every one of the 1000s of people to double check?? Really. I don't think so. Your comment of "that you clearly have no idea" I am of greek origin and I have more of an idea than you. This reference from you is clearly unprofessional.

A little piece of Greece in Cardiff. Beautiful food, great service, but so busy busy. You must book, they were so popular they had to turn people away. The food platter Yamas was more than enough for 4 people with a good starter selection. Service was quick and friendly. We will return.

Good and clean restaurant. Platter for 2, yamisau was tasty and good for 22£.. but looks like they have reduced the pita breads, and sauces are served in very tiny cups, pls make them bigger or serve sauces unlimited

Expected a great experience after seeing such positive reviews but was sorely disappointed. Booked online over an hour before going only to arrive and be told we hadn’t booked, even though I had a confirmation email a minute after being seated. We were accommodated…grudgingly and our order taken. Starters arrived and they were nice enough. Our platter arrived and it looked amazing however when we got stuck in we soon realised it wasn’t, processed chicken souvlaki which tasted nothing like chicken. Called the waiter over who was very nice and tried to defuse the situation but when the manager came over this made the situation worse. Basically no customer service skills but plenty of arrogance in the way he spoke to us and told me we should be grateful he gave us a table and the food was everything we ordered. Needless to say after some discussion we agreed to disagree and we promptly left!!! I also take great exception to someone serving me food and drink when I have watched them openly pick their nose in view of everyone and not have the decency to wash their hands!!! 👎🏻👎🏻 Plenty of other Greek restaurants in the area, that have been tried, tested and highly recommended
