Gateacre fish bar in Liverpool

Disgusting soggy scallops never tasted soggy batter like it no gravy with the fish dinner fish wasn't cook propley an to top it of a piece of snot on the fish dinner I've binned the food threw up calling food safety tommorow worst food experience of my life

Worst chippy ever. It’s in a busy area but visited at 9.45pm on a Saturday and sausage, no fish, no pies and not even any chips available. - it’s a Friday night and in a busy area. Excuse was we close at 10pm - which in itself is ridiculous for the area it is in Made me wait 2 mins before informing me they didn’t have anything

Complete chaos on arrival, staff rude and unwelcoming, made to feel a nuisance, in addition to this was overcharged and food was on the pricy side. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately!

Heard mixed reviews on this shop and today thought i would give it a go and so happy that i did, served by two lovely ladies who couldnt be more helpful and friendly 1 took the order and by the time she had finished the other had already started it waited no longer than 5 minutes and was back out the shop and that was even with the chinese meal ordered ( chicken in chilli & garlic amazing btw) - will deffinitly recommend to others and cant wait to come back already as you dont get many shops with customer service that good My new favourite chippy

I have visited this place on 2 occasions and ordered the same thing twice and have been charged more than the price on the menu 1st time 20% more 2nd time 25% more If you visit here I advise you to have more money with you to pay the higher price than stated on the menu
