My grandparents recommended this place to us as they said the roast dinners were really good, so we visited at the weekend with them and our children. We ordered four roast dinners and two kids meals. The portion sizes were huge and the food was amazing! The meat was cooked to perfection and it came with huge homemade Yorkshire puddings. There was enough on our plates to take home and have a second meal the following day! It was great value for money and the food tasted amazing, the staff were friendly and we were extremely pleased with the whole experience, would definitely recommended!

Never again, the food was cold the staff was morbid and miserable and just could not be bothered. Not a smile in the place. Very expensive for what we go lt the sausage was over cooked back cremated and beas cold. I wouldnt feed that to a dog. Waste of time and money. Don't go there

Visited the cafe and the food was mediocre. Both my daughter and I had panini’s which were very dry. The most disappointing part was the attitude of the staff in the cafe. Everything was too much trouble. Think they need to remember without customers they wouldn’t have jobs. Won’t be returning for this reason !!

Cracking, competetively priced garden centre, with an unfortunately abysmal café. Went to order, and were told they stopped serving at 3pm - strange because it wasn't yet 3pm!! When this was hilighted, we were then told they had run out of most things anyway. All the staff seemed very miserable, and it felt like customers were an inconvenience to them. This isn't the first time feeling this way with the service either, as we have come away feeling the same the past few times we have gone. Not once had a bad slice of cake here though! We left the café, carried on around the well stocked and displayed garden centre, and went to The Plough in at Brackenfield for food instead.

Rude staff. Bad attitude when they made an error in serving 1 meal not 2. Ruined lunch. What I had to do to be served my meal, terrible taking my mum there who Id not seen for some time to have a ruined trip. A blonde ponytailed 55+ waitress was arrogant. I had to ask another lady for my meal whilst my mother had eaten hers on her own. Not nice. Ruined day. Last visit!! Bad service! Have staff with manners.

Was more miss than hit. Lasagne was ok but the garlic ciabatta was like a soggy sponge, it really needed toasting. Both burgers didn’t have burger bun tops, they all had bun bottoms (guessing the tops got burnt) and the beef burger tasted so fatty like it had been deep fried. Wasted best part of £40 tbh. Will return for cake and coffee but no other food.

Walked a loop from Highoredish to Riber and back. Very glad to see this lovely garden centre cafe. An excellent pot of tea, really good gammon with all the trimmings, and a delicious slice of cake to finish. Definitely hit the spot. Lovely outdoor seating area and dog friendly.

Clean, and tidy, including the floors! The staff always have time to say hello, ask how you are even though they're always busy! A decent range of quick snacks, drinks and meals at fair prices! I'll admit I usually drop in for a cuppa when I'm around, and notice many other familiar faces doing the same! Whether just having a quick cuppa or more, it's always worth popping in for 10 relaxing minutes.

Went to the McDonald’s tonight got a snobby and ignorant woman (chicki) I think her name was. It was like she didn’t wanna be there! But the blonde manager made it all better! I thanked her for her enthusiasm! I told her “ atleast some body is cheerful and greets with a smile” that’s a perfect role model of a manager! Well done lady! (Didn’t get her name) 1/05/25 9pm
