Garden Social in Cheshire West and Chester

Our most favourite coffee shop in Chester. Excellent vides, happy staff, right music choices, great coffee, awesome food, perfect efficient service. If six stars was possible.

I've been a regular at Garden Social since it opened three years ago. From day one it has been a friendly, community space serving the best coffee in Chester, delicious brunch/lunch and cake options. The owners and the whole team are just awesome, and they play great tunes. Garden Social is kid friendly, dog friendly, solo folk friendly, LGBT+ friendly, everyone friendly, and also supports local artists, makers, musicians and comedians, in their small but impactful and well curated programme of home grown events. Thanks GS, you're the heart of the Garden Quarter Chester ♥️.

I moved into the area in August and have visited GS a number of times . It’s calm, cool vibe I love and the food and coffee is a little gem . Friendly staff and a hidden away feeling which means you can always get a seat . Love it .

What a gem! Fab coffee and beautiful sourdough toasties. Cake selection looked wonderful also. Lovely people and relaxed vibe - if it was near where I lived I would be there every day.

Stayed in an air bnb on this road but did not visit here until the last day. We were gutted !! This gem so close and we didn’t know !! Friendly (and dog friendly) clean, good range of food. We brought cakes away with us too. If we returned to Chester this would be a definite revisit. Staff lovely, place clean and comfortable.

First visit to this lovely cafe . All the staff were so friendly. Laid back but impeccable service. Big coffee and tea menu. My coffee was v tasty. My wife had avo on toast. Nicely presented and apparently was 'absolutely delicious" perfectly seasoned and the bread was scrummy. V close to center of Chester. Will defo have a return visit

£2.90 is too much for an americano in a latte cup. An americano is a long drink. £3.20 is way too much for a croissant. 4 staff is too many. Coffee and pastries are good, but the prices and sizing…

Small independent Coffee House. Occasional events (Craft Market & Comedy Nights) Excellent service and menu. Great atmosphere. Dog friendly. Exceptional playlist. Very lovely people.

The best speciality coffee in chester, hands down. Amazing selection of hot and cold drinks, fresh bread and handmade cakes - the staff are so friendly and will bend over backwards to get you anything you need. Don't miss out!

We dropped by for a coffee and breakfast. Really enjoyed it, relaxed atmosphere, staff were friendly and made a fuss of our dog. Nicest coffee I’ve had since visiting Chester.

Great sourdough sandwich and coffee. Friendly service and a nice place to sit. Reasonable cake selection, but a few too many with nuts for me.

I was looking forward to trying this new coffee shop! Lots of choice of hot drinks & cakes! Good to see local bakers being supported. Great interior & pleasant atmosphere. The only negative I can say is compared to the coffee shops in the city centre I found it a little bit expensive as the drinks were definitely top end prices & the takeaway cups quite small. However it may be different if sitting in. The cakes were that delicious they definitely made up for it. I will definitely be returning though!

Nice little cafe, passionate hosts, and very very good coffee. Dont need anything more from a cafe (though you can if you wanted to, their desserts are delightful)..

First time visiting here today for a take out coffee. The staff were lovely and the coffee was great! Will definitely be returning to try one of the delicious looking cakes!

What a great little place, off the beaten track but worth finding! Very friendly (Dog friendly as well) lovely atmosphere, great service and brilliant tasty coffee. And don't get me started on the cakes and cookies... a good range of locally produced items, the sandwiches...

Needed to stretch our legs so took a walk down. Nice coffee. Tasty treats on offer. One way system in place. Hand sanitizer. Friendly staff. Close to canal to go sit & enjoy your brew
