Had afternoon tea for mums 70th. It’s a lovely place, very tranquil, staff are very attentive and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a lovely time. The afternoon tea was perfect!! Thank you xx

The food was an exceptional standard and so was the service. We stayed two nights at the adjoining hotel, and had plans to eat out on both evenings. On the first night we were tempted by the restaurant menu, so decided to to eat "in house" instead of going out. We ended up being so impressed with the quality of our food on the first evening, that we ate there the second evening as well. Both meals were outstanding, with surprisingly decent portion sizes given the quality of food. The price was also surprisingly good. Over the two evenings, we had starters, salad, mains, and desserts. We couldn't fault any of it.

When you can not tell which cup is tea and which is coffee it tells you so much. The breakfast is really disappointing - they should do better !!!

This place is a fantastic gastronomic secret waiting to be discovered. Popped in, soaking wet, after doing the 5 mile Abberley Circuit. From the outside it just looks like your average village pub, but inside the first thing you notice is that it must have only been (tastefully) refurbished recently. Nice clean lines, using plenty of wood while still retaining traditional village pub features, such as its tables and chairs. A burning fire provided additional cheer. A snack was all we were after and, fortuitously, from the sandwich menu I chose The Beefy. The generous beef was to die for, cooked quite rare with a crispy exterior, sliced into chunks to fit, overlappingly, into toasted bread (probably sourdough). A fried egg on top, cooked to runniness, with a circular hole cut into the upper toasted slice to reveal the yolk. Accompanied by a delicate slaw and some fine skin-on fires. It was ecstasy. In addition, the service was charming. Alas I live 120 miles away so won't be going back even though I'd like dine there properly - several times.

The menu was poor, their had been no changes since we stayed last year. My husband ordered the risotto, he didn't expect to have to pull sticks of heards out of his meal.

Disgusting service. Menu options limited based on the fact they don’t have half of the ingredients…. ‘Waiting for deliveries’. The staff in this shop are rude. The management accept no responsibility for anything and make excuses. They don’t value their customers as they once did.
