Popped in here for lunch as had tried a couple of other places and weren’t too fussed at the menus and were after something to warm the cockles. We were not disappointed. Lovely cosy cafe with a lovely autumn veg soup and a perfect baked tattie. Portions were big and staff kind and courteous. Had a good chat and got some recommendations for local walks. And lovely coffee! I also left my phone charger because I’m a daftie and only realised when we got home to Glasgow and they have been kind enough to post it back! Great service. Recommend the window seat. Perfect place to watch the world go by. Thanks guys!

Food is simply superb. Steak cooked exactly as requested and the starters are equally as good. I can't comment on the desserts because I was too full up to try one!!

Tuvimos un delicioso almuerzo aquí. Los sándwiches y patatas horneadas eran preciosos y muy buena relación calidad-precio. La decoración era preciosa, muy acogedora. El personal era muy agradable y servicial. También noté que el personal estaba muy al tanto de las regulaciones de Covid. Limpiar las manijas de las puertas con frecuencia y asegurarse de que se siguieron todos los demás protocolos. Los pasteles y el café también estaban deliciosos ??????

Beautifully presented hotel and restaurant. This was our first visit to Cairn Lodge for a family dinner. We were unfortunately disappointed by the standard of food, particularly the ribeye steaks. Fillet steaks looked amazing, however the ribeyes appeared to be sourced from a different supplier, lacking flavour and being overcooked. It would have been appreciated if someone had inquired about our main course, as we would have shared our thoughts. I sensed that the staff may have been hesitant to engage with us after serving the steaks, likely due to their awareness of the quality issues.

Invertilt RoadA great evening. Beautifully prepared and served meal. The colours and positioning of the vegetable selection, the carefully cooked food, the wide choice of menu, the attentive service, the cosy ambience. What a lovely evening. I would recommend highly to anyone interested in giving it a try.

34 High StreetWhat can I say about this wonderful little gem. The food is excellent, and Fernanda is so friendly and welcoming. It's like going home except your mum is cooking a 5 star luxurious meal. Will be coming back again. Very good produce, no need for sides, and the seasoning was so good that on every table, the salt and pepper remained un touched. Brilliant.
