My husband and I had our wedding reception here 43 years ago and decided to take our grandchildren for a visit. Whow. What a lovely surprise. Lovely walks. Super walks and park for the kids. Then to finish it all off a great cafe. Super scones. Staff very helpful and friendly . They also have historical videos showing in cafe. Would highly recommend a visit.

The cafe has improved a lot in its offerings for people who can’t tolerate gluten. There is a range of baked potatoes and wrapped gf cakes and slices. It’s just a pity that food service stops at 2.30 although you can still get hot drinks and cakes after this time.

We arrived to meet up with family to find café closed at 2.30pm. Website indicated that it was open until 5pm. Very disappointed.

We live locally and visited recently. Fairly limited selection of cakes/biscuits. Reasonable prices and a decent cup of coffee. Doggy friendly area outside the lower level & dog-free upstairs & on the terrace. Worth a visit if you need a cuppa when visiting the lovely park & gardens.

A great place to have a coffee when the sun is shining. Sitting in the walled garden is a real treat

Popped in a few weeks ago for a drink and a snack .. cup of tea was nice and the sandwiches , averagely priced ..the only bad point and there was not much of a breeze was when the umbrella took off from the base and just missed my son`s head !!!!!!!.... had a walk around the grounds ( used to walk the dog here ) , a nice day :)

Amazing place to sit outside and enjoy a relaxing tea/coffee.........when it’s not raining! Well kept and friendly attentive staff. Dogs are made welcome too which helps.

Living in Kilsyth, the Colzium is within a half hour walk. This building has not been used for many years and was becoming increasingly more derelict. Behind it is the most beautiful walled garden looked after lovingly by our Parks Department. It was decided to turn the old building (which had previously been a small theatre and before that it was the laundry for the main house at Colzium) into a visitor centre and cafe. It was eventually opened earlier this year, much looked forward to by the local people. However, as it's main use is for a visitor centre, the cafe seems to be taking second place and the chairs and tables are mainly outside - not a good idea in central Scotland. However, at least now we have a cafe and toilets which are both long overdue as many people walk here either on their own or with their dogs.

This old chapel has recently been converted into a cafe and to some extent a visitor centre. It has all the facilities but has a lack of indoor seating and staff. The coffee was fine and a limited selection of food and soft drinks. Steep steps to the upper seating area and the lift wasn't working. Outdoor seating overlooks Colzium House and the upper outdoor seating is in the delightful walled garden. It is open throughout the winter it seems despite what the website says.

Visited here for the first time recently. Very impressed with surroundings and was particularly impressed that the upstairs area looked into the walled garden.

Visited Garden Cafe 26th August - on arriving about 3 pm we found only one young girl serving in cafe. Was informed that hot food wasn't available after 3pm but we managed to get baked potato with beans and sandwich. We took lift to upper level as my Mum has difficulty walking up stairs only to find quite a few tables still with dirty dishes etc. When food arrived it looked as if it had just been dumped on plates - no salad or crisps with sandwich. On finishing our food we went to use lift only to find out that it wasn't working due to electrical fault !! My mum had to walk down a steep hill to reach car - not very impressive. Surely more than one perrdson should be working in a cafe especially at weekends. Was not impressed at all and will not be returning to the Garden Cafe again.

Visited a few months ago when builders were busy making this place out of an old building beside walled garden. Several problems with design - we were there on a wet Tuesday and while it is nice to have outside seating it was obvious there was not enough indoor space. The serving area is small and cramped beside a table. Usual selection of baked potatoes/ toasties/ sandwich he's and soup. Were only in for cup of tea. Scones,Victoria sponge and lots of traybakes but all looked bought in.

Regularly walk the colzium and had been watching the progress of the reformation of the old clock tower, into the garden cafe. Owners have done a great job.

Very impressed with this new establishment at the Colzium Lennox Estate. Recently opened and available April - September. Serving Tea, Coffee, soft drinks, snacks and cakes. Lovely outdoor seated area downstairs. Lift to upper seated area which opens out into the Walled Garden which is beautifully manicured. Toilet facilities. Parking adjacent including dedicated parking for disabled badge holders. The Colzium Estate has much to enjoy both of historical interest and for children and adults alike.
