Fantastic chow mien and rice noodles! Veggies and meat are perfectly balanced! And a party was even booked for more noodles before our arrival! Totally worth it!

Have regular take aways from here and the food is great can't fault it. BUT the service we received in the restaurant lastnight was the worst we have ever experienced. We ate with coats on as it was so cold,felt like we were an inconvenience had to ask for food and drinks and waited 40mins to receive our starter and 40 mins for mains and we were the only table in the restaurant and then had to pay £160 for the experience.

Pin and Oi made me feel like an old friend , most authentic thai food I've had in england , not the dumbed down version that most thai restaurants sell . Would recommend to anyone who's missing the real taste of thai food.

The owner cooks and serves (at least from what we could see). So, is running around like mad. However, the food is all cooked fresh and is really tasty. Don’t miss it, expect a slow atmosphere just relax and enjoy.

Would give zero if possible. We have just come from this restaurant, what a shame, our first day in Newquay, the woman who served us was so rude and unkind. At first it was straightforward, we sat, ordered our food and it was tasty, she literally ignored us from there, to be fair at this point we still didn't think anything of it, my son asked me if we could get dessert, still ignoring us - seeing empty plates and just walking past us, my son got up to get her attention, I asked if we could look at some deserts and she literally snapped at us like we were irritating " no desserts I'm too busy to serve deserts, go down the road there is ice cream... " a man on the table next to us checked if he heard correctly he was so shocked, he even said "that's a bit rude innit" only then did she give a fake apology , saying she was just too busy - I hope she was embarrassed - to see that people could see how unnecessarily horrid and rude she is and questioned her on it - disgusting, would never recommend this place, just so awful for people to treat others this way.

What an outstanding meal we just had in this restaurant. We have traveled around Thailand many times and this little place ticked all the boxes for food u would find in Thailand. Staff were very friendly to. Definitely a hidden gem in Newquay!!! 10/10

Chicken mixed with prawns, for a prawn curry order. One item of order missing, had to re order. Flavourless pad thai, barely any sauce. Normally a good place to order from but utterly disappointing birthday meal.

Order from Ganesha this week, food was really nice and the customer service was outstanding would highly recommend.

we ordered 4 starters and 4 meals from here at the weekend for my sisters birthday and we were very disappointed, the starters were chicken satay, spring rolls, ribs and pork meatballs and they were awful, the ribs were mostly bone, the chicken satay tasted burnt and very dry and the smallest pot of peanut butter (satay sauce apparently) the pork balls were like rubber balls that were tasteless and the spring rolls very soggy and tasteless, the meals weren't much better either. the best part of my meal was the thai crackers which doesn't say a lot for them, nothing like the thai food in thailand. Never again shocking meal :(

I used to regularly order takeaway from here, as the food tasted so good and fresh. The last few times I've ordered food the standard has slipped. I wont be ordering food again as tonight my food for me was pretty much inedible. I always order tempura squid , this time unfortunately we had about 4 bits of squid and just balls of greasy batter the was inedible. I dont know what's happened, but definitely not the same food I used to get.

We had a takeaway from Ganesha tonight and it was good to see how busy they were. The food was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Still my no 1 Thai in newquay.

We ordered pad Thai and a green curry with spring rolls, she said 15 minutes so we waited outside....it took over 50 minutes. The veggie pad Thai was 95% noodles with no flavour and barely any veg, green curry was watery with about 6 green beans and sweet peas. The chicken in the green curry was tough and chewy, we didn’t eat any of it. Would not recommend at all

Regular customer who users Ganesha lots, just ordered a family meal on New Years Day and was given half portions!! Disgusted that a loyal customer base would be treated like this for profit! I’ll stick with the Thai van in future!

Excellent food. We phoned in our order prior to collecting, the girl who answered was polite enough if a bit vague on the phone; only say that as she could not confirm to us how much our order came to, but that’s no real biggie. We collected our food, one part of the order was wrong but they very quickly rustled up the right one. Got the food home and it was all still piping hot, and moreover tasted amazing. They have a small kitchen but it produces excellent food. Would definitely eat from here again.

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered as had friends visiting. We waited well over an hour for the food to arrive only to find that the rice for one of the dishes was not in the bag. We phoned and they came back with the rice, so we had to reheat the green veg curry. Then as our guest was eating his pad Thai he found a blue elastic band which then put us all slightly off our food only then to find a black hair as well! So most of the food went in the bin. Very disappointed as the girls in the restaurant are so lovely, so one star for them.

Be noted that the stir-fries came without rice; they’re just overpriced, in my opinion.Tempura vegetable were oily and tasted not fresh. The batter was too oily and thick. Pad Thai tasted not flavored and not authentic at all. All dishes we ordered were very disappointing.

After buying from them on and off once a week for the last year or so despite the late deliveries and mixing up of our orders due to the food being really good...I can safely say I am done with this restaurant. Tonight we have been sitting here for 3 HOURS! With countless calls to the restaurant that have been ignored, and still...no food. We have been patient and understanding every time we have ordered but its been pushed too far this time. It’s not acceptable and You have lost a loyal and frequent customer.

Amazing Thai food.great menu.all freshly cooked and great taste. Couldn't be more authentic and staff super friendly. Very cosy and only a few covers in restaurant but this makes it feel quite special and cosy for couples and locals

We went here with friends after watching a movie as it's right opposite the cinema. It was very busy, as they also do take-away, so there was a bit of a wait, but the food was excellent, so you don't at all. Really great evening, we will definitely be returning here.

This Thai food is excellent, tasty and freshly prepared, just as good as anything we have eaten in Thailand! It’s very reasonably priced too.

We got food delivered - took 90 minutes, which on a Friday night I can understand, but the food was not worth the wait. For tempura read battered and the massaman tasted like it was a school dinner. Sticky coconut rice was a block. Not a cheap takeaway either. Receptionist/delivery driver was great though. I won’t be ordering again

We went on holiday end of June to Crantock and went to Newquay found this restaurant and decided to have a takeaway from there. I had green Thai king prawn curry and my husband had green Thai chicken curry all I can say is it was excellent in fact went back the following night The food was fantastic and cheap. Can’t praise this place enough. Go and give it a try you won’t be disappointed

If your holidaying in Newquay and appreciate authentic tasty thai food ....eat here, honestly you will not be disappointed, the fish cakes and massaman etc we had are probably the best dishes we have eaten outside of Thailand. Great prices lovely service the only regret was that we only found this place on the last night.

As local's we get to hear about our friends experiences and this place has had a thumbs up from everyone we know who has been here. I think it is better than the Little Kahuna that was there before!!!

We've been to this Thai place 3 times in the last year and a bit.... (we go when we're on holiday). The first time was in summer of 2016 and it perfect, loved everything about it.

Take away is soooooo good and incredible value. Proper chicken pad thai for £6. Moo yang and Satay Chicken great as well.............

Lovely food but they've got to get better organised ! Every time I go it's way later than they say and this time they got a main dish wrong and missed a rice off so we were left a little hungry. Also strangely no chilli kick to any dish when most of them usually have a good kick. I think a review of operations maybe needed to get them back on track as it looks chaotic often !

Made the 26 mile return trip again to collect our meal for 7 people. It was very busy but, as we had ordered ahead, we did not have to wait long before our food was being bagged up, even though the eating in area was also full. It is always fascinating to watch the food being cooked. They produce such wonderful food in a relatively small area, but the cooking is well organised and the meals appear in a steady stream.

We ordered food for collection whilst staying in Newquay. We love our Thai food but unfortunately this takeaway was disappointing and not authentic. We ordered Panang and red curries which were not spicy at all. Will not be visiting again!

I know your options in Newquay for delivery food are limited, but still this is not Thai food, it is wierdly crappy generic 'Asian' food. It got our order wrong, but that happens, missed out the Pad Thai and gave us double fishcakes instead.

Unassuming from the outside, this little restaurant is a delight. Freshly cooked Thai food, some of the best I've had in Britain, a lovely ambience, clean and tastefully decorated, and delightful service from the three women who cook and serve.

Take away menu seemed inviting so ordered various dishes for 4 people and told would be one hour maximum wait! one hour and thirty minutes later rang and told was sorry on its way! Waited total of one hour forty five minutes to be delivered only to discover NO RICE for two curries!!!!!!!!!! In the end we had to keep food warm and collect the rice ourselves. No partial refund just a sorry we busy!! After waiting so long we had gone past feeling hungry and meal was nothing special - not worth the wait or money as nearly £40!!!!

We walked passed this restaurant believing at first that it was take-away only, on closer inspection we realised there was seating, albeit limited, at the back of the premises. We booked and went back to eat in. The food was amazing and very authentic and the staff and atmosphere was fantastic. We can definitely recommend the Pad Thai Noodles and the Pork in Pepper sauce. We enjoyed it so much that we returned within the week for a second evening and next time in Newquay will certainly be returning again! We were looked after by a beautiful waitress called On (Jantra) she was a credit to the restaurant.

We went whilst on holiday as I had a craving for a Thai meal. This one stood out from the rest and rightly so. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The food is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I had the Penang curry and it was to die for!! Definitely worth a visit.

It was a little bit by mistake I ended up with a Thai takeaway from here. We had rented a home in Newquay for the week and we happened to see a takeaway menu for here on the kitchen side so we ordered some food. The food was outstanding. The best Thai food I had tasted. Really nice and my wife thought the same as well. They had a good selection and we ordered a number of different dishes to try new and different stuff. The food came and was very hot still. The only one slight down side was how long we had to wait for the delivery. It was just over 1.5 hour from the phone call but 100% worth the wait.

Tried several Thai restaurants in the Uk and this place was the closest food to what i have eaten in Thailand.A small restaurant seating about 20 people and two staff working flat out cooking delicious food infront of you in the open kitchen. I ordered my favourite chicken and cashew nuts with steamed jasmin rice and it was superb (as good as the many ones that i have had in Thailand) prices were reasonable, staff were friendly..... just wished i had a place like this in Stoke, instead of the big "posh" Thai restaurants which don't serve the real deal !

Stayed in Cornwall with some friends and they suggested getting takeout from here and eating on the beach. There was a really good choice on the menu. I ordered Prawn pad Thai and it was one of the best I've ever had. Nice big juicy prawns. Would recommend.

Passed this place many times and thought that smells really good so went and tried the takeaway. Wasn't disappointed. Food was very good and the prices were also very good. Nice to see it busy so obviously popular. Will definitely go back.

Four of us went here last night, it's a small restaurant with friendly helpful staff- lovely to be able to see our food being cooked. Food was authentic, really tasty and good sized portions. A bit haphazard at times but it was all part of a really good experience , will definitely recommend and be back ourselves

Ordered a takeaway to be delivered on the Thursday between Christmas and New Year. Was told upon ordering that it would be delivered in 40 minutes, which was perfect. I rang back after 70 minutes as the order still hadn't arrived, and was told "sorry darling, we're busy, I will try to get it to you in the next 30 minutes " Now we're talking 1 hour 40 minutes as opposed to the original 40 minutes. I rang back after a further 20 minutes to enquire if they were able to deliver and was told that they're still busy and don't know when they could deliver to us. At this point I cancelled the order.So, don't tell your customers something you have no intention on fulfilling. We were a family of four who were disappointed and hungry and were appalled at the lack of customer service. If I had been told at the outset that a delivery will take over 2 hours my expectation would have been set and I wouldn't have had to write such a negative review. I shall never return. We have eaten here previously, it was OK but does not come close to the other Thai in Newquay, Kahuna (who unfortunately don't deliver)My advise to others is to go elsewhere.

Such a shame, I was looking forward to a meal in a local restaurant. When we arrived there was only 3 other people sat down. We were greeted by friendly staff and sat at our table. Our drinks order was taken along with our food order. The drinks arrived and about 30 minutes later ! our starters arrived. There was by now 9 others sat on different tables awaiting to place an order. We waited at least well over an hour for our mains to come, and when my order came it was way to spicy to eat. There was a lot of confusion over the bill and chaos at the till with the take away food taking over he seated orders. As I said, such a shame I won't be returning. Total time in the restaurant 2 hours 30 mins for a two course meal.

Four of us have eaten here tonight and although 90% of the food was excellent one dish was so hot my husband could only pick out the chicken from the sauce. The restaurant was very quiet at 6pm when we arrived with only a table of three people in. There was only 2 staff, one cooking and one serving. We received our drinks quickly and placed our food order. We waited 40 minutes for our starters but they were excellent. We tried unsuccessfully to order another drink as another 11 people had arrived. Two men at the next table waited 20 minutes before their order was taken! We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our main courses and managed to order another round of drinks which never turned up. Eventhough my friend and I had ordered different meals when we asked which one was which we were told they were both the same. We were so hungry at this point so we just ate it. There was a constant queue for takeaway which obviously takes precedence and the phone never stopped. We decided to leave and had to go up to ask to pay. It was chaos, we had been charged for the drinks which never materialised and then not believed until the waitress came and apologised for not bringing them. My friend has to tell them every dish we'd had so they could work out which bill was ours. We were charged £62 and when we went to pay were told it was £73. We were never asked how our meal was at any point. It doesn't matter how great the food is, poor service means we won't be returning. It's a Thursday night over the Christmas New Year period it IS going to be busy, get more staff.

I just had my first delivery / takeaway from Ganesha. Every dish was fantastic, full of flavours and more like the Thai food I ate in Thailand. The estimate for delivery of the food was accurate. I will be visiting the restaurant soon.

Finally, a decent Thai food sit down/takeaway restaurant in Newquay. Really nice staff, good food and in a convenient location. My only gripe is that it does take a while, but the food is always correct and hot when it arrives. Best Thai food in Newquay

I have been in here several times and absolutely love the food i was apprehensive about ordering curry as many times before in different places i often end up being unwell and I do not like spicy food however the massaman curry here is lovely with no spice and very creamy the food is always lovely however due to the small size it can become incredibly busy and booking is essential during half term and weekends i did book a table and arrived to find someone else sat at it! the management did move the people off the table however this proved for an awkward experience luckily they had not ordered i would always come back here however if you are looking for a quite meal with amazing food Monday to Thursday are probably the best days to go as weekends become very busy due to the amazing food

If you come across a busy takeaway/restaurant, there is a reason for that and it's down to damn good food. I phoned up they said 40min and it took 50. Did I care, no as it was amazing food. True Thai authentic food tasting amazing and at a very reasonable price. I went and collected, the service was polite, honest and what you expect from a good busy takeaway. I'm not sure how people from Birmingham can state this as their local takeaway!!!!But as a tourist I'd recommend this takeaway to anyone who visits Newquay.

Ganesha used to be a take away but now have a premises to run as a restaurant and takeaway. The decor and interior is beautiful, The food is authentic and exquisite. If you are a seafood fan and love Squid but are fed up of rubbery overcooked squid you should try it here. Prepared to perfection with the membrane removed and tender juicy and seasoned to perfection we started with one squid starter and had ordered 4 portions by the completion of a meal. The service was great and the choice of menu, drinks etc superb. If you are missing Thailand then this is Thailand in Newquay.

popped in last night for my first time and had to wait a little but it was totally worth the wait, as i live out of town i can't get free delivery so decided to drive in and order, the staff are typical lovely thai girls who cook yummy food, i will phone through the order next time as it was busy when i went, i will be coming here a lot from now on

This is my local Thai place and the food I've had is good. Seems fresh and authentic. BUT I just can't go in there anymore due to the poor organisation and service.Staff seem like lovely people but there's several problems. I've been in 6 times and each time organisation has seemed poor. Tonight I waited for an hour for 2 dishes but then asked for a refund and I'm now waiting for a pizza to come.1. They take too many orders than they can handle.2. They say orders will be quicker than they can do3. They need a staff member to focus on taking bookings and serving people. So many times I've seen people come in and wait to have orders taken.4. Orders are on bits of paper in piles. They aren't in order5. Takeaway food is left out as they rush to get bits together- food must be cold on occasions when it gets to people.6.People walk in and hang around awkwardly while they wait for someone to come over to them. Then realise no one is going to speak to them.7. There was a guy washing pots who said he didn't work there but saw the staff were struggling. But when we complained after an hour he jumped to their defence saying it was busy. But during the hour I was in the place there was only two tables with people on them.8. A group of 4 people left who had had a sit down meal. The guy came to pay and said food was good but service was terrible. Insisted on getting his change instead of leaving a tip.Organisation lets this place down. It's a real shame as it has potential to be good as the staff do know how to cook good food. I know other locals put off from ordering here and it's the locals who would make up most of the business as winter comes. This place used to be a takeaway and recently moved to being a restaurant aswell but this may be where the problem lies as the organisation isn't there to handle this.In the 15 minutes it's taken me to write this review my pizza from Dominos Pizza has come. Quicker than the hour I waited for no food.

We didn't book but they fitted us in. The restaurant wasn't busy but I think the take-away service was pretty constant. The owner (I think) was very nice but also very rushed. It took a while to have our order taken, to receive our drinks and then to receive our food. The food was ok, the Pad Thai a little lacking in flavour, but on the whole the family enjoyed it. Would try other Thai's next time.

Second visit here , great food reminded us of our Thailand travels. Now has a licence so enjoyed the chaing lager! Staff really friendly and obliging, had the best prawn crackers to start & chilli bbq squid which was Thai hot! & not for the feint hearted!Then we had massaman curry which was amazing superb taste, generous portion & probably the best we have ever had & the pad thai was superb loads of chicken & delicious. Great meal

really tasty authentic Thai food! the ladies were really friendly. We ordered fish with vegetables, and it came with a big whole fried fish with tasty vegetables and sauce. We even went back the next night and ditched our plan to go to Rick Stein's in Padstow! Definitely a better choice!

Another superb takeaway. The food was of a very high standard and cotinues to be excellent value. We had 6 different mains - all very authentic. An absolute pleasure to eat.This place remains a gem. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere. I should say that they have moved up the road and now have seating. The food is amazing, all made to order so its really fresh. If I have to give a negative, then it is that they don't have ice for drinks, so no big deal. The soft drinks are chilled though. It's byo wine or beer. If you're looking for a superb Panang or pad Thai you can't go wrong, but try the home made dim sum and lightly battered squid for a treat.

It was our first night in Newquay and we were trying to find somewhere to eat. Walked past the restaurant and it smelt gorgeous although it did say it was a takeaway there are some tables inside. After having a drink we went back to eat. They do not have a licence so you can take a drink and they just charge corkage. Food was cooked fresh and tasted as good as it smelt.

Restaurant is quite small but has a very good atmosphere, quick service and fantastic tasting food.... make sure you try the food here if your at this end of the town.... A must .... very good price... will definitely be eating here again...

Was looking for something to eat whilst on holiday in Newquay with our dog & asked if we could eat in the restaurant and was told it was OK as it was quiet. Really glad we were able as the food and service was great !BYO drink as not licenced which is great as there is a shop selling a good selection of alcohol just up the road.We ate deep fried vegetables in thin lite and crispy batter with a chilli dip which was really good . Our mains arrived before we had finished the starter which is perhaps the only negative however we were both hungry so it wasn't a problem. We ate Massimann Beef curry, chicken penang with rice and noodles and having travelled around Thailand these dishes were one of the tastiest dishes we have eaten outside of Thailand! the staff were friendly and engaging . Only wish we lived closer as would be regulars.Definitely recommend and return.

We love this takeaway! It's clean, tasty food delivered to your door for free! We only waited 30mins from ordering to it being delivered! It's amazing. Could not fault it!

Forget Rick Stein, go here you won't be disappointed. Flavours are amazing and so fresh. Reading all the other comments, I think we did well - ordered over the phone and we collected 25 minutes later.

Waited 2 hours for a takeaway to be delivered that was meant to be no longer than an hour. Rang the restaurant several times to ask where our food was and was told "well it busy, it's Saturday".Told that it would be 20 minutes twice and sill no sign of food. I asked outright if our order was being cooked yet and they finally admitted that it was not. Cancelled the order, no apology or efforts to make amends by the manager at all. Rude service and extremely unhelpful staff, will not be going here again.

Always enjoy my visit to Ganesha. Best fresh thai food in Newquay, with lots of choice. The staff are always lovely and chatty. Working opposite here we always pop in and the staff stay open for when we finish or let us put our orders in ready.

Ordered takeaway but unfortunately took 75 minutes to arrive (despite us being just over a mile away). Had to phone to ask where it was...lady on the phone didn't really know what was happening or why it hadn't been delivered. Food cold when we got it, but tasted fine once heated up! Satay chicken was very tasty!

Second time of eating here now and was not disappointed, cooked in front of you, great tasting Thai food and very friendly staff , need I say more , will defiantly visit again

Amazing thai quality food, tasty and cooked with their hearts.The two owners are really nice and friendly.The kitchen is opened, you can see them doing their magic. All ingredients taste and look fresh and you can request how spicy you want your food or if you feel brave enough experience the thay style.Highly recommend

Usually opt for Indian or Chinese but felt like a change so checked out what other takeaway were available in Newquay via Trip Advisor and Ganesha Thai Takeaway popped up. The reviews were very positive so decided to give it a try and glad we did. Have now had two takeaways in as many weeks and both have been really good. Ganesha is across the road from a Wetherspoons so it is possible to pop and have a a reasonably priced beer while waiting for the food to be cooked.

Ill start the review by saying I cook Thai food well, and have visited Thailand a few times. Not bragging but context for review!Away from home and in need of quick fix Hubby stopped in here for some take away. The staff were lovely and the food order was quick and well packed up. It was also very good value for money, with 2 mains, rice and 2 starter at £18!the food was good, the Pad Thai for pretty fiery and the penang curry had a good mix of veg. pretty pleased all round for a unplanned visit.

Don't know what to say. It's nice, it's simple. Menu won't blow you away but it's a pretty good Thai. I probably visit once a month. Convenient to get to.Doesn't have any of the more exotic dishes, but has your usual Pad Thais etc

It was a 30 mile round trip to collect the takeaway but we were rewarded with a superb meal (and at an extremely good price). The meal was for 6 people - we had plenty to go around with very generous portions. All for about £10 a head including starters. The quality of the meal was excellent, with all the delicate flavours you expect from a good thai meal. The starters included fish cakes and pancake rolls, being some of the best we have had.It is always interesting to watch the cooking happen in front of you. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.Highly recommended indeed.We will certainly be making the trip again. I look forward to another thai here meal once the christmas festivities are past.

Great takeaway, good value and a very tasty Pad Thai. Good delivery service. I would recommend this Thai takeaway and the food tasted authentic.

I eat here a lot and love it, good fresh cooked with fresh ingredients, recommend to anyone whether it's for yourself or a party they will cater for you, if busy cooking times will be longer but always worth the wait :-)

Stayed in Newquay for three nights. Had a Thai takeaway on the first night. The food was awesome. Very traditional, Thai flavours. Good quality ingredients and well made. Very well priced and cheap in relation to other Thai restaurants. The Pad Thai was gorgeous. A Taste of Thailand Outside of Thailand.

We tried this takeaway whilst on holiday in Newquay; they deliver which is an added bonus. One of the best Thai takeaways I have ever had; the food arrived freshly cooked and pipping hot. Will use again when next in Newquay.

Fantastic place, very warm and friendly staff, all food is cooked in front of you, fresh veg, herbs. I have never had such a great Thai takeaway. Defo worth visiting when in Newquay or if you live there get in there :)

Brilliant thai curry. Cheap quick taste of Thailand High recommended. I've been a couple of times & my sister in law is now big fan. Staff are friendly & nothing is too much trouble

I tend to post good reviews only after 2 or 3 visits (bad experiences get written up immediately!) so this is after 4 delightful takeaway meals. If you've been to Thailand you are getting as close to that experience as you can in Cornwall, if you haven't and are feeling nervous, let the Chef know and you will get a 'soft' but delicious introduction to a fabulous cuisine. My 5 and 7yr old kids love this place: they get Pad Thai without the searing heat, whilst I have the full afterburner effect on mine

Traditional Thai food cooked to authentic taste and ingredients. Very friendly staff & all freshly prepared and cooked food; meat, vegetables & sauce or seasonings. Try it out out now, very tasty. Recommended. :-D

We were recommended this take away by family and were very impressed with the friendly Thia ladies who run the take away. The food was authentic and very fresh. You could be in Thialand. Will go back again.

We have just finished a family takeaway, 2 orders which was delivered for free in 20-30 mins. All the food was fresh. It was very authentic. Meat was great quality and cut nice and thinly. We had Beef Pad khing, chicken parang, vegetable pad Thai, pancake rolls & rice for £24! Can't wait to return! Sooooooooo yummy!
