The food was nice but not really worth it for the price vs. any other local Indian. The sweetcorn fritters in the 'street snacks' were incredibly dry and cardboardy unfortunately! I imagine it's better if you sit in...

They forgot our Poppadoms & Pickles too.

Reasonably authentic but very pricey. For the price of 20 meals here you could fly to South India AND eat 20 meals in random restaurants. And 18 of them would be tastier than Ganapati's.

Poppadoms were crushed into bits. Beetroot chutney has one slice of beetroot in it, instead of the usual sliced chutney. I love ganapati, but did not enjoy the prawn curry this evening, bitter with no interesting flavours.

best Indian takeaway in the area.

Although the food was very good, I can't say it was worth nearly double the cost of other restaurants in the area. It is especially gawling when you realise they add about 50p to each dish compared with their website, others don't do this. I would maybe go out to the restaurant but wouldn't order takeaway from here again, too expensive.

As someone of Indian descent, this is hands down the best Indian I’ve had in the UK. I wouldn’t bother with anywhere else but just be aware this is authentic Indian food so if you are looking for a tikka masala, then it’s not for you.

I went to the restaurant years ago when it first opened but haven't been able to go back. I couldn't wait to try Ganapati again and the takeaway did not disappoint!

This is our third order from Ganapati and as always the food was delicious. We love that they mark allergens really clearly on the menu as my hubby is lactose intolerant and it makes life much easier. Our order was quite late this time but the staff were very apologetic about it and it hasn't put us off ordering again.

As a Bangladeshi, I can confirm this is hands down the best and most authentic Indian takeaway I’ve had in London so far. Absolutely incredible service and quality of food. It might seem pricey but portion sizes are big and quite frankly the food is worth every penny. I’m already excited for my next takeaway!

Food was made from good quality ingredients but, unfortunately, the flavour in the Lamb Dacha, Venna Chicken, & Ganapati Daal was rather bland, thin, & watery.

Finally found a fresh and healthy tasting Indian in London. Really great food! i'll definitely be ordering again.

It was all delicious but the Beetroot with Black Eyed Bena Pachadi was really really delicious

Delivery arrived an hour early. Curry was watery and tasteless. Chicken was chewy. Will not order again.

Delicious! Out of this world tasty. It felt healthy and nutritious, not like some Indian take aways which can be very heavy and greasy. We will definitely order again.

Great food. Don’t mind slightly late arrival as we pre-ordered before kitchen had opened. Would rather late and fresh than on time and pre-cooked, and it certainly tasted fresh!

Amazing fresh ingredients, tasty and authentic food, with a good selection for vegans and vegetarians. The food arrived early, was hot and delicious. Left me feeling content and not over full! One of the best takeaway curries I've had!

The food here is stunning! The heat is moreish , everything is fragrant and sliced just right. The condiments are fantastic too!!! Best India cuisine I've had in a very long time!

The food was excellent the spicier dishes had perfect amount of heat and if takeaway was that nice i definitely want to try and visit their restaurant!

Food was great and really tasted yummy. Was still hot so that was good. Came earlier then estimated so was happy with that.

Chicken was hard. Lamb was tough and the curry sauce was watery. Dosa filling was tasteless.

Very wonderful food! Dishes you don't find elsewhere. Complimentary side dishes/tasters were great and food quality was sublime. Excellent. Delivery staff very pleasant also.

Not your basic takeaway, the food is made from quality ingredients and prepared really well, making it super tasty. Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices, and always great service.

Love Ganapati a lot - but much, much better eating in than taking away. It was a Friday night but an 80 minute waiting time plus an additional 20mins late on top of that seemed a bit excessive - would rather they'd refused the order

Always amazing food. Great taste and delivered on or before time said. Could've done with a few more prawns in dish as they didn't feel very 'king' sized but aside from that, delicious!

Probably the best Biriani I have ever eaten

some of the reviews on here made me feel less than convinced about ordering but there was no need for the hesitation. The food was outstanding. Hot, fresh and extremely tasty. Best take away for a long time.

While their menu is innovative, and not the usual Brit take away slop there are better quality + better priced takeaways out there. It's just not worth the near £30 for 2 people for dinner. The poppadoms are £4.25! Other curry houses supply these for free!

Okay, a bit bland, ate from here before and it was better, slightly disappointed.

Always top quality food. Good portion sizes. Lovely thick juicy pieces of chicken! Delivery time was 30 minutes ahead of schedule so all in all a delicious meal.

I didn't like the curry but maybe that's my poor choice however the chicken was really dry.

Have eaten in here before and been thrilled - but tonight my curry was not good at all. It only had two pieces of sweet potato (it was a sweet potato curry) and the heavy was very watery and under seasoned.

Excellent meal. Just Eat sent me a confirmation email stating a pick up time of 9:30. However, when I arrived, the food wasn't ready as the restaurant had confirmed a time of 10pm. They were exceptionally friendly about it, phoned Just Eat to ask if there was any possibility of a discount (which Just Eat didn't provide), and hurried the cooking. Really outstanding, friendly service. Delighted with the restaurant. Very annoyed with Just Eat for wasting my time and failing to make any amends.

We had heard good things about this place so decided to give it a try. Delivery was very fast but the food was disappointing for the price. The curry at over £10 had only 5 pieces of chicken and was nothing special. The mushroom paneer was quite insipid and had only 4 pieces of paneer in it for £7.50. Overall would not recommend.

Went to collect my order, for 21.05 (which changed from 20.45) and the staff said it would be 5 minutes. I waited until 21.30 and asked if it would be much longer. The man ignored me, then the woman got his attention, he was extremely rude and said its here and shoved the bag of food into my hand, no apologies no thank you for waiting, just went back to messaging on his phone . I deliberately choose collection so I didn't have to wait for delivery but the food took over an hour for a collection order and the staff were so rude. Heard great things about this place, the food was good but I wouldn't order from here again

The Korma tasted like a supermarket bought curry and the lamb wasn't anything special either. The poppadum selection dips weren't nice at all. I'd heard good things about Ganapati but definitely won't be eating from there again.

I love the restaurant but the takeaway continues to disappoint. Its an expensive takeaway for generally non spectacular food.

Driver clearly didn't read the notes section, or he would have known where to go, which didn't really affect us but I would have been worried if we had been entertaining one of my friends with food allergies. If you have an allergy, make sure they check! Because the food is well worth it and they delivered within half an hour.

Amazing South Indian cuisine. I have been hunting for a good curry in South East since I moved here over a year ago. I have been let down by delivery after delivery of boring tasteless curries. I will be back.

I am a south indian myself and I know exactly how the south indian food taste like and the food from this restaurant is totally tasteless and no way close to south indian especially dosa it's got absolutely no taste in the filling inside or the way it supposed to be and I had chicken biryani which is horrible I make delicious Biriyani myself which is alot more better than the one I ordered from this restaurant , I don't think they know how to make proper south indian dishes because they don't use proper spices or ingredients and the prices are bloody expensive if I had any oppurtunity to open south indian restaurant I would make proper homemade dishes which is very nice and delicious the only reason I ordered coz I was tired from work and I think I'll be 1st person to give negative feedback because I know exactly how south indian dish is coz I cook myself proper homemade , I won't recommended anyone and I won't order from this restaurant again

Great food, delivered slightly earlier than the estimated time. One item in the order was incorrect which was very kindly (and quickly!) replaced.

Excellent quality, best of the bunch round East Dulwich, Peckham etc. Authentic taste as well, although could have done with being a little more spicy. Only bad thing is the price, which puts it into the random treat bracket every few months. But you get what you pay for!

Poor quality food. Soul-less, flavourless and sad. Weak sauces, weird watered down raita. Bland and under-seasoned. Dull rice. Large rough cut lumps of dry chicken were simply basic. Never again. Do not know why this was even recommended to me. Shameful. It did arrive with a smile though!

It may cost a tad more, but this Indian takeaway is unlike any other around here. The food is made with high quality ingredients, free range meats and is flavourful (not greasy). There are plenty of choices for vegans and gluten-free diners as well.
