I was astounded at how rude and abrupt the lady who served me was today. Every time we go into this shop the staff are rude. The first couple of times I let it go as you never know what people are going through in their lives but it has just happened so many times now, it is infuriating how you are treated when you are being perfectly civil and polite. I am appalled that they get away with it when clearly from other reviews, many people have had similar experiences and nothing is done about it.

Staff are very rude. Every time I go in. They leave you waiting whilst they chat amongst themselves. Only one is polite is Stephanie. I’ve only been twice in the last month I’ve got home and my order has been wrong. I think these staff need a talking to really by management as lots of the reviews on here are similar.

Rude staff!!! 3 people serving and had to ask if I could order. Then got an eye roll for trying to pay with a Scottish note (which is legal tender!) What ever happened to customer service?!?

Bacon and Egg Toast at 8.15am.... Sounds easy? Wrong. The woman who served me got in a huff because unlike a Pie, you simply can't chuck a B&E toast in a paper bag. You've got to actually COOK an egg and TOAST some bread... You'd think I had asked for a 9 course tasting menu.... AND you cant pay on a card. Had to go find a cash machine. Poor attitude and antiquated payment method means I will avoid in future. AND to top it off the shop was a mess.

I call at Galloways Bakers often for lunch. They have a good selection of pies, sandwiches and cakes. I had minced steak pie and meat & potato pie today. Both very nice. Convenient fast food

The pies are always nice from here so it was no surprise when I ate the large minced steak pie that it was good. On this occasion I also bought a slice of chocolate fudge cake. A very generous slice it was too. A little sweet however even for me. Very nice though.

Popped in here in the morning to buy a pie for my lunch. I couldn't decide between the chunky steak or the minced steak so I bought one of each. As it was early, I indulged in a bacon roll too. All good.

Not too keen on the barn cakes. Seems like they are put into plastic wrapping whilst still warm which seems to make them soggy. Bread doesn't seem to have a crispy crust either like it used to have

I don't often write reviews like this but like to give credit where it's due. Went in to Greggs in the Big Asda in Wigan. Only wanted a sausage roll. During the transaction I was greeted with a warm, friendly welcome and a big smile from Ryan. He answered my question about the allergens in the sausages used for the sausage rolls with patience and clarity. He also complimented my favourite sports team because of my hat bearing their logo. When delivering the sausage roll to me, he transferred it swiftly but delicately in a manner that would benefit the Team GB relay squads at the Olympics. I have written to Joanna Adams (CEO of UK Athletics) to suggest taking Ryan to Paris as a coach but part of me wants him to remain at Greggs, where he serves as an example of everything their staff should aspire to be. I left the store feeling reinvigorated in a way seldom achieved by a sausage roll purchase and would recommend anyone to try it if they ever need cheering up.
