A potato and meat patie and a sausage roll both with, in my opinion, literally the smallest traces of meat. Overpriced bland in flavour, simply terrible food t a relatively high cost.

Customer service was not great as in not very welcoming. We bought a chunky steak pie and a sausage roll both of which we could not eat as they were unpleasant - bland and dripping in grease. Though the pastry was not bad the chunky steak pie was grey inside with very little meat that looked like beef mince in a gloopy grey-coloured gravy that should have been chunks of beef steak in a beef gravy. Chunky steak pie should not look like that. Not even Greenaulghs look like that. My friend said that the sausage roll had so much grease in the pastry it was the worst he has ever tried. It's time that Galloways checked quality standards.

Dropped in Galloway on Market Street , Wigan around 2 pm for steak pie. The unfriendly assistant asked sarcastically, which one, the minced steak one? I replied the one that has pieces of steak. At £2:40 I received a warm pie. The first bite tasted salty and the second bite had no steak at all. I opened the top to find two tiny pieces of meat in a thick solidified lump of gravey. So disgusting. I returned it to the shop to inform them it was the worst pie taste I ever had. Sadly I got told by that assistant to complain to head office. Galloway, never again.

Awful customer service! Two ladies sniggering together at customers. Snappish questions regarding order. Snarkish and unwelcome feel over priced and food terrible on breakfast items. Will tell everyone I know about this awful place.

A Wigganer is always happiest in a pie shop! Pie, peas and gravy with a buttered barm and a cake. What's not to like?

A large selection of pies, sandwiches, soup, bread, pastries and cakes. Mouth watering food at a reasonable price.

I don't often write reviews like this but like to give credit where it's due. Went in to Greggs in the Big Asda in Wigan. Only wanted a sausage roll. During the transaction I was greeted with a warm, friendly welcome and a big smile from Ryan. He answered my question about the allergens in the sausages used for the sausage rolls with patience and clarity. He also complimented my favourite sports team because of my hat bearing their logo. When delivering the sausage roll to me, he transferred it swiftly but delicately in a manner that would benefit the Team GB relay squads at the Olympics. I have written to Joanna Adams (CEO of UK Athletics) to suggest taking Ryan to Paris as a coach but part of me wants him to remain at Greggs, where he serves as an example of everything their staff should aspire to be. I left the store feeling reinvigorated in a way seldom achieved by a sausage roll purchase and would recommend anyone to try it if they ever need cheering up.
