Gallones Ice Cream Parlour in South Northamptonshire

The staff were quick to serve and very friendly. I got my waffle very soon after paying and sat and ate in a nice dining area.

Shocking pricing policy. During my recent visit with my son, I asked how much a single scoop was as there are no prices on display apart from sundaes and waffles. I was told £2.65. My son ordered a one scoop Bambino and I asked for one scoop of Strawberry Shortcake in a pot rather than a cone. When I looked at my receipt I had been charged for two Bambinos which I queried with the lady who served me. She assured me it was correct, followed by a colleague who came over and told me it was right. That basically one scoop of ice cream is charged as a Bambino even though you’re not ordering a Bambino. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Based on this, I won’t be returning.

Sadly disappointed as a lover of Gallones Ice Cream which was as good as usual . Yes it was a busy and very hot Sunday and not surprised that we had to wait a while as waffle and churos dishes naturally took a while to prepare . Choice of ice cream flavours very good . Would have been nice if the 3 meals had been coordinated to arrive at the same time. Ice cream dish came straight away from the counter but other dishes took 20 minutes by which time the ice cream dish had to be eaten or turned to liquid in the heat of this non air conditioned restaurant. Worst was the tough and chewy waffles that you couldn’t get a knife or fork through and the equally impenetrable churos . Toilet facility was poor, doors left open to restaurant area , a cold tap only that didn’t turn off and a hand dryer that didn’t work Come on Gallones , you’re an old and respected company and could do better.

Large group of Brownies and Rainbows attended, nearly 50 people total. Event was very organised and well set up. Workers were good with the children and they all enjoyed themselves! Very good value for money for youth groups to consider. My 1 star taken off was for the pencils provided, half of them were really blunt, no sharpener could be found on site so we had to go to the Co-Op and buy a pencil set for a fiver! When you are doing it as a competition you have to provide them with the resources. Maybe investing in a more 'fixed' sharpener would help - or having some spare packets on site - this was the ONLY thing though and I know on the whole everyone enjoyed it so would recommend!

Called in for ice cream and coffee. The choice was so different, flavours I would never have thought off. I had my favourite vanilla and banoffee, WOW delicious. Hubby was delighted with his as well. The service was great so polite couldn’t do enough. The choice of topping was also extensive. Coffee as good as any I’ve tasted. What a treat Towcester needed something like this to extend its variety of shops. You can also buy tubs of these gorgeous flavours, I bought a toffee and a Jaffa cake. Now that is the best I’ve ever tasted in my life. Had Italian in Italy, no comparison. They have flavours you wouldn’t dream of. I’ll certainly be going again, take my friends for a treat. Just love this parlour and hope it stays forever.

If you like deserts and ice cream you’ll love this place. Ice cream, Cadbury’s chocolate and churros what more could you ask for.

Went for a coffee and sat in. The menu looks fabulous and lots of choice so if you like ice cream and desserts, this is the place for you! The reason for not 5/5 was the Lattes we had weren’t hot enough. There was another table having waffles with ice cream and they looked yummy. Will definitely be going back.
