It’s in a unique location with no competition, so could have been an average offering, but I found the welcome warm, the service good and the hot chocolate and banoffi pie of a very good standard. The views are splendid, plenty of parking, toilets excellent, altogether a delightful visit.

Our charity took 100+ lighthouse enthusiasts to Mull of Galloway lighthouse and this coffee house opened up specially, by pre-arrangement, on a day they are not normally open. They offered full service to us and the quality was excellent. For such a remote location to have such a high quality place to chill out and socialise with great food and drink is amazing. Brilliant.

We drove down to The Mull of Galloway for 3 reasons, to walk the dog, to visit the lighthouse and to have lunch in the Gallie Craig. Well as the song goes - two out of three ain't bad! The cafe/restaurant is not dog friendly, and I was not prepared to leave the dog in our vehicle on a sunny day. Very disappointing, but their business, their rules. However it's my money and my choice where I spend it, so we moved on. It is not sufficient in my opinion to only allow dogs onto the outside terrace. This is Scotland and the weather can be brutal - even though it was a sunny day, it was far too windy to sit outside.

Visited this cafe yesterday in one of the view glorious days of this dire Scottish summer. Wonderful position with views to Isle of Man and N Ireland. Delightful staff serving good Scottish fare to enjoy in lovely surroundings and yesterday outside. Note the good Limousin cross calves grazing with their mothers in the adjacent fields.

We holiday every year in D&G and visit the Mull, and of course - food at Gallie!! After a beautiful walk we popped in for dinner. Yet again, another perfect visit. We ordered burger meals, and desserts. Food piping hot, and desserts were gorgeous. Struggled to finish it all! Won’t be a popular opinion, but I’m for one glad dogs aren’t allowed in. I adore animals, we have pets ourselves - but not keen on being surrounded by dogs whilst relaxing and eating. There was a lady sat outside with a dog that barked non stop at nothing! Yap yap yap yap yap. Imagine that inside? no thanks! :) thank you again Gallie Craig xx

A walk on a very windy day with our dog then headed to Gallie Craig in the hope of some lunch to warm us up. Nope! Dogs not allowed apparently. Big sign on the door. The area is in the middle of nowhere ,and yet they won’t allow dogs in or nor do they provide takeaway food. Gob smacked as just about every other shop in this area welcome dogs…so we left and went to one of these more welcoming places!

Visited for lunch with my partner. Tip don't take your drinks before your meal as service is slow so you will have drunk them before it arrives. We both had Macaroni chips and garlic bread. The garlic bread was actually white bread toasted and spread with garlic butter, very disappointing. Macaroni was delicious however the chips were about bland as frozen ones can be. No sauces on tables or offered and it was so busy by the time the waitress passed we were nearly done. We had cheesecake to finish which was delicious. The bill was £40 for a plain lunch for 2 which was a mixed bag. This left us wondering if proper pub lunch is better value? This is cafe food with hotel prices. Due to the slow meal service, hike in prices and the cheap components of the meal I vote pub/hotel for lunch.

Superb lunch with my wife having the local line caught mackerel salad. This consisted of two mackerel, a good amount of salad, grated chees, boiled egg, bread and butter, oat cakes, chilli lime mayonnaise and a chutney!. Do not order chips!. I had the beefburger, all the beef coming from local farms. Mine came with chips, smoked cheese, and chorizo. The prices represent excellent value. The staff are lovely and very professional. If you are near, lunch here is not to be missed. After a few hours walking, we did manage an ice cream sundae each, which were again locally sourced and lovely

We have visited Gallie Craig before and it’s a great cafe/restaurant in a stunning location. As we travel with our dog we usually sit outside on the terrace overlooking the cliffs. This time however it was too cold and windy so we decided to just get some rolls and sit in the car. I ordered two baguettes and waited for them to be freshly made. I was expecting just the rolls to come out, probably in a paper bag. Instead we got wonderful fresh and warm huge baguettes, complete with side salad, forks etc in their own boxes to take out. They tasted great and were beautifully presented. Hopefully the next time we go it will be nice enough to sit outside and have a full hot meal but as even their take out rolls are this good I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Such friendly and helpful staff as well, they fully deserve 5 stars!

This cafe served the worst scone I have ever had / didn't have. (and that's saying something as I'm in my 70s and have had a few in my time. You could build a house with a few of them. Inedible expensive rubbish. It came in a paper bag, no plate and a wooden disposable knife which struggled to cut it. The coffee was served in a paper cup. But was drinkable. Cost over £13 for two coffees and two inedible scones. I am disgusted and will definitely won't be back

Just superb all round - the food [first and foremost] was fantastic! The vibe & atmosphere were spot-on - great music, decor, everything. Will be back for sure - gotta try that Malaysian Curry next! Had the burrito this time, which was awesome! And the Sticky Toffee Carrot Cake… Ummm… Can I have some more, please? Took me far too long to get my bum in the door - won’t be dilly-dallying about for Round 2, I can tell ya that!

Visited the Frothy this morning for the first & very last time as the cafe is closing. Whilst the cafe was comfortable the coffee wasn’t the best ever tasted and we were stunned at the price! Compared to other coffee houses close by it was surprising; could this be a reason they are not finding it profitable?
