Gallery Restaurant in Manchester

Could do with a complete overhaul in terms of the quality of food on offer and staff attitude, some of them really do not want to be there and it shows. At no point did we feel welcomed or that our custom was wanted or required.

Disgraceful that a restaurant within a major hospital closes so early… This is supposed to be a first world country, yet there is no hot food past 5pm. Opening times on the room was wrong too (6:30pm)

Nope... The lady serving was very nice and gave me a good size portion but for £5 nah.. its supposed to be a baked potato, cheese and beans.. also cutting the skin of the jacket was almost impossible. I went in at 4pm, might be better to go before then

Our restaurant at work! Staff are friendly, always smiling. Place kept clean, food actually tasty, always choices. Pre- packed or freshly made sandwiches available or hot food. Main restaurant closes at 2 but you can still grab a jacket potato or sandwich after that time. Reasonable prices, too! Plus, they do breakfast! They close just to swap over from breakfast and lunch.

Contrary to other reviews we found the staff very hospitable and helpful. We had breakfast which was extremely good.

Food is ok for produced in bulk. Went every week but the attitude of the staff is awful. We bought for the whole department and would spend a lot of money every week. The eye rolling and tutting, and nasty attitude of the staff has meant that we will do fat Friday elsewhere. You've not just lost one customer you've lost a department of 30.

Spacious outlet and nice kitchen, serving hot meals along with snacks, beverages and cold drinks. It would be better if they extend their working atleast upto 8.00 pm.

This is the restaurant within Manchester General Hospital. The staff are lovely, prices are fair and the food is good. There is plenty of choice

Is this a public restaurant for both patients staff visitors etc? If so, they wouldn't let me eat in there. I walked in after having my appointment and the lady behind the counter told me it's for staff only and said I won't be served. I was confused as it's a hospital and doesn't make sense. Can somebody please clarify as I am absolutely livid and seething with anger. Surely this can't be right. I then ended up downstairs at the café in the main entrance with just a coffee. I need to make a complaint as I am not happy

Turned up ready for a meal, picked fish chips and peas from menu then got in queue waited 10mins, just to be told got none, that was it two words got none, no sign telling me and other people getting the same response. How hard is it to put a sign up to tell people they've run out so you can look for something else or go. No Fish and chips for gods sake.

Enjoyed the food and staff were fantastic, service was spot on 👍.

Food was really nice, drinks were lovely and really good prices. I would definitely recommend the gallery.
