Had a fantastic evening with crazy Wendy's sing along. Food is OK but entertainment more than makes up for it. Good laugh for everyone

Best Thai food I've had in the UK! I traveled far for this food and it was as amazing as I remembered! Such a good weekday offer as well, wish I still lived in Manchester I would come all the time! Also amazing for veggy and vegan most dishes can come with vegetables or tofu 😁 10/10 couldn't recommend enough ⭐

Terrible service, ordered food didn’t arrive. Seriously gone down hill, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Rude attitude from the staff. Used to be good, it’s now the lowest of the low. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered for takeaway. The food is always made fresh to order. Each dish is always packed well to prevent any leaks especially for the curries. Highly recommend this place.

The food isnt cheap and it is flavourless. We've been ordering from here since lockdown and were initially blown away by the food. However, since last year, the last two times we've ordered from Crazy Wendy's it's been disappointing, but I was hoping this time would be different. Sadly, it wasn't. Chicken Pad Thai was so bland and overcooked - almost mushy. My panang gung didn't have the thick curry sauce described on the menu (it was very runny and not like a panang should be), plus it was 70% veg over prawns. A real shame as we were really impressed by the quality of this food back in 2020 and there isn't much of a Thai alternative in Withington/Didsbury.

Not been here for years however went tonight with my daughter. We had the set menu and it was absolutely delicious! Penang curry best I've had, very authentic. Reasonable price and very friendly and efficient service. We will definitely be back!

What a lovely place. Think it was busier in it's hey day but then people are missing out on a great thing. Authentic, tasty, great portions of Thai cuisine. Think the house wine was strong as only managed 1.5 glasses but was merrier for it. Window seat taken. Watched the rain, my other halfs lovely face and people passing. A few popped heads in and asked for Wendy. She wasn't there so they passed by. Their total loss!! Once again, what a lovely place!! Top notch rating from me, even with the plastic table clothes ❤️👍👍👍

Didn't know what to expect but Monday/Thursday it's seems to be quiet which was really good food and service was good fizzy drinks from a bottle and not draft which were slightly flat reasonably priced

I was scared with the number of stars but I realise it was years ago so I give a change to this place was the best experience lovely people with excellent food, I will come back soon to try the rest of the menu

Food was delicious tasted so fresh - really great prices! The service was incredible the waitress who served us was so friendly we chatted with her many times through out the evening she was so lovely. Such a nice atmosphere I will definitely be coming again soon

Went for a hen do last weekend and from stepping in we was greeted with friendly faces the atmosphere was great. We have a 2 course meal which there was plenty of food between 4 of us. Drinks flowed with music playing with karaoke 🎤 Crazy wendy herself was entertaining and had all of us up on our feet dancing and singing the night away.

My niece had a "Hen do" last week. End of the night one of her friends jumped on one of the tables and unfortunately fell through it!!! She couldn't leave until she had paid £50 for the damage even though Wendy had been on the tables throughout the night!!! Ruined a great nite and still waitinh for a response to our emails! Wouldn't go again 😱😱😱

Sorry not the best experience was there last night for my son's birthday with the family couldn't tell who the staff were all wearing there own clothes thought they had been for a jog in there trakies heating up very high so you would by more overpriced drinks food ok nothing special crazy Wendy's must of been hiding never seen here once not shure you are supposed to finish your food buy more drinks and wait for her to appear won't be e back

The place is really shoddy and outdated, the drinks are over priced, the food portions are small and lack flavour and authenticity. The staff are weird and unprofessional. I definitely would'nt return.

Works do for 15 people, no one else in the venue. Broken tables and tired decor. Wendy could not of been less bothered that we were there. She Complained the whole time of having ‘hay fever’ and not being able to perform. We ended up creating our own entertainment. Sarah and Ellie who served us the whole night were amazing but Wendy couldn’t of cared less if we were there and spent most of the night sat in the back. Very poor entertainment, would not recommend.

Best thai green curry in the neighbourhood, as a veggie, never had a good Thai green apart from Crazy Wendy's, very authentic, rich, fresh, full of veg. My favourite!

Very basic atmosphere with plastic table cloths. Very good starters of Satay and Ribs. Downhill after that. The Pad Thai, normally my favourite meal , the beef was poor quality and noodles disgusting and left most of it. The sweet and sour chicken where the chicken was dry and overall not tasty. Even the fried rice was bland. The price of the drinks crazy, effectvely £8 per pint added to a poor experience. Will not return as can find better places

4 of us went on a Sunday early evening on a Group On deal and it was great! Food was tasty, the portions were good and service was friendly too. Highly recommend.

We’ve been here on a night with Wendy doing what she does and it was an evening we rave about to our friends. This time was an early evening family meal on a Groupon. It’s a good location on Burton Rd with excellent people watching through the window. The decor, especially the plastic table clothes, is a bit rubbish but our food was lovely. We had ribs, hot and sour soup and crispy wanton for starters and no one was disappointed. Green and ano curry, Pad Thai and fried rice were all tasty and they didn’t skimp on the portions.

Sadly I believe Crazy Wendy's lost its popularity years ago...however the food is still amazing and worth remembering!! Those spicy salads and green curry! Love!

It was my hen night there on the 28th may. 15 of us went and we had a fab night. We opted for the buffet at £22 per person and it was plentiful, if you wanted more all you had to do was ask and the staff would bring the extra out to your table. The toilets are down stairs, however i did not use them as i have walking difficulties but there was a disabled toilet on the same level which was easily assessable. The staff were very friendly, infact they all made us more than welcome. Crazy wendy was fun and provided us with lots of giggles , wendy and the rest of staff all joined in with the dancing and fun. I would go back again and it is value for money.

Went in Last week for meal via groupon voucher. As you walk in the smell of stale cooked and uncooked food hiits you. Plastic tablecloths awful. The main menu looks ok but the groupon one was tatty sheets of paper. Ordered food, eventually after long wait, when food arrived it was crap, could not eat mine, smelled and tasted off. I could not wait to get out. No wonder there was not many in when all around are heaving. The only reason I can think that people go there is for the cabaret certainly not for food

The only reason to go here would be of you want the middle aged hen party vibe that is the atmosphere.. Although some people may like it even that seems a little forced. And of you want to be able to have a conversation forget about it, its too loud. As for the food given it is premium prices the portions are stingy, the meat os more gristle than meat and much of it is over fried and greasy.. Service is sloppy with forgotten orders, drinks charged twice and change forgotten, rife with confusion and error. I won’t be going back

A deposit is charged at the time of booking and contact very sincere till deposit has been paid. Unfortunately after that information changes, deposit IS NOT deducted from your final bill!! Wanted to charge one of our party the set meal cost of some chips only (severe allergies & reluctant to eat any other food). The food is ok, but no flexibility between set menu's unless you have groups of 4! Crazy Wendy good fun & entertainment if all there in party mindset. It may be that Crazy Wendy 'imports locals' for some free food/drinks to set the party mood and encourage the dancing - but hay that's ok if she's honest about it. No Karaoke lyrics anywhere. The table of local guys knew the process of loading the songs better that the staff, none of our requests were played. Crazy Wendy crazy, fun but not the best voice in the building. Staff clearly used to complaints about the bill. Would I return - perhaps but I would pay for drinks as you go and confirm the deposit will be taken off the bill first.

Not sure what the deal is with this place. If you call to make an order the woman is extremely unhelpful and confusing to speak to. Had a group on for takeaway specifically and they said it was part of a special menu but wouldn’t tell us where we could find that menu but then actually only applied to eating in so we couldn’t use it? It was a really confusing experience think I’ll swerve trying it.

Dont waste your money, nearly 300 to hire for a do and was the worst night and wendy was miserable, the bar lad and girl were amazing though, they celt the need to apologise to us which isnt there fault or job

Called to pick a takeaway when venue was supposed to be open, unfortunately due to covid hours had been changed. When we were driving out of Didsbury we noticed the door was now open so went to enquire - they were opening at 4pm. Lady said we could select dishes and collect at 4pm if we wished. So we selected a thai chicken salad and chicken satay starter followed by a massaman chicken curry with fried rice, a beef stir fry with holy basil and chilli and jasmine rice and some thai prawn crackers. She said she would just check return time with chef and came back and said they would prepare straight away and would be ready in 15 mins - they were not due to open for another hour! Food was magnificent, good sized portions, great ingredients cooked with skill and great additional touches - the curry was covered in cling film before fastening the container to prevent leakage, three dips to accompany prawn crackers and starter. Wish we lived nearer but will definitely revisit when next in Manchester area.

I never write reviews but I was compelled to write this because Crazy Wendy's is just too good. I haven't been to the restaurant in person (thanks to COVID), but I've ordered from here about four times. Every single time the food is consistently amazing and the value for money is great. I'm veg and it can be hard finding restaurants that don't just offer one or two items that fit my dietary needs, but CW has so many options. My favourite thing on the menu is the Kanampang Kowpod (sweet corn toast), it's a must try for everyone regardless of if you're veg or not!! I will and do recommend this takeaway to everyone!

I lived in Thailand for 7 years so I feel like I am qualified to judge on quality Thai food and this is BY FAR the best and most authentic Thai food you will find in the whole of Manchester. And dare I say, the whole of the UK haha! I have ordered most of their menu now and have been delighted with it all. I have only ever eaten this food as a take away but I will be definitely eating in the restaurant when it reopens. 10/10

We recently ordered a simple Thai dish from Crazy Wendy's for delivery. The staff on the phone were very polite and friendly. The food itself was decent, and quite a large portion for a reasonable price. However, shortly after the meal both me and my wife had a bad stomach which isn't normal for either of us, especially myself. So although the food didn't taste bad, I have to give this restaurant a 1 star review and we will not be ordering from here again.

Only Thai restaurant in Burton Road. Food is good and reasonable price. Please preplan as the music is loud over the weekend if you were planning a quiet night. Wendy nights are good. Unisex toilet is bit awkward. Only on street parking which is a struggle during peak hours.

Went to this place as just seen it walking up the road. Was really impressed by the service and the food. The food was piping hot and well presented and the Thai red curry was amazing. The waitress ( only one there) was lovely and was prompt in taking our orders. We don't live in or near Manchester but if we happen to come here again with work we will definitely come back to eat here.

Disorganised service and sub standard, overpriced food that gave us food poisoning and ruined our weekend. The only draw of this place is it might be fun for a group outing in terms of entertainment but I would stick to drinks only.
