Very nice restaurant, welcoming owner and staff, great selection of meals and a very conducive ambiance. Definitely my go to place for all meals Thai in Manchester.

I had the Thai fried train rice with chicken. The food is exceptionally tasty and very fresh, and the staff is fantastic. The dining experience is very enjoyable, and the overall atmosphere is lovely. Upon asking if the spring rolls have mushrooms, the chef came from the kitchen to speak to us and suggested another dish, money bags (in the photo), which was brilliant, and I am looking forward to having them again. I will definitely be returning here not only for the authentic Thai hospitality but also for authentic Thai food - which might be even tastier than in Thailand. 11 out of 10.

Pleasant place with good halal Thai food

The food didn't really taste like Thai food. The portions were small and were pricey. The chilli basil dish was more like an Indian curry. The dumplings were very bland and the outside was paper thin, no taste. However, the tamarind dish was nice, but the duck was very dry and hard. Food is all halal but they serve alcohol. They don't do Thai red or Tom yum, but they did make me the Tom yum soup upon request.

Fantastic service and ambience. Beautiful restaurant with amazing choice of delicious food and drinks. Highly recommend.

We stumbled across this restaurant and it’s such a fun little gem in Didsbury! We needed a restaurant that could cater for no onion, no garlic and this wasn’t an issue at all— The atmosphere was welcoming and energising with afrobeat music cheering us up, the service was pleasant, polite and swift and the food was delicious with a generous portion size. Thank you— we highly recommend you try this place ☺️

Came here a while ago after wanting something different. I had the sweet and sour chicken which was more sweet than sour and tasted more like a weird dessert. Chicken and veg were very soggy and the texture was not good. Also very expensive for what was served. Waitresses were very lovely however, we could not fault the service.

Absolutely delicious! The only thing taking one star was someone was cleaning with a strong perfume and it kind of took over the delicious aromas from my plate but only for a little while. Food was outstanding!

We came with 4 people for a little birthday meal. The portions were small. 0 in presentation. One meal was in the specials as a main, a salad with fermented fish. It came as a small plate of only some veg without the fermented fish. The owner recognised the wrongness of that and did not charge for it. I had asked for a less spicy version of my meal and it turned out I had the more spicy one. The green chicken curry that the birthday boy had, did not have chicken pieces, they were more like small flakes. All in all not worth the money at all. Would never go there again. Only lovely thing was the little cake and singing for the birthday and staff was friendly enough, as you would expect.

Lots of positives, service was really good, it's smart but casual and comfy. Our starters were decent, the chicken thigh was crisp and spicy, the dumplings were tasty and very nicely presented. The Steak was really nicely cooked, and my green curry was tasty, but it could have been so much better. One of the starters and the steak should have been served on a sizzling plate, both were served on a warm griddle - so whilst both were nice they were a little disappointing. I asked for my curry ro be hotter than the two 🌶 🌶 on the menu, but if anything it came milder rather than hotter. Lastly, the advertised draught wasn't Singha wasn't available, but bottles were. Sadly they just weren't very cold. Would probably try again, with a few tweaks it could have been excellent.

Upon entry We noticed the place was clean and aesthetically pleasing! The customer service was excellent, the staff were friendly, lovely, polite and smiley. The menu had a wide array of options with different selections of meat, chicken, duck, seafood, tofu. Good list of cocktail and mocktail options as well as coffee. We had the chicken dumplings, Pad Thai noodles with chicken and the chilli basil with King prawns. The presentation was perfect and the food was prepared fresh. The flavour was authentically amazing. One of the best Thai places I've been to! Will definitely be returning in the near future to experience the other dishes on the menu!

We booked this place as we were going to a beer festival nearby. The food was unbelievably nice. The service was friendly but perhaps not as attentive as it could be, and they had ran out of all draught beer, but the food (I think it was the tamarind duck) was really good.. so tangy and flavourful. And the atmosphere was chilled out and intimate. I rarely leave reviews but I've actually thought about this meal since eating it.. that alone is worth 5 stars.

The ambience was calm with lovely music in background. Staff were friendly, I didn’t have to wait long for the food and it’s really tastes nice. Wole recommended me to this restaurant and I had a nice time.

Wonderful food, I had Pad Kaprow ordered spicy and was not disappointed .🌶🌶🌶 Good service, lovely setting, was a week night so nice and chill. Chef was awesome with a fantastic smile, popped her head out to say hi which was a nice touch 👋 😀

I liked my main meal, I ordered tamarind duck. I ordered the dumplings for a starter, they didn't come with a dipping sauce. The rice side portion that you have to order separately is very small compared to your main dish and for almost £4 I would expect a bigger portion. I did struggle to decide what to order, the menu descriptions were pretty vague but I'm pleased with what I chose. For the whole experience 2Nakhon loses a star because of the service, we were there for around 3 hours and I only managed to get one drink, as someone who used to work in the hospitality industry it was drummed into us that the money is in the drinks so this really surprised me, they could have easily got a couple of bottle of wines out of our table of 4 but they didn't come and check on us we had to call them over. There was also a mix up with the starter orders, they brought the wrong ones out but one of them happened to be what mh friend ordered and so they left it on the table and we then waited for our dishes to arrive, very confusing! If I lived in the Didsbury I'd probably order take out from here to try the other dishes but with the cost of the mains without any sides starting at £15-16 its quite pricey!

Great food and ambience upstairs. Slight issue on arrival but the owner proactively resolved it and the waiter managed it excellently. Food came and it was surprisingly tasty. Good portions (except maybe the rice) and prices reasonable. Cosy place to come either for a quick meal or a special occasion. Would give 4.5/5 if that was an option but can definitely justify a 5!

Located in the heart of East Didsbury this Thai inspired restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere. It’s incredibly well designed but smaller than the picture appear. No parking but there’s is local street parking. Depending on the time you’ll find some restrictions. Service was really good and friendly. I usually pick pad Thai however chose differently. The presentation of the food was brilliant however there wasn’t much flavour. So overall a 4 star.

Fabulous service, friendly and attentive. Our starters were great but mains maybe lacked seasoning.

First impression was the picture perfect space! Then the really swift service, food craft, and great tasty meals. Just be sure to specify that you want very spicy, medium spicy or no spice. The cocktails were also bomb, had the pina colada and it was ‘real’. I’d go back.

Booked the table and pay for deposit through their website but the restaurant contracted us like 1 or 2 two days before the booking, to change the reservation date but due to the timing we couldn’t make it with the change. We ask for a cancellation and a refund instead but till this day still haven’t received a refund, it’s been months! We tried calling, they never answer and no response through emails also. Such a disappointment that they basically steal £60 from me.

All round, this was a very bad experience. The service couldn’t have been worse - we were given the wrong food, a curry was missed, the wrong wine was served, and we were told a tofu curry was chicken. To top it off, my husband found a hair in his food. We asked to see the manager and there was absolutely no apology and then he only agreed to take the rice off the bill, not the curry. An apology would have gone a long way. This was all a great shame as there was some tasty food amongst the awful service.

Amazing Thai food. We had the chicken pad Thai, tamarind duck and massaman curry. Generous with the meat and all halal. Nion, our waitress was friendly, giving us recommendations and never rushed us. We will definitely be back to try other dishes :)

Came for 30th Bday do, had no idea about this place,so just turned up lol. What a gem of a place catering for Indo-Thai kinda style food. I can say it didn't disappoint.

Had dinner here last week for the first time and it was such a pleasant visit. The staff were all lovely and very attentive and there wasn’t a long wait for drinks or food. It was also good to have the in-house DJ playing music from different genres which catered to all however, the volume could be lowered slightly. The best part was the food!!! Greatly enjoyed the lamb-shank curry which was very flavourful. Will definitely be returning for more!

Really delicious food, packed full of flavour. Decor was great and staff attentive and friendly. The Thai green curry was so good and perfect spice level. The starters of prawn toast and chicken satay were also great choices. The mocktails were nothing to sing home about, so I’d probably go for a regular soft drink next time. I also wanted the Tom yum soup but it was very steep! I know it said for sharing but would be good to have a single portion option!

We stopped yesterday 29.05.23 whilst driving through Didsbury. Best decision we made. The service was fantastic Pina Colada was delicious. The food was was well presented and so full of flavour. Will definitely be calling again.

My first authentic experience of Thai food. Wow. Beautiful depths of flavour. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and unrushed service. With all the choices of places to eat in Didsbury I would highly recommend 2Nakhon.

The ambience was fine, food was ok. Prices are very expensive and the quantity of food for the price is not justified. The quantity is more like nibbles than a main course or an appetiser.

We booked a table but still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. We were seated downstairs where no server was to be seen for another 20 minutes. I went upstairs to place the order at the bar myself. It then took another 40 minutes for starters to arrive. Very slow service. The tables next to us were here before us and were yet to receive their mains an hour after we arrived. We overheard one table complain to say that they had been waiting over an hour and a half for their food. The starters we received were very basic. We left after waiting for over an hour for the mains.

Bad experience. We ordered starters which took 20 minutes to arrive. It was fried calamari. Nothing to write home about. Pretty average. However it took them more than 40 minutes to get us the mains. The wait between starters and mains ruined our experience. Blame is not on the staff tbh, there was one person in kitchen and one server and they were struggling. Had to get mains packed as the wait caused us to age like an angus steak, and our child was hangry. Lo and behold we were given wrong mains after waiting for better part of an hour. Dried out beef thai curry. Cardboard had more moisture than that beef. Definitely will not be visiting again. Waste of time and money. Avoid

Lovely meal, but quite expensive for what it was

Long narrow room is cold and no atmosphere. The food was ok but the service shambolic. With the bill was the now all too common we charged you a deposit for the reservation but forgot to take it off the bill.

We love Thai food and this is one of the best Thai food restaurant in UK. Very authentic food and super friendly staff. Pleased with my lunch experience, we had deep fried prawn (highly recommended), papaya salad( a bit spicy 🥵), Tom yum Koong soup and fried rice (super tasty and just like the one I had in Thailand). A bit shame they don’t have Thai drink or dessert but overall a beautiful place to have food!

Small but amazing cafe style Thai food

Having heard a positive experience about this place, we decided to go here for dinner however we regretted it. We were seated very quickly and our order taken. However we ordered two starters, one nachos and the other calamari. After 30 minutes the “nachos” came, which were actually prawn crackers and not nachos. The calamari followed 20 minutes later after asking four times. The calamari was chewy like a rubber tyre as it was over cooked. It was disgusting. Up till this time no serviettes or cutlery was placed on the table at all. We had to ask for them. We kept on enquiring about the mains as 45 minutes had passed since ordering. 50 minutes after ordering and words later two of the 5 main dishes come out, but minus the noodles that are the accompanying sides. 10 minutes later still no sign of the noodles to go with these dishes and no sign of the other mains. The waitress who took the order is asked again for the umpteenth time where is our order and could she come to the table to explain. She was at the bar counter. She replies that she is looking at our order and do we not want her to sort it out. It was not a way to talk to a customer. Especially when the food is late and is coming in instalments. At this point still no sign of the food and it had been over an hour since we had placed the order. So we walked out. Outside there was another customer who told us he too was experiencing the same service from the restaurant. Ridiculous prices and utter rubbish service!! Go else where and spend your hard earned money where you will be treated well.

Possibly the slowest service we’ve ever experienced! Think it’s likely our order was forgotten from the start. Family of 8 including 2 small children, arrived at 1700 and first to be seated in an empty restaurant. Ordered starters and mains by 1730, by 1900 still no mains and yet multiple tables that arrived and ordered after us had been served. We had to ask multiple times what was going on, to be repeatedly told ‘it’s coming’. Only when we made it clear we wanted to cancel the mains and leave they started bringing random pots of rice out to stall us with no curry/main to go with it! By 1930 we gave up, cancelled the majority of the mains, paid an expensive appetiser and drinks bill and left. The waitress serving us did apologise when we left, but it was a total shambles and there was no apology from management and no explanation as to what had gone wrong. Sadly, do not recommend at all

We had the Pad Thai and Thai green curry with Sticky Rice. It's honestly the nicest Thai food we've had to date and the reason I don't like Wagamamas! It's what Thai food is supposed to taste like 🙏
