Horrible worst cold food ever never ever again and owner answers phone at home with kids and says food is fine how would you no when you ain't there I would not eat out of there if you paid me again and I live in the area be warned

I didn’t got my pilau rice though I paid for it. I’ve called them and their response was so disappointing. They didn’t communicate with me properly. So poor communication, poor service, small portion and cold food. Totally disappointed.

Wow beautiful food came 20 mins early too which is a bonus the driver was so nice too very polite so fresh all of my food pic to prove 💗 new to the area will be ordering again

Disgusting food. Absolute waste of money. Does not even deserve 1 star. The owner waseem is so rude and does not know how to run his takeaway. Please avoid at all costs if you don't want food poisoning. Made me wait 10 minutes just to order food whilst he was swearing at his employee at the back. I don't write reviews normally but the behaviour of this horrible restaurant made me do this. I spoke to the person very nicely asking if they can deliver, but they are so rude that they started shouting and screaming for no reason. WARNING!! Do not order from here, Ordered food on Saturday 25th November 2023. Since eating from this establishment. My partner and I have experienced the most excruciating stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhoea. We had Lamb bhuna and Lamb Rogan Josh. I don’t want the hell they served us but it wasn’t fit for human consumption. I’m absolutely disgusted and disappointed by the whole situation. I have had to miss a day off university because I was so ill and still am. My partner is still throwing up now and now Monday the 27th November 2023. I have made a complaint to Just Eat and the food standard agency because in my honest opinion it needs investigating. Their hygiene standards are appalling especially since this has happened to my partner and I. I’m going to the drs in the Morning because nobody should be feeling the way we do after eating what Urban Spice class as a curry. You ought to be ashamed and believe you me this is not the last you’ve heard from me. Sort out your issues before serving food to the general public. It’s an absolute disgrace that you claim to be a good genuine company providing a service. I am speaking to a solicitor about taking legal action against you!! Kind regards Verona

i ordered a paneer curry and naan bread. the curry was really oily and way too spicy and the naan bread was partly burnt. the food was not delivered by the stated time, the staff at the restaurant was really rude when I called up to check why my food had not been delivered. Will not order from here again.

Ordered on ubereats only for food never to arrive 2 hours later. Best part for me had to be the way they never picked up the phone twice in the span of 30 minutes with the call going straight to voicemail. Cherry on top being that even ubereats themselves couldn't get hold of the restaurant. Truly a masterpiece of rubbish.

I ate half the kebab it was drowned in grease tasted basic and had random bits of FISH in a doner kebab. The piece of cake must have been at least 3 weeks old. I ordered keema rice last night asked for less meat more chilli please make extra hot . They tried to over charge me had to tell them I was there the night before for pizza . The rice has donner meat inside look at the picture I'm horrified. Never will I use this place again . I've been using them for 11 years every time my son is in hospital . Never again . Don't use them there not even halal absolutely shocking

This was our local takeaway. Excellent friendly service! We’ve moved a bit further away now, but still continue to use. We had a family gathering and the owner catered for 12 of us, large curry pot with all the trimmings! For a great price too! Highly recommend!

I went there to have a pizza for my pregnant wife! I asked for 2 pizzas, one without cheese, me being allergic . They said is going to take 20 min , they turned around and continue eating. I stayed there around 10 min they didn’t started to do my pizza … Anyway I asked for my money back and left home without pizza . My wife has taken the car and went there she asked for a pizza and they told her that if she take the responsibility that the pizza is not goi to be burned they will do it , because he never did a pizza without cheese 🫣 He was rude, mean and honestly I don’t find the words to describe his behaviour …. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Ordered food from there, they charge 6gbp for a donner kebab that has more salad on it then actual donner meat and do the same for donner burger at 5gbp and charge 3gbp for 2 pieces of chicken that taste like rubber, about 80% of this meal went straight in the bin, so in short if you want horrible cold food at ridiculous prices go here... otherwise find any other takeaway

Contacted after 40 mins to say they couldn’t process order. I told them I wanted to just cancel and he got rude when he couldn’t convince me to proceed with the order via other channels. Made noises like I was a baby then said that was his kid lol. Some very incompetent men at work here. 3rd time unlucky! Shame on me 😉

I ordered through just eat lamb biryani and two chapatis cost me to £22.95 it come in a small carton with 3 piece of lamb I end up throwing it in the bin what a waste of money what a disappointment

2x times order online to this restaurant. 1st ordered full chicken peri2, but had to cancel it, but I didn't receive my money back. 2nd, order through uber, but no info on apps regarding delivery map and time, because they use their own driver. My order needed more than 1 hour to come (or maybe 1-year) if i didn't call and complaint directly to the restaurant. If you busy, just decline the order, don't make customer disappointed. Tastless fried chicken and calzone. I also lost my appetite to taste the vindaloo. Totally wasting time and unprofessional. Definitely will never order again to this restaurant. For the restaurant owner: Manage your team carefully, if you don't want to lose customer. But keep doing like this is if you want to go bankrupt.

Don't order the prawn Korma. Never seen anything like it in my life, I had to wade through unidentifiable gunk that I have never seen in a Korma before to find the 12 midget prawns and then there was the amount of spice! Guys Korma is mild. To add to this it arrived 15 mins late and was cold. Won't be returning even if it was free

I got a donner burger which was absolutely gorgeous the chips were actually hot and really nice which is rare from takeaways nowadays and omg I haven't even eaten the whole massive peri peri full chicken before u wanted to review this place it's literally my favourite takeaway now and best thing is I only live down the road lol thank u amazing food and don't feel like I wasted my money for the first time in forever

Very hygienic and tasty tandoori/ kebab restaurant. Great meal deals for the price. Primarily a takeaway but plenty of sit-down space available as well. There is free parking available on site. Staff are very polite and service is fast. I'd highly recommend the seekh kebab and lamb chops

Chicken and pizza were cold. Paid extra for onion and mushrooms on pizza get just a bit of them! Driver didn’t bring my order to apartment he said that I have to come downstairs..I was waiting 2h instead of 40min. Not recommended !

We have never had an issue with our order from urban spice however a new driver was hired and didn't do their job properly. Our food was left on the floor outside our porch(sma bugs were found in the box). We called urban spice only to find out that after the driver claimed to have knocked on our door and called us however we never received a call nor did we hear a knock, bare in mind that we were downstairs the whole time. Side note. As much as we'd like to cut the driver some slack, that's not how you handle people's food. And if your job consists of phone usage then you should have your phone charged at all times. There is no excuse. As much as I understand that when I called I sounded extremely angry. The way the owner handled the situation was extremely dismissive and unprofessional instead of taking our concern into consideration, he dismissed it and argued back. If you're looking to order from urban spice, beware the owner is unable to deal with customer complaints properly. All we wanted as customers that were given terrible service was for the owner to raise the issue the driver and apologise. Simple as. I apologise for any spelling mistakes.

Actual food wasn't too bad but menu prices didn't reflect the price he charged me. Charged me 50p extra for a burger on the card machine without telling me, only after confronting him did he offer to give the 50p back. He's done this before, probably thought I wouldn't notice.

We ordered food and waited over an hour for it to get delivered. When it got delivered the delivery driver was holding the pizza and kebabs in a carrier bag with the pizza on its side. The sauce had spilt all over the kebab and pizza box. And the pizza had got squashed and all the toppings had come off as it wasn't held properly. Also the food was freezing by the time it got to us! Absolutely livid. Rang takeaway and they just weren't bothered. Do not waste your money ordering from here. There are so many nicer places to eat in Manchester that deserve your custom!

Boss is a good man who knows customer service well. Staff tried to give me hour old chips but owner came in and prepared the whole order fresh. I had ordered paid and left to come back but was delayed unavoidably. I returned 50mins later but because I had said 5mins, this staff member took it upon himself to try serve me the same food that had been wrapped on the side since then. The owner came in as I was notifying said staff member that I was going to take a photo of the food and post a review. His service was excellent and for that reason, I have given him 5stars. Customer satisfaction and comprehension of my service needs. You do need to train your staff though, that one mans attitude could have destroyed your business ratings! I wouldn’t even feed my child hour old chips.

Disgusting lamb curry I ever had. It took me to wait more than 30 minutes for one curry and two naan. The guy over the counter was rude and shouting over the phone to someone else. The lamb smells like kept in freezude more than a month. Meat was very hard and gravy tastelss.

Rude staff that lie to your face. Don't bother calling or ordering online, they won't make it till you go in person. They then make you wait forever. Food is not great either.

The best ever tastey food no joke Alhamdulillah the driver was soo sweet god bless his generous soul. Well done guys keep up the hard work all the best!

1st impression was they seemed friendly. But after ordering 2 chickens for 2.5£ without discussing the chicken parts type, I got only 1 breast and 1 drumstick. Whats worse was the chicken was only cooked half done with plenty red colors of the meat. Sorry if the pics are disturbing.

The Naan bread was delicious and the rice was quite nice. I called to ask for my dish not spicy and as soon as I saw it I could see a million chilli seeds. So did not enjoy. I also had to call twice.the first time they said on route and then 20 mins later he said he was leaving now. The second time I got hung up on. Would not recommend due to service and not listening to my heat requirement.

My husband ordered food for us and my daughter, first they went to the wrong address, then when I get my kebab, the Nana bread was stuck to the paper which I had to pull the Nana off which left a hole and then they have put salad on both our Donner kebabs, I've normally had a good service, I'm so disappointed with this order

Got a lamb buna from here which was nice at the time but for the next 3 days i have had sickness from it.

Although a good meal. Was not exactly as ordered I ordered a large Kobeda kebab and got a standard. Service was a bit slow but kebab ok.

This has to be the most disappointing takeaway I’ve ever had- my curry was just chicken swimming in grease and everything was covered in grease. I ate less an a quarter of my meal and I had a terrible bellyache afterwards!

I went in this evening for popadoms, kobeda kebab on naan and chips. The total of the bill should have been £6.50. However he charged me £8. I feel sorry for losers like this place because they underestimate and think so little of the general public. I did question the price so he gave me a breakdown. He advised, the kobeda kebab and naan are 2 separate items so kobeda is £4 and an extra for the naan (this was not the case on the menu) And stated the chips as large even though his employee stated he should use a small box he went ahead to use the big box and it was half full! Don't steal from your customers because they are the reason you have a business. The regular customers are the ones that will make you a successful business by stealing or overcharging you would have lost a customer. Earn an honest days living!

Literally Robbed Paid online, food never arrived and had to call to find out. Delivery Driver failed to find our address and failed to contact us to find the correct address. After an hour wait we had to contact to them to find out our food is at the restaurant waiting (2 miles away) and we have no car as visiting Manchester. Staff in the phone were Angry and abusive, won’t be getting any money back. Goodbye to £20. I’d recommend anyone interested in buying food from this Takeaway to look elsewhere

I was disappointed by the quality of the doner meat and chicken donner mix kebab..the meat was very dried out and chewy ...sadly did not taste fresh at all. Especially when priced at 6.80 which is relatively expensive for a donner kebab, I would expect better quality meat. The plastic cutlery was flimsy too and all three of the forks I used broke into my food ...

Twice I have been in here and have been made to wait with no service from the staff, we are talking like about ten minutes, with no other customers in the building. They just left me stood around twiddling my thumbs for ten plus minutes so I walked Once ordered a Vegetable Biriyani, only to get back home and to discover that it was quite frankly unpalatable. My body just couldn't digest it, it made me feel sick, ALL FRM JUST EATING ABOUT ONE QUARTER OF THE TOTAL MEAL. Apparently their Pizzas and Burgers are okay, but personally I would avoid this place like the plague.

This is a great takeaway, excellent customer services and my children love the occasional takeaway and say these do the best chicken burgers ever. The food is quality hence why people are complaining about the time it takes to prepare.

Ordered around 7:30pm on a Tuesday, was told delivery would be around 8:45 thought that was late but oh well. Food didnt arrive on time so called at 8:45 told it would arrive in 15 mins. Another half hour later I called and was told they had made an error so had only just left and would be another 10 mins. 10 mins later the food arrived and it was lukewarm, the chicken tikka kebab was chewy and bad quality, and there were no poppadoms as ordered! (despite the inclusion of around 6 tubs of chilli dip). I called the restaurant and they advised someone would come back out with the poppadoms, and these never arrived! This restaurant is under new ownership and i would have recommended them as a takeaway before, now I would definitely say to steer clear. They did send out a slice of warm shop bought chocolate cake, just a shame they couldn't be bothered to complete the actual order.

It's a new restaurant. The service is good, and the food is also good to go with it. It nice and cosy inside. Some nice music was playing while I was in there. You can only pay by card starting at £5.

It's like any other standard restaurant/takeaway. It is well priced, I got the Donna in the picture for about 3-4 pounds. Only reason for 3 is the chilli sauce was not very nice. And chilli sauce is very important as well all know. Feel free to drop this review a like 😁

Living near the Victoria Baths, Urban Spice is the nearest eatery joint. I had tried some Indian dishes from this place and they were delicious, and moderately priced. A muddy try place.

Just went to urban spice randomly, have found amazing and delicious food, value of money food . Very nice highly recommended..! Must try
