Manager yet to apologise to us residents for their builders causing damage to our property and inconvenience with their building work. So much for supporting your community and neighbours! 🤡

It was going to be a 2. However the server who brought me the baked eggs from the kitchen was lovely, she bothered to say ‘good morning ‘ like she meant it. Invest in her she deserves every success in life! The server behind the counter also could be invested in - he mumbled, when I ordered he turned his back on me to ask colleagues if you were doing baked eggs without explaining. Not great for what is an expensive breakfast! My coffee was Luke warm - not stunning for £11. Eggs were nice but your mark up must be amazing. As a chain being cashless isn’t putting the customer first!

Since arriving in London we have came here everyday. Whether it be for coffee or savoury sweet treats. Loved the blueberry muffin the onion quiche the croissant the friand and of course the tea and coffee. It will be our go to for the next 5 days

Although the quality all products is usually very good, in this Shop shop they don't warm food which is supposed to be eaten hot otherwise. The ham and melted cheese croissant which usually is delightful when it's warm and I use to enjoy in other Gail's bakeries , just turns into a chewy uninspiring bite. The egg and spinach slice which is like an omelette turns into a very unsavoury snack when eaten cold. The coffee and sweet treats are good, it is a shame the cold savoury food turns it down, particularly in this autumn weather.

Having passed this branch of Gail’s and had a less than perfect experience at their Bankside branch, we tentatively went in for breakfast. We shouldn’t have thought twice! Much better service than Bankside. Delicious Latte at the perfect drinking temperature, excellent toast and pastries. Hubby was delighted with his ham and cheese croissant. Lovely friendly staff who seemed to work as a real team. We ended up repeating the experience for breakfast a couple of days later. Thanks!

AMAZING SERVICE!! RACHEL, the manager was a live saver! My team and I had a commercial shooting with a celebrity, early in the morning and they wanted an assortment of Gail's sandwiches and cakes. It needed to be picked up just when they open, at 7am. I called them the day before and Rachel , the manager, was amazing, advising what could be prepared for us first thing in the morning, and helping me designing the "menu" . Her advice was priceless, and she made sure all was ready even before 7! The celebrity in question loved it!!! I can't thank Rachel and her team enough for the great job they did!

The food here is excellent and the coffee's pretty good too. But I have a niggle. Went in with a couple of friends to order some baked items and coffee. Were told to take a seat while the coffees were prepared, so we sat outside. A few minutes later, one of the staff came outside to tell us the coffees were ready. Could she not have brought them out to us? She made the effort to walk out from behind the counter and come outside, so why not stick the coffees on a tray and bring them out. it wouldn't have hurt her. But no. That would've involved an element of actual service. This highlights a major problem with the UK hospitality business. 'Service' is discouraged. It's not just this place. It's everywhere. There's an almost pathological antipathy to the notion of service. Customers have to stand and queue, and wait, and be grateful that they can spend their money.

Fab cafe with delicious food. The bakes were superb, shame the menu doesn’t have a little more choice. Would definitely visit again.

Stopped by at Gail's on the way to Borough Market (not open yet) on a Sunday Morning. Decided to come here for a light breakfast snack and coffee. The staff was very friend and helpful, describing everything I had asked about. You pick up your food/drinks at the counter when ready after ordering. I ordered a LATTE with DARK SOURDOUGH served with jam and clotted cream. Delicious, fresh baked sourdough. Besides them telling me different flours used for the light and dark sourdough, honestly don't know what else is the difference. Was delicious nonetheless. Each item is prepared meticulously by the two people in the back of the restaurant. The MINI SMOKED SALMON & AVOCADO YOGHURT looked delicious. Friend had ordered it and said it was really tasty. In hindsight, should've got one myself. The CHEESE STRAW was savory and flaky. Delicious as well. Although the baked goods and drinks are good, it seemed kind of pricey at £31 for 4 drinks and 3 food items.

We stumbled on this bakery on the morning we were leaving, it's an absolute gem. We both ordered the baked eggs with sourdough toast, and i had a side of avocado salsa, and a latte each. It was a bit pricey at £24 but the simplicity of the well cooked meal was well worth it. Would definitely go back again.

Lovely bakery, sure a bright spot compared to other coffee shops on the street. Just had takeaway croissants and muffins.

I used to go to the one in Richmond and always enjoyed it. I tried this one a while ago with my Mum and Dad and we were left very disappointed. I'm sorry to say.

I ordered a ham and cheese croissant, which had been already cooked. It was luke warm because they had sat there for who knows how long. For some reason they are not cooked for you as in most outlets. I cannot stand food which is supposed to be hot served cold!

Went in for a light breakfast, ordered baked eggs and bacon all came to £11.70. I sat at a table and was disappointed that the surface was dirty with what looked like drink stains. Food arrived and I will say I was disappointed. I thought it was pretty tasteless. I expect prices in London to be more but I still expect the basics like cleanliness. I will not be back again.

Found our breakfast paradise. Amazing selection of savoury and sweet bakery options, pastries and baked eggs. Good coffee. Clean and simple. Very polite helpful friendly staff. I hope Gail’s open branches ’up North’.

Popped in for a bite to eat and to do some remote working. First visit to this branch and very pleasantly surprised. As always, the prices are expensive for what you get but the quality is great and the staff at this branch were very friendly. I recommend this branch and would definitely return.

Another great Gail’s in London. Excellent food, a little pricey but you get what you pay for - the quality is amazing. Staff are very friendly. They now do an egg soufflé, cheese and spinach slider for breakfast which is to die for and worth a mention! £5 but absolutely delightful. Great spot for coffee or lunch in Waterloo.

Rude staff. Pint was flat and asked to change it to something else and the guy just poured it into another glass and said “it’s no flat”. So much attitude. Will not be going back here
