Fantasia in Lambeth

I absolutely love this place. My friend and I use to come here when we went to college nearby and the first day we came we made friends with them. They are absolutely lovely and always so welcoming. Their food and drinks are great and the atmosphere is so lovely. I came here again today after 2 years and it was still the same as I remember. They never fail to make you feel welcomed and always put a smile on our faces. Really recommend!!

Wonderful place with a calm atmosphere. Great food, the fish melted on the tongue and the chips were crisp, yet soft on the inside.

Cozy and familiar place, although it seemed rather anonymous it pleasantly surprised us! Generous portions and good pasta even for an Italian! Very quiet and without confusion. The food is really good! Highly recommended

The nicest food we had during our stay in London, the restaurant itself is beautiful, the staff were amazing and the food was perfection. If you go definitely order the fantasia special chicken dish!

It was incredible. Had two margaritas and a cheeseburger and the place is a little haven decorated like a real fantasia. Staff were so kind and friendly. Very accommodating. As an American I love my Fantasia vibes. The owners are Iraqi and were very versed in Ancient Babylonian culture and Iraqi history. We even discussed Nineveh and visiting there! Definitely a North Star experience, and reminiscent of happy childhood memories. 💗

Good service, good food, really nice service!

Very disappointing. Run down, very very dirty like the tables hadn't even been wiped down fron the night previously and food was vastly overpriced ( £82 for steak and a handful of chips x2 ) 2 cans of coke and 1 alcoholic drink. Come home to a stomach ache now. I won't be returning and don't know anyone in the right mind that would. I should have walked out when I saw how dirty it was but thought maybe the food would make up for it..... i was very wrong. Edit in response from the owner - clean you say? Your toilet was filthy and quite literally falling apart! The windows where so dirty you could hardly see through them and the tables where sticky ( employ a cleaner ) or sack your current one. Also you say the prices where on the menu, yes this is true but I was expecting an adult portion not a 2 years old child's. I also was not expecting a stomach ache after ( I noticed how you choose to ignore that part ). Yes we didn't complain as we wanted out of that absolute dump ASAP!! Thanks we did enjoy our anniversary..... we laughed at how badly we where tricked into thinking this was a nice place going by your very outdated photos..... anything else to say or would you like me to carry on as I've got more!

The portions what unbelievable, extremely small and overprice.

Extremely disappointed with the portion sizes at this restaurant. Despite the enticing pictures, the reality was a letdown. They served us kid’s menu portion sizes and insisted it was standard. The lamb kebab was minuscule, and the burger was laughably small, more like a McDonald's cheeseburger. Prices definitely did not match the dish. When we raised our concerns, the staff's response was disrespectful and unprofessional. Won't be returning.

I chose to eat here whilst working in the area. I thought £16.95 for fish and chips was a bit steep, but I assumed these are London prices. Until it turned up; a fish no bigger than a chicken nugget and 9 solitary chips, with a tiny portion of rice. I was appalled. The order was discounted, but I would walk past next time and would suggest anyone else does the same. When I raised my concerns, I got the "we're a family buisness" and "thats all our supplier has." spiel, but 1. in the North West, family businesses are competitively priced and 2. Change your supplier, simple.

Friendly staff, excellent food, top location. Best place to eat in London so far. I would happily stay here again. Too bad we're going back to Italy tomorrow. Go there!👋😋🇮🇹

Tourist trap!!! Bad taste, small portions. Hamburger totally dry. Afterwards we had to go to McDonalds.

Food tastes great and was brought out very quickly. The pricing was also very decent. The staff was friendly, greeting us at the door with a smile. I'm going again, and will recommend. Got in late and these guys were open until 1:30am! Super friendly staff, great conversation as I was the only one there that late at night. Food was fresh, delicious, and good portions. Highly recommend if your on Praed street:)

Erst wunderten wir uns, weil Lokal komplett leer war. Das bestellte Fleisch war ohne Beilagen, auf offener Flamme stark gegrillt, fast scharz. Auf der Rechnung war zum Preis noch eine Sevicepauschale (glaube 10%?) draufgerechnet. Spätere Gäste tranken nur was. Ich denke, hier geht keiner ein zweites Mal hin.

This was hands down my best experience in London. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was superb. They are super friendly and kind! I had the kabobs with homemade tzatziki sauce and it was incredible. My daughter had pasta and she also said it was the best food she had eaten while in London. Wonderful atmosphere and beautiful building. Would definitely recommend this place!!!

Locale molto accogliente e proprietari gentilissimi e molto alla mano. Cibo ottimo sopratutto per le chicken nuggets, e i panini veramente ottimi!! Se siete nella zona vi consiglio di farci un salto.

The menu made the food sound homemade (and it certainly should be for the price tag) but when it arrived it was a really small portion and cheap, frozen items. I could have made the same dinner for a couple of quid from Iceland. So many better places to eat in this area with fresh ingredients for a much more reasonable price. The server was polite and friendly.

Excellent food and service. The creamy penne alla vodka with chicken and grilled wings were divine. I’ll definitely be back!

Had the lamb shank … OMG incredible. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes . Nice staff and quality food for a decent price .

First off this is definitely not a Greek restaurant. This is a disgrace to Greece & their food. Would not recommend and would not return the menu is dismal what greek restaurant serves pasta and the portions of food is disgraceful for the price. However the mixed kebab was nice just not enough. Also they cleared the table whilst others were still eating.

Omar was outstanding. Great service and great food. Was seated right away and we ordered a bottle of wine and the Calamari. Then my wife orders the grilled salmon and I had the mixed grill. Our food came out in a timely fashion and was excellent quality. I opted for baclava for dessert, and it was some of the best I have ever had. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

I ordered a mixed kabab. The waiting time was about 15 minutes. The food portion is too small compared to the price. The food was normal, not bad or good. The people were friendly. In case they said my plate was empty, I was raised to never waste food.

Ich habe dieses Kleinod an meinem ersten Urlaubstag während eines Spaziergangs entdeckt und schnell in mein Herz geschlossen. Es wurde während meines gesamten, zehntägigen Aufenthalts zu meiner festen Frühstücksadresse.Gegessen habe ich meist Full English Breakfast double (5. Foto) oder single (die kleinere Variante) und Eggs Royal (1. Foto). Dazu habe ich ganz klassisch Breakfast Tee oder heiße Schokolade getrunken. Geschmeckt hat alles wunderbar, jedoch sollte man sich nicht täglich derart kalorienreich ernähren. Aber im Urlaub geht das schonmal! Mit 8,95£ war das Frühstück 1,95£ teurer als das Pendant zu dem im Hotel dargebotenen Angebot, dafür jedoch deutlich besser und in einem angenehmeren Ambiente. Letzteres ist sauber und einfach gehalten, aber darin liegt ja auch der Charme eines solchen Ortes.In bester Erinnerung ist mir die nette Bedienung geblieben. Ich wurde ab dem zweiten Besuch wiedererkannt und freundlich empfangen. Ebenso merkte sich der nette Herr meine Essgewohnheiten und erkundigte sich wenn ich mal etwas Anderes bestellte, steht's nach meiner Meinung. Ein Indiz für gutes Essen ist ja die Präsenz von Einheimischen und das ist an diesem Ort der Fall, wobei der Großteil der Kundinnen und Kunden das Essen zum mitnehmen bestellten. Es hat eben nicht jeder so viel Zeit.Insgesamt gibt es von mir eine klare Empfehlung und ich werde definitiv, sollte ich erneut nach London kommen und in dieser Gegend wohnen, erneut dort einkehren.

Just had breakfast at this place, not only was the food average but the waiter/ owner was extremely rude to use. Far better places to visit in Old Town

Estábamos visitando una propiedad de National Trust en el área y tuvimos un brunch aquí. Lo seleccionamos en función de la elección del menú y la relación calidad-precio. Cuando llegamos, todas las mesas exteriores estaban ocupadas, pero había espacio en la habitación interior inferior. Esta habitación resultó ser muy ruidosa debido a una gran fiesta que llegó después de nosotros. La habitación podría hacer algo para amortiguar el ruido, ya que realmente no se podía tener una conversación sin gritar. Nos saludaron y nos dieron menús muy rápidamente, pero el servicio resultó ser muy lento; fue 30 minutos después de llegar cuando nuestra comida llegó con otras mesas que habían llegado después de que nos sirvieran primero, casi como si fuéramos invisibles en la esquina. Hay una buena selección de menú que incluye opciones para vegetarianos. Todos elegimos el desayuno todo el día; Tuve la opción vegetariana. Desafortunadamente, algunos de los artículos en mi plato estaban fríos al llegar y otros estaban tibios. Esto se abordó de manera rápida y profesional con mi comida calentada en el microondas (?). Cuando se devolvió el plato, todos los artículos estaban a la temperatura esperada y la comida era deliciosa y con una buena relación calidad-precio. Pagamos con tarjeta. Volveríamos si volviéramos a encontrarnos en la zona, pero intentaríamos conseguir una mesa en la habitación superior interior, donde parecía mucho más tranquila. En cuanto a la calificación, es ciertamente superior a "promedio" pero no "muy bueno". Le daríamos una calificación de "buena" si hubiera una.

Mediocre, ok precio. Realmente molesto que no se lleva la tarjeta y realmente no nos sentimos bienvenidos, más que fue un inconveniente para ellos estar allí.Si no hubiera llevado a mis amigos allí, probablemente hubiera sugerido que nos fuéramos.Las clases de hospitalidad definitivamente se requieren y quizás emplean a un chef que cocina bien la comida. Yo diría que obtienes lo que pagas, pero ni siquiera era tan barato.Sintió náuseas el resto del día, al igual que todos los demás en nuestro grupo.¡Evitar!

Vinimos aquí para el brunch, esta es nuestra segunda visita y ahora hay aún más opciones veganas en el menú. Nos sentamos afuera y tenía el salmón y huevos revueltos y los huevos con café de filtro y Royale zumo de naranjasuministraron nuestros perros un tazón de agua que estaban muy agradecidos.Comida realmente encantador, el personal necesario para conseguir un movimiento! No había mucha gente allí, incluso, así que no estoy seguro de qué la lentitud.Sin embargo, excelente comida!

Me complace oír que Fantasia ha reabierto. Ha dado un aspecto fresco y cambien el menú. Misma relación calidad-precio y fiable brunch aunque un poco más de variedad ahora y los ingredientes frescos (un poco menos de adherente boliche que antes). Muy sabrosa y buena relación calidad-precio el zumo de naranja recién exprimido. El servicio fue rápido y muy amable y es un gran lugar para sentarse afuera en un día soleado. Me sorprende que no estaba lleno en un domingo por la mañana y esperar que sólo va a aumentar en popularidad ahora.

Amazing selection of food with vegan &vegetarian options. Nice and friendly personnel. Great brunch spot with a variety of freshly made drinks. I would recommend it and, if you fancy a dessert, go for the chocolate vegan cake, it is the best!

Went here on my lunch break with my colleagues and really liked the food. Ordered the vegan English breakfast which was really tasty. Can see myself going here more often for lunch especially as they have a large selection of menu choices to pick from.

Vegan friendly cafe in a cool location. Good food, coffee and a refreshing atmosphere! New manager is nice, friendly and funny and cactus is the back is cute. Would definitely visit here time and time again!

Gran café en Clapham Common Old Town. Tuvimos una agradable charla con el nuevo director, quien recomienda un par de platos del nuevo menú de desayuno. Buen tamaño de las porciones y muy bien de precio, especialmente para Clapham! Volveremos para disfrutar de la agradable estar al aire libre este verano.

Me repetirá este fin de Fantasia café ya que desde su renovación. reabierto La nueva decoración es encantadora, limpia, moderna y acogedora. Es un gran ambiente!

Me uní a algunos amigos en el Fantasia para comer hace un par de días. Y ME reacio tan pronto como entré.

Ordered 2 chicken burger and chips and 2 coffees. Neither meal was finished. One bite taken out of burger leaving me screaming for mercy, chicken was cold with ice running through the middle. At this point ate chips. To my annoyance it was like eating leather with nothing in the middle. As for the coffee....like dishwater. No response from waitress when complained. Asked customer sitting opposite what he felt, received two grunts and a nod of the head.

Fantastic value, good food, friendly staff. Great for breakfast or a quick lunch. Not open in the evenings.

Almorcé aquí con la familia como una rápida parada y el lugar no estaba muy lleno. Camarera parecía que ella no quería estar allí, no tienen nada que pedimos; baguettes, etc., así que tuvimos que cambiar nuestros pedidos. Fui allí con mi pareja para un brunch, en un domingo soleado. Es un gran lugar para disfrutar el sol, y lo elegimos porque eso. No esperábamos para comer el mejor florentino huevos jamás, pero algunos decente que sí, estás en Clapham, con sus precios, de todos modos.

El personal es absolutamente prisa a sus pies. Café está situado en una preciosa calle en Clapham y tienen un montón de mesas al aire libre. Desayuno Durante todo el día se sirve, el personal no recoger las mesas, así que sólo llegar y sentarse en una mesa sucia ir a buscar a alguien para limpiar. Las camareras no volver a tomar tu orden nuevo, tienes que encontrar a alguien Grand. La comida es buena, aunque si su feliz que esperar 1 hora de sala para ser servido, entonces no te decepcionará. Cuando quieres pagar tienes que ir a las camareras dentro. Mala gerencia! Lo siento por el personal.

Fuimos para el brunch esta mañana y habíamos oído que esto era bueno. Sin embargo la comida era muy pobre, mi amigo y yo tuvimos huevos Benedict y no es uno de los cuatro huevos era suave. Me podría haber hecho mejor yo! El jamón...

He visitado Fantasia dos veces. La primera vez, pensé que los fritos era decente, así que probé el café, pero esta vez ojalá no lo hubiera hecho. Mi pareja me di cuenta de que su taza estaba sucia y cuando informó a la camarera, ella...

I went for brunch here with a friend in November 2014 - We both found the food average and the whole atmosphere was quite busy and manic. If you're looking for an affordable greasy fry up then Fantasia could be your fav new place.. For us, we were indifferent to what it had to offer. It's a shame, as it's placed so centrally in Clapham!

I have been coming to Fantasia at least twice a week for a while as I work around the corner. They do a good English breakfast, jacket potato, burger and curry, I'm never disappointed when I come here. I've never had any problems with the service and find the waitresses friendly. I have also ordered catering from here a number of times and it's always been spot on. Good place for brunch on the weekends but very busy!!

Despite having a good aspect for a sunny day, this place is let down by some of the staff and the food. We ordered sandwiches and were hugely disappointed with the processed chicken and completely lacklustre content. The breakfasts that came past us looked alright but ours were really poor. The waitress 'serving' us was dreadful unfortunately, and seemed like she would rather have been anywhere than at Fantasia. Really disappointing meal, both content and service. Won't be returning.

My mum and I went for lunch on a sunny London day. We sat outside and waited for about 10min before deciding to walk indoors and ask for a menu. The lady behind the counter (maybe the owner) was friendly and provided me of 2 menus and promised me a waiter would take our orders asap. I had a spaghetti bolognese and my mum had a salad with brie, which was very nice and fresh. BUT ... the service (female waitress) was really bad and very(!!) unfriendly. This place has a nice little terrace and the food we had was great, but the service is really horrible so I'll never go back here again!

This was overall a disappointing experience, as the serving team were unable to provide dependable information - or food - for a substantial period. It was a beautiful, bright midwinter Sunday, so the restaurant should not have been surprised by the arrival of many brunch customers. It took over half an hour for the team to produce two (excellent quality) cups of coffee. And when the food (eggs benedict and smoked haddock benedict) finally arrived, it was tepid, and some was overcooked, contrary to our instructions. It really would not require too much effort to train the personable and pleasant waiting team into an effective delivery unit. They simply need better organisation and information, and closer coordination with the kitchen. Today's experience was sub-standard, and improvements are urgently needed. A reservation system would probably help, and also adoption of a policy of proactive dealing with the clients.
