Excellent local pub with friendly staff and electronic darts area upstairs and good selection of drinks. A great place to catch up with friends

Used to be a massive Irish boozer now very much aimed at Clapham based young professionals types . Quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Friendly service. Lots of replica metal signs, stripped wood, TV's etc. usual range of beers with exotic names. Fine for a quick pint.

Been to The Alex a few times and always feel welcome. Lovely staff and good vibes all around :)

Great atmosphere, great service !

Really enjoy visiting the Alexandra. On a hot day it’s lovely and cool inside, they stock my favourite beer (Jubel) and there are loads of corners to tuck away into. My go-to pick when I’m in the area and craving a pint

What an experience it was in here when watching the Euros and who'd have thought it, England actually won a game! 😅 A good selection of beers.

I like the Alex. Probably the best pub in the city centre. Pints always fresh, plenty of space, outside is erm, outside, nothing special but plenty of spaces to sit, including under a shelter too.

Just popped in out of the sun for a swift pint. The pub was empty, so the service was fast.

Arrived ten minutes after the time our table was booked for - with our friends having arrived at the table on time - to find that the table had been given away and got shouted at by the bouncer when we asked to be let in Don't think I'll be coming back

Love this place! Staff are class, pints are class, show all the sport you could want! Barman Joey is a legend.

I had one bad experience here but they were extremely busy. On the whole I find the staff courteous and pleasant to deal with and a marvelous atmosphere . It's quite an historic place with alot of history . Pleasant decor , and you must watch football here the atmosphere is overwhelmingly fantastic . I've been coming here since I was young and I recommend it highly . Great for families and parties of people , or even if your on your own. A great asset to the community of clapham . Please give it a try , you will not be disappointed at all . Keith Anthony

Lovely wooden features in this traditional feeling pub.

A solid pub for a beer or 6 and a pizza or two, football, music, clapham common station. Roll down to the tube if you need to. Always have good pints on the tap and good Zero options.

Stopped in on chance. Great service and prices too. Dart boards up stairs. Staff are awesome.

Fabulous find. A glorious looking massive pub with great beers on and impressive quirky decor. You can watch sports too as they have massive tellys. But it's subtle. What a top place to watch football or rugby. They serve pizzas too and they are simple and delishous. Highly recommend

Went for a pint and was met with such hospitable staff. Joey and Ash need a raise for sure! They recommended me a pizza and it was truly some quality scran.

Cavernous Victorian boozer with robust unadorned wooden interior features a junkshop of metal advertising signs, farming discards an assorted vintage jetsam as backdrop to the battery of sports screens. An unabashedly laddish environment with leg space to spare and a swagger of beer on offer. Perhaps mildly case-hardened, but brimming with confidence and with character to spare.

Sometimes pretty busy almost clubby vibes sometimes 5 old men sitting in there watching tv. It’s decent local place. Not cheap drinks but it could get a lot more expensive in the area

Best traditional pub in Clapham in my opinion. Good selection of drinks, plenty of screens for any sporting occasion and a really cosy atmosphere. Also better value than a lot of pubs in the area.

A couple of weeks ago I came in with a couple of friends, we didn’t know what rang of alcohol they had so this bartender(I forgot her name) brown hair and I think she was a supervisor as we was having a friendly chat. She was helping me and my friends out with what alcohol we wanted, what she recommended and helped us out so much. Couldn’t thank her enough with her help, she was so friendly and patient. Honestly 10/10 for her.

Darts you have to pay £20 to play on a Thursday. What a rip off

Very unique interior and great atmosphere, although gets very rowdy, loud, and crowded quickly. Visited on a Saturday and it was definitely busy, but maybe to he expected for a Saturday evening. Staff does not use all available bar area to take orders. Would recommend a visit.

Friendly pub on the corner of the common and was a good place to spend time with 4 friends. Varied selection of drinks, and they serve Brixton brewery beer. Staff were polite and attentive, and the pub had a good atmosphere and was clean. Only 4 stars as the food menu was limited to pizza only. They looked nice from what we saw, but some of the group, including myself, fancied something else and needed to go to another venue to eat, which was the only disappointment. Would certianly visit again.

As long as the music is not blasting or there isn't a game on it's a lovely pub! Nice beer selection, friendly and polite staff. It's a lovely place to meet friends during the week as it's packed during the weekend!

Jaded and Trey made our night on Thursday 11 May! They were polite and efficient behind the bar, but more importantly they were friendly to everyone and made the entire night good fun with their (seemingly endless and clearly practiced) dance moves

I have been going here for the past 6 years, every Saturday as a post football routine. The staff is very friendly, the ambience is so vintage and cozy it feels like a warm cabin in winter. Not to mention the Darts boards on the floor above is simply fantastic.
