This is a really great spot in Beaconsfield, perfect & fresh cakes and bakes, and even better coffee. Nice friendly staff and plenty of options for seating; highly recommend.

Waiting ages to get served. Staff look like they don’t want to be there and never have the food on menu. Waited for ever for a coffee and “chef” never seems to be around (especially after 2.15).

Stopped off for brunch after shopping in Beaconsfield. A must visit. A different kind of selection of savoury & sweet pastries, sandwiches, quiches, muffins & tarts etc. High end, but justified. Great selection. Had flat whites to accompany our herby sausage roll, Parmesan chicken roll & a ham, leek & cheese quiche, which were all delicious. We also ordered a goey chocolate cookie, which was a delight. Plenty of other choices of cake, which we will be trying on our next visit! Handful of outdoor seats & tables available, as well as indoor seating. Friendly & efficient staff. On street parking if you can get it, otherwise a pay as you display car park 3 or 4 mins walk away.

I met a friend here for tea one morning. Disappointed to find they are cashless. Unfortunately my friend was already seated with her coffee, so I had no choice but to use my card. I will not be returning as I do not support businesses that take your choice of payment away from you

1st time visitors to Gail's Bakery, and we won't bother returning. The produce on offer looks quite appealing, although TINY portions for the price. Miniature rolls with avocado filling approx £3.50, a slice of sausage roll was nearly £5 etc. to eat in. But the biggest turn-off, by far, unfortunately was the disinterested nature of the staff and the whole messy environment of the dining area. There was no-one visible clearing any tables, so trays and finished lunches/plates/cups were just cluttering up every table and available surface in sight. The (one) communal toilet was no better. Do the Owners/Management actually visit this establishment and take notice of what their customers are experiencing? If so, then they need a wake-up call, and pay out for more staff, because the current arrangement just isn't working.

Went out with friends on Sunday afternoon. Excellent food, great service and great outdoor sitting for a sunny day. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you guys.

Visited Bertram’s today with my friend for a light lunch. We both had tea and the most delicious Polish apple cake and custard. The garden centre is lovely but I’d visit again just for the pie!

We went for food at the pub. The venue itself is stunning, beautifully designed, and on a sunny day like today, the courtyard area is perfect for dining outdoors. The staff were very welcoming, and our waitress, gave some lovely recommendations. Our starters arrived promptly and were tasty. However, as a table of ten, we experienced a significant wait for our main courses—around 45 minutes—which became quite noticeable. When the food finally arrived, it looked well-presented, but unfortunately, the beef was undercooked and served on a cold plate. The beef was very fatty and looked ugly on the plate. One dish had to be returned as it was too raw to eat. The side of greens came in a small bowl filled with water, which was unnecessary. The chicken on a friends plate was dry. The Yorkshire pudding with the main was excellent—crispy, light, and very well done. It’s a real shame, as this is a lovely venue. With some improvements to service and more attention to food preparation—it could be exceptional. There seem to be a lack of senior staff to oversee the restaurant service.

Myself and my boyfriend came here for our 2nd anniversary, and it did not disappoint! However, be aware that they stop serving food at 9pm (we found this out when we arrived at around half 8, so we had to order fairly quickly, but we knew what we were going to have regardless as we've been to a Browns before) Food was amazing. We had the salt and pepper squid, and x2 steaks. The steaks from Browns are the best I've ever had, and the squid was delicious. Staff were very friendly too. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a more upmarket dining experience

Large cafe unfortunately feels more like train station waiting area instead of cozy cafe. Drinks are nice. Costa quality.
