Display looked interesting and appetising, but very over priced, and in fact I bought no food. My extra hot flat white was served in a cup with no handle, truly a daft idea, and the manager agreed. By the time I decanted it into a handled beaker it was no longer hot. Operationally, lacking in many areas, including refusing to take cash, which is legal tender. My first and last visit to a Gail’s. Simply over rated

Great coffee, great staff, fantastic bread. Thank you! I do not usually write reviews but I did feel that on this occasion I should show my appreciation for all things nice...

Basic place to have coffee. Staff not friendly or hospitable. Limited choice of bakes & cakes. Very little atmosphere and uncomfortable seating.

Having been a long time Gail's customer, my recent experience at Gail's Gerrards Cross branch was below average and sub par. Coffee standards are not as they used to be, and the food was cold and average at best. I noticed that a lot of the staff that used to make my visits a very pleasant experience are no longer there. Over my time visiting the bakery and my most recent visit, I noticed the manager (whose name I believe to be Bruna) was incredibly rude towards customers and her own staff, creating a very hostile atmosphere. A personality like this should not be working in hospitality. For the price customers pay, I expect a much better service. Will be visiting another bakery from now on.

GX branch is more likely the only one where they let you queuing when coming in to collect the order even if is clearly advertised (pop in and skip the queue) Poorly organised...

Such a great range of products and brilliant service but the best is surely Jamie. She makes great coffee and is always there with a smile and friendly attitude. It means a lot to be greeted like this and it’s rare. Great place!

Was sent a free cake voucher online, and although it was not initially accepted, the young gentleman decided to still accept the voucher, with great customer service and politeness (despite my initial grumpiness). The staff are always friendly, the drinks and cakes are fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is always perfect. Thanks so much.

My first time at Gail’s in GX, the staff was moody and my coffee was cold within 5 mins of me sitting down. I ordered a flat white and a pastry with something sweet. The staff were not welcoming despite me spending £17 for cold coffee and really disengaging staff members who couldn’t give a crap tbh. Don’t waste your money! Costa Starbucks or even feggos opposite have better food and service.

Newly opened branch in Gerrards Cross. Fresh bread & sweet & savoury patties. Slightly higher premium prices but a good product. The cafe is a good size space & family friendly & a brighter decor than the Beconsfield branch. Warm inside & small of fresh bread & pastries. It was very busy when I went in but had only been open a few days. It is a bit of a pain to order warm food & have to wait for hot drinks further along the counter as if very busy & a longer wait your food becomes cold but staff are new & they were trying to take drinks over to people probably as extra busy as a new place in GX. They were giving free samples of a spinach & feta pastry - very nice & my friend & I were kindly given a complementary Xmas Cinnamon bun to share to try - if you like sweet treats it had very Christmassy flavours .There is a pay & display car park behind . I’m sure it will do well. My only complaint as very open & lots of hard surfaces is it was slightly noisy as sound & chatting bounced off all the surfaces but I’m sure that could be sorted. A nice addition to the street .short walking distance to the common, football pitches & children’s playground

It is lovely to see something new in that empty building. It was their first day opening but I think they should have cleaned and cleared the tables that had been occupied. The premises look lovely and lots of space. My biggest gripe was the too loud inappropriate music, this is a cafe not a night club, the staff were having to lean over the counter to speak to the customers. I didn't complain because it obviously didn't seem to bother anyone else. For that reason I wouldn't return unless I really wanted a cinnamon bun and the music was softer. Sorry !!

Went out with friends on Sunday afternoon. Excellent food, great service and great outdoor sitting for a sunny day. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you guys.

Visited Bertram’s today with my friend for a light lunch. We both had tea and the most delicious Polish apple cake and custard. The garden centre is lovely but I’d visit again just for the pie!

We went for food at the pub. The venue itself is stunning, beautifully designed, and on a sunny day like today, the courtyard area is perfect for dining outdoors. The staff were very welcoming, and our waitress, gave some lovely recommendations. Our starters arrived promptly and were tasty. However, as a table of ten, we experienced a significant wait for our main courses—around 45 minutes—which became quite noticeable. When the food finally arrived, it looked well-presented, but unfortunately, the beef was undercooked and served on a cold plate. The beef was very fatty and looked ugly on the plate. One dish had to be returned as it was too raw to eat. The side of greens came in a small bowl filled with water, which was unnecessary. The chicken on a friends plate was dry. The Yorkshire pudding with the main was excellent—crispy, light, and very well done. It’s a real shame, as this is a lovely venue. With some improvements to service and more attention to food preparation—it could be exceptional. There seem to be a lack of senior staff to oversee the restaurant service.

Myself and my boyfriend came here for our 2nd anniversary, and it did not disappoint! However, be aware that they stop serving food at 9pm (we found this out when we arrived at around half 8, so we had to order fairly quickly, but we knew what we were going to have regardless as we've been to a Browns before) Food was amazing. We had the salt and pepper squid, and x2 steaks. The steaks from Browns are the best I've ever had, and the squid was delicious. Staff were very friendly too. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a more upmarket dining experience

Large cafe unfortunately feels more like train station waiting area instead of cozy cafe. Drinks are nice. Costa quality.
