I used to visit this café regularly, especially throughout the Covid epidemic when it re-opened. The staff were always so friendly, providing great service with a smile and engaging in witty conversation. They were always accommodating when I wanted to make adjustments to my meal, which was really nice. The Gadebridge Cafe was the heart of the community and helped bring in customers for the other local shops. The food was always cooked fresh and served in generous portions, and it was always delicious. 😋 However, everything has changed now, possibly due to a big group that pre-booked a table. As since there are no more outdoor seating, staff seem withdrawn and various people and dogs are banned. It's such a shame because the locals used to enjoy sitting outside, never taking up too much space, while enjoying a smoke and some drinks, and saying hello to others passing by. No more community spirit.

This place was awful. I’ve been a few times now. The manager of the place is rude, always on the phone talking his own language shouting at the staff and customers, if his not in the kitchen his at the front smoking. He really bullies his staff, shouting at them and getting really upset with them. I have never seen anything like it. Our food order was completely wrong, and when I got my food it was cold and raw. I did tell them about it and took longer for me to get fresh food again. I see the old waitress has returned and she is so miserable. My daughter whose 8 asked where the toilet was and she was ridiculously rude to her just pointed and my daughter didn’t know where to go. The staff 3 weeks ago was amazing always smiling they would go out their way for us. Always asking if we needed anything made us feel comfortable. Looks like he has new staff who has no manners and who are unfriendly. Gadebridge cafe has really gone down hill. The manager needs regular staff who are friendly and he needs to learn to have some manners himself.

Now this is what I call a perfect Christmas Dinner! It was well cooked, served hot and delicious with homemade turkey gravy. Not at a fancy posh restaurant that cost a fortune, but a family run cafe in Gadebridge. Thank you guys, see you next year. (That’s in about 10 days)😉😍

Popped in for breakfast with my family and received a warm welcome. We had sausage bagettes which had 4 sausages each, great value for money. Will be back for the full English breakfast very soon and another mug of tea!

Such a kind wonderful and friendly service every time, highly recommend Gadebridge Cafe. Despite the pandemic they are open but for take away service, either pop in or call them to place an order. They will give you estimate time for you to come and collect. Food here is fantastic and good value for money. *Update.* Well as the Take away service as above, the cafe is now fully open, with both indoor and out door seating. From other cafe experiences in the past, this is far the best eatery in Hemel Hempstead with out standing service, generous portions and of course impecable brilliant service. Gadebridge Cafe is open Monday-Saturday 06:00am - 4pm and on Sunday 09:00am - 3pm. To order a take away for collection either phone 01442-243985 they will give you a time frame when it is ready, or simply just pop in. Near Gadebridge Cafe is free parking!

been meaning to try this place for sometime, and took the children here for breakfast a few weeks ago, and was not dissapointed. very friendly staff, who serve you at the table. Ample portions, hot, tasty and not too greasy. tried it again today for sunday lunch, today was roast chicken, had roast potatoes, yorkshire, veg and gravy. huge portion, for £6.50. will be back again, in fact the children asked when we could go back again!

Had food here many times and it’s the best for fried chicken in Hemel. Excellent value for money and friendly staff and service really good food well worth a visit. My favourite is the double chicken sandwich burger meal with fries and a choice of drinks, great tasting and freshly prepared. Give it a try and you too won’t be disappointed…..

Best takeaway iv'e ever had in ages, I had a chicken burger, chips, fried chicken. SO CHEAP, since inflation has gone up this is a very cheap takeaway for your family and friends, Family meal for 6 people, You get 4 chicken burgers, 4 fries medium, 4 pieces of fried chicken, 6 strips, 1.5L bottle of fizzy drink. FOR GUESS WHAT 18.99£ brilliant takeaway better than kfc, Suprisingly across the road. 10/10 please try.
