Funky Cow Milkshake Bar in Cheshire West and Chester

We ordered online and waited for 2hrs and gave up waiting for our milkshake and ended up cancelling and didn’t get a refund?!

we placed a delivery order at 10 to 1 today and payed £20 for two milkshakes that never arrived??!! waited two hours and ended up having to cancel the order as they said they would be here at 4 o clock? terrible service not happy!

Too expensive, smells terrible and the ambience takes a lot of getting used to

Asked the store worker what his favourite milkshake was and he made it for me. Was a very nice milkshake and even nicer guy making it. Definitely recommend!

On behalf of my daughter and her girlfriend, who absolutely love this place. They say the staff are lovely and the milkshakes are amazing. I'll have to give it a try myself at some point!

Proper lovely can't recommend enough can I can I request a idea though like a harry potterish shake like butterbeer, butterscotch syrup, vanilla ice cream ( called the buttery lighting bolt ) topped with a golden snitch (ferero roshay still in gold wrapping) something to mimic cream soda flavour. Because the Cadbury caramel today was epic. First ever vist will be back. Loads of quirky ideas. Can't wait to try marmite lol. Thank you Sarah leighton and Craig Gater

Highly recommend! I had a double werthers original milkshake that was recommended by the lovely staff and will definitely be having this again. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful with helping you decide what flavours to choose given their extensive menu. There is something for everyone and even a vegan and dog friendly menu on offer too! I love the whole atmosphere of this place, the bright decor drew me in and I will ONLY go here for my sweet treats from now on. Great value for money and outstanding service!

We had the best shakes here! There was an amazing range for vegans too, we brought our doggie who had the choice of ice cream or milkshake and the puppy milkshake is puppy approved! Thank you Amy for an amazing shake 💕 we’ll be back again soon

Went in yesterday and was so happy with the service I asked for their names, they told me they were called Freya and Hattie and honestly the customer service and milkshakes were both excellent. Will definitely be returning for more in the future; you couldn’t have done better choosing your employees!

Went in on Saturday and the staff couldn’t have been sweeter. It was my first time going and a blonde girl walked me through each step which was so helpful. Would recommend to all. Can’t emphasise enough how amazing the staff were !

Staff seemed rude, more bothered about chatting to each other than serving me. Got a kinder beuno milkshake it was awful tasted like a sweetcorn milkshake.

Was visiting Chester and Funky Cow was recommended. Arrived at 17.22 and was told they are no longer serving despite closing at 17.30. Disappointed

We loved it. Saw it in the morning. Visited in the afternoon. Even though we showed just before closing, the staff was gracious, walked us through our options, answered all of our questions. We thought each shake was delicious. When we visit Chester again, we’ll also visit the Funky Cow again too,

I came in with my son on Wednesday afternoon and was served by a lovely young girl. We ordered a Funky Beast and 2 Bubblegum millions milkshakes, she was very friendly and helped us choose what to have. We will be back again thankyou so much amazing milkshake and such a sweet,hard working member of staff!

Ordered two milk shakes, both of them not thick enough and tasted like milk more than the actual flavours. The girl at the counter served me like she wanted to get rid of me. Poor service, deplorable shakes. Not returning again.

Went in at 4:20, first of all got some awful looks from one of the girls who clearly didn’t want to serve us as they were cleaning up, well if that’s the case you should either close the door or announce to people when they walk in that you’re closed. Anyway discussing what we wanted to order and one girl says ‘guys we literally close in like 5 minutes so if you’re gonna order something can you just hurry up please’. Honestly it’s just rude and awful service. I appreciate everyone wants to finish on time but as I said, either close your doors or let people know when they walk in that you’re closed. Rather than making your customers feel like a nuisance. Safe to say I didn’t order anything after that

Was looking forward for a milkshake, arrived at 5:10pm, rude staff sitting around and refused to serve me as they were closing? Even though they close at 5:30pm. Think you need to review your staff, poor customer service.

I've been here multiple times and have always enjoyed the shakes, both in quality and pricing. But recently I visited and had very disappointing experience. It started with the member of staff serving me dropping part of the chocolate bar I asked for, and throwing it in the bin meaning I'm already only getting 3/4 of it. I was like whatever but it only got worse, I had ordered a limited edition white toblerone, oreo and caramel shake. It was so bad because it hadn't been blended at all, I was almost choking on the bits of oreo that were much bigger than usual and as for the White Toblerone? I think the picture below speaks for itself...

All through the summer my family have been here and have used the loyalty offer. Basically buy 10 milkshakes and receive a free one. I was informed today by a young man with died hair, that since covid, the stamps are no longer per milkshake its now per order. Surely there's advertising law issues here, as a family of 5 I would now get a free milkshake once I've bought 50. And justifying it with covid and reduced footfall is a joke, they've now lost another 5 customers.

What a funky place. Heaven for all with a sweet tooth. The choice is endless. I opted for a marinate milkshake omg! It was amazing. The staff must of thought I was crazy asking for this , but they did not judge. Very inviting , polite friendly and greeted with a smile. Please don't change anything about this place it's AMAZING. To Many options I think plus I felt like a giant man child going in by myself

Came into the store and ordered 3 drinks between 3 of us, member of staff handing out drinks didn't call out the orders clearly and one was taken by the wrong person (even though he did ask if it was definitely his drink which the reply was yes) after the last drink was handing out which he actually called by what was in it and we realised the wrong drink had been taken the member of staff was adamant I should drink the one that someone else had already been drinking from. After a minute or two of disgusting service from the staff member he finally remade my drink which he made sure he did the worst job of I might add, he also handled all the food going into my drink bare handed but I didn't complain about this as alteast I wasn't getting a half drunk drink, I didn't even raise to him muttering under his breath to us or the fact he basically dropped the drink at me as he handed it over but the fact he made the drink so badly I had paid £5.50 for really ticked me over. The other members of staff seemed nice and where professional but that young male of staff needs sacking big time.

Hace una semana, más o menos, visité a Funky Cow con dos de mis amigos, llegamos alrededor de las 5:40 ", sin embargo, la puerta decía" abierta ", no sabíamos la hora de cierre y luego descubrimos que estaba cerrada a las 5:45. Estábamos mirando el menú cuando una de las dos chicas que trabajaban allí dijo "cerraremos pronto", mi amiga preguntó "¿podemos pedir? "Y fue ignorado por este miembro del personal. La otra chica que trabajaba y que tenía una mejor actitud se acercó al mostrador para cerrar la puerta y poner el cartel cerrado, una vez más mi amiga preguntó: "¿podemos pedir? "Y esta jovencita inmediatamente nos reconoció y dijo" sí, por supuesto ". Así que fui a la caja y ordené "Una espiga de fresa normal y un doble regular con kitkat de mantequilla de maní y bueno "me dijeron", ¿puedes repetir el primero por favor? "Solo repetí" kit de mantequilla de maní kat "y ella resopló y dijo" no el primero, así que dije " la espiga de fresa ”, esta chica tenía una actitud repugnante hacia los clientes y me sorprendió ya que todavía logró tener un trabajo. Mi amiga pidió un kit grande de mantequilla de maní kat, pero cuando este grosero miembro del personal dejó todas las bebidas para que la señorita más agradable hiciera ella sola, le dijo que todas eran de tamaños regulares. También se confundió con los batidos cuando me pidió que repitiera lo que quería y trató de darme el kitkat de caramelo, claramente no escucha a sus clientes. Una vez que obtuvimos nuestros batidos, estuvimos más que felices de salir de allí, una vez que la joven que hizo los tres batidos y nos trató con respeto nos saludó diciendo gracias, mientras que la otra chica se quedó allí ignorándonos. Esta tiene que ser una de las experiencias más terribles que he tenido en cualquier lugar que trata con el cliente, la ignorancia y la actitud eran inexcusables e innecesarias.

Walked past a million times, decided to try it out... well the wait is a bit, but not in any rush if your coming here I guess.

There was a long queue when we arrived but it was dealt with well and our order done swiftly and my kids loved it and once it had quietened the staff showed some added interest and attentiveness. The range is fabulous and I love going as a treat.

Great milkshakes, plenty of variety to choose from. Unfortunately the music playing was completely inappropriate, I had to take my kid outside. The girl serving obviously wasn't happy at her work, maybe she was having a bad day!?

Fabulous milkshakes made to order, you can select your favourite chocolate bar to be blended in. Plus add optional toppings and sauces, It is all very yummy.

Great for kids and adults. Huge variety of flavours mean a different one every time. Our daughter loves coming here.

I’m not a milkshake person but these are to die for! You can have sweets, puddings (ie meringue) or chocolate bars added to them and they are really yummy. The Ferraro Rocher is my favourite. If you get a loyalty card and have it stamped each time you get a free milkshake after so many visits.

Me and my boyfriend went in here and the two girls behind the counter were so lovely and chatty. We both ordered something with too much chocolate which was so good. Really recommend this place but maybe if you’ve not had one before, only try a single instead of a double.

Went here with my teenager daughter. The milkshakes are gorgeous and very tasty. Lots of choice and so many different combinations of chocolate bars to pick from.

Visited today withy wife and two kids. The staff were really friendly and made the whole experience really interactive for the kids. Cant rate this place highly enough, the shakes were fantastic. A must visit when you are in Chester with the family, or by yourself!!

We saw an advert for this milkshake bar on a map of Chester in our holiday cottage & promised the kids we would treat them. So glad we did!

It's no different to any other chocolate milkshake place, but that's good. not excessively expensive.
