Went today for a Sunday carvery and if it was honestly the worst carvery we’ve ever eaten the meat was chewy and the potatoes were not cooked through so were raw in the middle disgusting slop. That’s the only way that you describe it. Certainly won’t be returning 😞 how can you charge almost £16 ahead when you get a decent carvery down the road for less at Brent house?

Very friendly and helpful staff but unfortunately some of the food was disappointing. The carvery meat was quite nice and also a reasonably sized portion. However the roast potatoes let the meal down. Fresh potatoes were brought when we mentioned how disappointed we were but they too were almost inedible

Quiet when we we t on a Wednesday lunchtime. Food and service good but not DRAUGHT guiness and run out of Inches cider. Friendly and efficient service and good food. Good base for a 6.8 mile long, flat, easy circular walk. Pub has the map (on OS phone app). Park at pub, walk via new Yeo crossing, Owl in the Oak café ( check when open!), Yeo Bank Farm milk bar and unusual subway under M5.

Our first experience of the carvery here and it was great. On a Sunday only carvery is served if you wanted the normal menu then don't go on Sunday. It would be nice to choose though especially with fusy eaters. Veg was limited carrots, cabbage, peas, beans, parsnip and Cauliflower cheese. Again if someone didn't like cheese but liked Cauliflower on its own you couldn't have it. However the lady serving did offer to cut up the meet for my youngest which was nice.

Visited for Sunday Lunch, I had a frankly dreadful carvery, everything was cold and completely unseasoned with chewy crackling and no gravy to seal the deal. My good lady had a completely flavourless lasagna with an undressed side salad and my boy had 4 obviously from frozen nuggets and some cold chips on a plate, he said it was nice but his standards are low Terrible value for money all round won't be back any time soon. Service was slow and sullen, unsurprisingly it wasn't very busy and if they continue in this vein I suspect it will continue to get slower.

We gave the Full Quart a second chance after a previous bad experience, we won't be making that mistake again. My son's beef was so tough that he really couldn't eat it, veg selection was poor and staff seemed disinterested. Chap on the carvery was chatty and pleasant enough but that's about it.. Used to be a really nice pub but sadly that's no longer the case

I last visited The Full Quart more than 20 years ago, but today I was passing on the way back from a meeting at Weston-super-Mare to Bristol and needed a bite to eat. I asked if they did anything light and was shown the ciabatta menu. I ordered a ham ciabatta, and a half of Butcombe's to wash it down. The ciabatta was very fresh, with a generous amount of ham and a generous side salad and coleslaw. The beer was lovely too, as you would expect from Butcombe's. All in all a very enjoyable lunch stop.

We stopped for a Sunday Carvery first at the Star on the A370 unfortunately it was absolutely heaving in the car park not one available space so decided to try the Full Quart in Hewish . I remarked to my wife when we pulled on the car park very few cars not a good sign but we were hungry so decided to give it a go . Unfortunately I have to say this without doubt is the worst carvery that we have ever had totally bland and tasteless . At £15.95 a head terrible value for money 2 wafer thin slices of meat usually at most good carvery’s you can help yourself to roast potatoes but not so here you get what you are given not that they were very good no taste what so ever for me the highlight of the carvery was the peas . We have had many good Carvery’s at the Star Inn and the Woolpack and Brent House so we are well aware of what a good carvery should taste like but this simply did not compare .

The first thing I noticed about The Full Quart Hewish was how clean it was proving that pubs such as these can be clean! We we're greeted by an attentive, friendly waitress who remained so throughout the meal, so 4 stars for the housekeeping and hospitality staff. To get their final fith star the chef needs to up his game. The food is good but its overpriced for the portion size. The homemade pie is a nice size but for the price the dish needs more of the cheap food such as potato, carrots etc. The beef in the pie was a little tough and oregano was a dominate taste which is strange and does not fit in a steak pie so my meal was a little disappointing. Lasagne was a good size and very good but it's a cheap meal to make and only comes with a side salad and small piece of garlic bread. The cod is the size of 2 cod bites and its about £15.... Sadly for cost and portion size.... I dropped a star.

Had to book a place to eat at the last moment and it was Mother's Day. This place had vacancies whereas others did not. The other reviews here aren't the best by far, but I needed a place to meet up with family and friends so the food wasn't a first priority. Actually, I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The carvery was good although the beef was rather leather like and hard to chew on. The pork was excellent and so was the turkey. Some of us had the gammon and chips, again good. The service was prompt and very polite. A few crying babies in the room did spoil the conversation but that's no fault of the establishment, it is family pub after all. I would recommend it and concider coming back at a later date.

Disappointing - read a number of reviews after booking but went along with an open mind - but unfortunately the reviews are correct. Food is average at best, and expensive for what it is. Fish and chips served with 'straight out of a bag' frozen chips and a small piece of fish, with some microwaved mushy peas - edible but not very inspiring... any decent restaurant or pub should be able to provide fresh hand cut and fried chips, and make fresh mushy peas - its not difficult... the cost of this meal is the same as The Duke of Oxford in Weston, and the quality of offering is a world apart. Lasagne - child size portion and quite bland, carvery - good variety but left under a hot lamp for far too long and mostly dried out. A different topic but still relevant - the interior could do with a damn good clean - the lamps over the tables have years and years of dust on them, not a very good indication to how the kitchen could be. This place could be so much more if it had new management and some quality chefs - at the moment its no more than a 'heat and serve' venue much like a Hungry Horse - sad. One good point - the waitress was very good, very friendly and attentive - pity she has to work in a substandard venue. We won't be returning until some substantial changes have been implemented as there are plenty of venues around that provide superior quality of food for the same price. Summary: Think twice before booking, its not inedible, but its not good value for what you get and you could be left very disappointed.

Arrived very hopeful. We arrived just after 3pm and told the staff member serving that we wanted a table for 2 and she told us to sit where ever we wanted as we were the only people there. Took our drink order and then when we started to order our started she looked a little confused and walked away. A moment later she came back and said “if you want food you need order everything now as the chef wants a lunch break” we then felt very rushed and quickly ordered our started again and main. With this I asked her “what’s the curry of the day” and her reply was “chicken” …… nothing else just chicken 🤷♀️ So again feeling rushed I just went for the first meal I saw which was pork belly. The starter was a sharing Camembert and to be honest there wasn’t enough bread for us both and it tasted bland and like it was from a supermarket. Mains arrived and I had pork belly which was burnt and really difficult to chew, mash was extremely dry and veg was tasteless. I had to ask for more sauce as this was the only tasty thing on the plate and was definitely not worth £15.95. My husband had a “home made” chicken burger which looked like it had come from a supermarket and flat and again not worth the money. Was so disappointed and definitely will not be returning.

It’s reasonably priced and there is a wide variety of help-yourself veg, from roast parsnips to rich cauliflower cheese, with half a dozen other options to load onto a large plate once you’ve selected your meat, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud. What a friendly and welcoming pub in every sense. I dropped in on the walk home from an afternoon out with my girlfriend and we had a lovely drink together before continuing on our way. Today I visited alone during a bike ride and was made really welcome by the staff and regulars. They even let me bring my bike in the bar, ( it was a week day lunchtime). I had some well kept Butcombe with a fresh, tasty cheese and onion roll. Good thick cheese filling and sliced onion. Near enough to be a local so I will return. Maybe I will bring the fold up next time. I will need to sample the meals too. Thank you for a pleasant hour or so staff and customers.

I’m writing this so other people can read the reviews and get a realistic idea about this hotel. I wish we had chosen the Premier Inn. Luckily staying only one night. No hot water on arrival, still no hot water on returning from dinner, reported to night manager who agreed to log but was unable to help. In the morning was told by receptionist that an engineer was only called that morning as this was the first time it had been reported - clearly untrue. No manager available until later in the morning and check out time 10:00. At least whole floor affected. Tried contacting someone more senior via email who was also unable/unwilling to help. No one answered phone number. After breakfast water warm enough to wash and check out time extended by 1 hr to allow us to shower before departure. Reading other reviews the lack of hot water is a recurring problem. Reduction in bill requested and turned down. Approx £109/night including breakfast is too much to pay for no hot water and I believe that management were aware that guests were being placed in rooms with no hot water. Parking £10/day not £6 as advertised on booking.com, reception seemed surprised as price increase was some time ago. Lift doesn’t work but you are only informed after you boo. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Although breakfast is a buffet every thing is as cheap as possible, staff avoid customers and it is hard to get anything like yoghurt. Much better breakfasts are available in town if you have time to look. Take your own shower gel, shampoo and soap unless you are happy to use cheapest possible products. Tatty modern furniture, few plug sockets, overall in need of repair and refurbishing.

Having stayed in premier inns for well over 10yrs now for trips and stays away, I have to this one is the worst! Up arriving after navigating through the jungle to find the entrance (over grown signage, poorly literally back lane and no clear road markings), we finally arrived on the main entrance. Once in there was no working self service desks and no staff to be seen. After pressing the attention button for what seems like a life time (actually 10 mins), a staff member appeared. The room had no bottle opener that's standard in all premier inns, no extra duvet (only a used empty bag un the bed), no hdmi wall ports, no raspberry tea bags (again standard in rooms) and no plug sockets next to the beds. The phone single was shocking and wasn't mentioned in the extra hotel info on the app, the rooms was grubby and the window wouldn't close That said, it was a reasonably quiet night and the black out curtains worked. That was the only 2 positives. I can honestly say I will never return to this particular hotel as generally premier inns are great.

One of the best cod and chips we have ever eaten. Fish was beautifully white and the batter light and crispy. So many chips we couldn’t eat them all. We used to live in Worle over 40 years ago, now reside in Devon. Was in the area for a visit yesterday and called in. Wish we lived closer and we could call in more often.
