The Pavilion Beefeater in North Somerset

Despite lovely staff, this is the worst Sunday roast I've had for a long time. The menu promised lamb rump, cooked pink, with crispy roast potatoes. What arrived was a cremated, tiny amount of lamb, luke warm veg (almost raw cauliflower in the cauliflower cheese) and soggy roast potatoes. Friends said beef was fine (decent portion, nice flavour), but veg and potatoes were the same. Too be fair, for £14.99 there was enough actual food (apart from the lamb), but it was far from what was promised on the menu.

It was my first time at a beefeater and I had a mixed grill. It was really good and very tasty. Very good place for a meal out with friends

10oz Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Attentive staff. Clean restaurant and ample parking

Staff were great, friendly and efficient. Food was lovely and served quickly. Music wasn't over bearing and overall atmosphere was very relaxing. Overall a great place to eat.

Really good food, price was good too but try to use the vouchers that are around!

Fantastic night for my Birthday meal, I had the steak which was cooked beautifully my other family members had the fish and chips and lasagna, which were also fantastic, The atmosphere was lovely low lighting and people having a great time, will definitely be back to Weston’s hidden gem.

Good food and great value for money

I had breakfast here when I stayed at the adjoining Premier Inn. Warm welcome when I walked in, everything explained. Comfortable seating and enjoyable food. I would definitely come again.

Moody staff, at times, given a table for 4 at breakfast when there was 5 of us.

Unkempt dining areas, sticky carpets and tables.

Worth the money but lacking in atmosphere. Staff did not smile or appear interested as tables were not cleared very quickly. Toilets needed some attention no paper in one and did not look fresh. Meal was absolutely amazing

Appalling! Girl behind bar was lovely but restaurant could not cope and left people hungry when tables barely occupied!

Ordered the ribeye medium rare with triple cooked chips for just under 20 pounds. The steak came out medium well and looking like a cats been playing with it! I had 10 chips on my plate which were far from triple cooked and 2 fork fulls of peas! I only ate it because I was starving but will never eat here again!

Rubbish, cant get a tablet even when you book it the day before. Breakfast on Sunday doesn't happen untill 7.45am no good to me as i need to work from 7.30am

The evening we visited there had been a meltdown with the restaurant's computer system but the staff handled it brilliantly, very professional they never made a drama out of a crisis and handled it seamlessly. Sorry, I digress. As I said staff brilliant and friendly. We were stopping in the adjacent Premier Inn. The food was very good for a Beefeater, certainly when compared to anything in the surrounding areas.

My wife and her sister went to the Beefeater and had a good time . Staff very friendly will be back xx.

Lovely evening sat outside in garden for our meal this evening. Very clean area to eat in . Food really enjoyable . Staff very friendly and efficient. Mention to tom and danni Would recommend.

Been here all week for work, was look after very well, special thank you to Tom, Danielle & Emily you guys make the restaurant welcoming with your super friendly service, cannot ask for much better service than you gave, also letting me use your freezer for my ice blocks for medical reasons. Thank you so much and hopefully will be back one day.

Enjoyable meal, food good and tasty, service was good and reasonably priced.Little bit cool with the air con , but otherwise no complaints.

Disappointing. Slow service, food didn't taste that good and it was overpriced compared to the portion size.

Was seated in a very cold area of the restaurant. Waited 10 minutes before someone come to ask for a drink ordered our drinks. Another lady come over 15 mins later to take our food order she was very pleasant starter came 10mins later it says it was cheesy potato dippers which were basically cheesy chips with bacon bits rip of for £7 we had been in the restaurant already a hour before our mains even came 2 mix grills come £20 each wow absolute rip of for the money. 2 small taste less sausage medium rare steaks that were well done the smallest bit of chicken and about 10 chips Where i live you get twice as much and better quality then we got at this beefeater Almost ate all my food by the time someone come over to ask if was OK I asked where my side was to be told it wasn't put through the till I ate it because I was hungry and had drove 25mins from caravan park for it but luckily enough I don't have to go back again. Would not recommend

Had dinner and breakfast there while staying at the Premier Inn next door. Dinner was slightly better than average but breakfast was poor, barely warm and on cold plates. Only lager and cider served (no draft beer). Not one of the best Premier Inns. Only 3 floors but no lift.

Great service, polite and helpful.

Good value for money, food is basic pub grub and will never win awards but it was fine and daughter loved the pudding.

Had an amazing breakfast. It was hotel buffet style and everything I had was delicious. My only request would be to have more of a selection of food (cheeses, other pastries,etc.), it didn't ruin the experience at all, it would just enhance the experience. Highly recommend!!!

Best to book a table before visiting the restaurant

Fantastic experience! Our server Emily D was so friendly and attentive, she and all the other staff made our visit fabulous. Lovely manager too, and the bar staff. The food was perfect, hot and all correct. I am very happy and will definitely return.

Stayed at Premier Inn and opted for the breakfast at the attached Beefeater. Service was ok, polite & friendly sadly the food let the staff down. Most of the food was Luke warm at best and beans were cold, odd as it was all under heat lamps? Stayed a a fair few Premiers and this has been the worst breakfast I have had. Sorry guys but not good enough………..

We stay here on a regular basis and it's our go to place to stay when we are visiting family on our visits to weston

After waiting for over 10 minutes at the door for anyone to welcome us only to be told we need to order at the bar. Dry food, served on a metal tray and a thin sheet of baking paper. I thought beefeater was better than than. But the icing on the cake was the refusal of a blue light card! Thanks Beefeater

We had breakfast here. The food was amazing. The children ate free. The service was fantastic. I'm definitely going to stay here again. Fantastic time had by all.

Ate there on two occasions recently and both times it was enjoyable. The food is fine and all the serving staff were helpful and friendly. Special mention to Dani who was the best of the bunch, so friendly, helpful and very professional at her job.

I have noticed this year that the Premier Inn meal deals are getting less in choice. I paid the difference for my steak and drink. I noticed the medium steak came more like rare, in my opinion. Otherwise, ok. They seemed very short staffed for breakfast.

We were staying at the Premier inn Western super mare east with an attached Beefeater that are normally fantastic, unfortunately after a forty five minute wait for our food when I asked our very polite waitress Emily why the chicken breast was so small her superior colleague Tom interrupted rudely that is how they come and ensued to argue with me, the rest of the meal was over cooked and dry so I sent mine back my partner who was hungry eat his even though his steak was meant to be medium was well done. Tom then came over to offer an apology his parting sentence was write what you like about me was IT IS NO SKIN OFF MY NOSE. We stay all over the UK in hotels this is our first negative review.

The food was awful I had fish n chips and the batter soaked in grease, chips were cold , my friend had charcoaled salmon it was burnt she sent hers back had another meal sent out , I couldn’t eat mine disgusting

Have worked away all my working life and can honestly say that this beefeater has got to be the worst I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. The less experienced staff were pleasant but unfortunately the managers are in desperate need of training in etiquette. Food dreadful at evening time and we were foolish enough to go for breakfast aswell which led us to leave and end up eating in a nearby café after having the misfortune of dealing with possibly the rudest member of staff we have ever met. Emily was amazing. She was attentive and fun. She took photos of our group and let us sit at our table to have a drink after our meal.

Food was good and carved meat a good portion. However, the website promised real ale from a local brewery. All three taps for this were off. Worse, there was no ale of any kind. If I wanted beer, it was fizzy lager or nothing.

Rude uninterested staff. Your mere presence causes them an inconvenience. Food was mediocre at best, and it was woeful customer service. This quality of food and service isn't representive of the brand as a whole just this specific restaurant.

Went for a Sunday roast but they stopped serving it despite no timings on their website menu. Poor service, waited 30 mins after we finished our main before having to go off to find a waitress to clear our plates (turns out our waitress went home.) The food was very average. Ordered a steak medium and it was well done and barely edible. I wouldn’t recommend.

The overall experience was average; the food was okay, and we had to sit in the bar area. Since it was my first visit, I’m not sure if this is the norm for all Beefeater restaurants, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression on me.

All I can say is I'm glad I didn't have to pay for my kids!!!!!! This is not value for money it's been a whole since iv been to a beefeater, and I can definitely say I will never return to one again. The food is so bad I felt sick after trying to eat it. ** DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY**

THE WORST dinner ATTEMPT we've ever had! And I say attempt because we could not actually eat the food! Firstly, the tables were so sticky that my wrists were literally getting stuck to the surface and then, to start it off properly - they had no drinks menus available because, as the bartender said, they were being re-printed and they had none available. Not even the old ones. I asked for a Sex of the beach cocktail but ... they had no orange juice!?!?!? Who runs out of orange juice??? Surely with the amount of kids that dine there, orange juice is a staple! Ended up ordering a berry martini. It wasn't chilled or mixed at all! Husband had a prawn cocktail starter which was ice cold with stale soft cucumber slices. I decided to opt for the burned calamari... For mains we both chose the Surf n' turf platter. We all know what a surf n' turf platter should look like right? WRONG! Beefeater special surf n' turf consists of one cold steak, dripping in oil, 2 barely defrosted King prawns and 5 not even bite size calamari pieces and to top it off, a huge portion of chips, cooked in last week's oil. The steaks were cold! Completely cold! So were the barely defrosted king prawns! Bear in mind we waited 30 minutes for that food! They offered to re-cook it. Well, not only were the prawns just as cold but the steak was rare and cold. So as soon as we cut into the steaks, it was just blood on our plates. We ordered medium rare steaks. Absolutely disgusted with it all! This is the second time we've tried to dine at a Beefeater restaurant! The first time both me and husband ended up with upset stomachs. This time, we couldn't even eat the food we paid for. Luckily, they refunded us but that's besides the point! They didn't even bring cutlery! It might be convenient as it is at the hotel but it is so not worth it! Never again!

Made to feel awkward about wanting to pay my meal separate from a group of people. Then, when my husband went to order our food at the bar, the barman moaned about it as well.! I like to pay separately. The food was good, the staff need to allow the customer to choose how to pay, not make the customer feel uncomfortable.

We went on valentines night and had rhe valentines day menu. Food was lovely, our server molly was friendly and polite. We will definitely return

Review update 2024: The pub has definitely gone downhill since our last visit. Staff to busy talking and listening to music.

Mediocre food with a heavy price tag

Emily was amazingly helpful even though it was a really busy evening with a Teakwondo event in the local sports centre. Checked in on us but not over bearing, helpful, happy and attentive. We really enjoyed our visit. The food was good value for money and very tasty.

All you can eat breakfast for £9.99 - excellent!

Went to the Beefeaters quite often, for both, personal and business travels. So far have enjoyed the food and services throughout, including this. Don't know if its Premier Inn forcing the breakfast options/ingredients to be specific, but keep the coffee as is !

Came for breakfast, plenty of selection and buffet topped up regularly. Scrambled eggs made to order. Good service, recommended.

Nice place, comfy warm, good dessert (kit kat sundae), tasteful flood and really good portions. Overall good prices. The unlimited refill option should be self service, as staff are quite busy to always keep an eye on you and when you need a refill. Overall I do recommend and I will be going back.

Nice meal and good beer, right next door to the premier Inn and only 30 mins from Bristol airport silver zone carpark

Went for a family meal, we had a variety of meals from roast dinners, burgers, hot dogs and kids meals. All meals were perfectly cooked and value for money size portions Only down scored the atmosphere because it was quiet in there

Ordered a Rib-eye steak, it turned up very fatty, chewy and dry. Asked for a replacement but was told all the Rib-eyes were like that so opted for a Fillet and had to wait another 20 minutes while watching my friend eat and finish their meal. Steak was better but still fatty and chewy. Bill arrived and I had been charged full price for the fillet (I was expecting to be charged for the Rib-eye and offered the fillet for compensation of the inconvenience) and was told by the rude waitress she would ask her manager to discount but would be a waste of time. Will never go back there again.

Found on google maps, visited and was immediately impressed.. taken to be seated without a booking, served quite quickly and the quality of the food was amazing!

Super service, decent tasting food and a clean environment. Update - Last minute booking for Christmas day. Fantastic, it really was. Staff and the service was excellent. To all the kitchen staff, a big round of applause. The Christmas food was delicious and thouroghly enjoyed by all in our party. A big thank you to all who worked that day.

Gone down hill massivley. Seemed like we were an inconvenience. Staff looked like they were arguing. No atmosphere either. Food was below par. Such a shame as used to be great.

Good steaks but still quite pricy for what it is. Seems to have become more focused on numbers through the door rather than quality. Breakfast buffet is OK.

😎 4 adults eating breakfast on 2 x days.... help yourself and plenty of choice and as much as you could eat.. check your tea coffee mugs, l picked up 2 each one dirty/stained... 2 x evening meals for 4 people.. good food, excellent staff good service...l would have given 5 stars but for the dirty/stained cups.. 😎

Shockingly bad. Genuinely haven't had a worse meal in years. 5 out 7 of us left most of their food. Service was terrible, could clearly see we weren't happy with our food but didn't ask and just charged us full price even though they were taking back pretty much full plates. Steak was burn to a crisp and rubbery. Wasn't even the cut of meat I asked. The roast potatoes looked like they had been reheated in a frier. Turkey was processed. Never ever going to eat there again.

I never write a review but this was terrible , food took 40 mins to come out, steak 🥩 fillet medium rare so overcooked and tuff to touch , wilted salad from being left under hot lamp and cold chips , burnt other meals that were also cold ?! , didn’t come to see if meals were ok after received , I had a 50% off voucher and as we were in a rush as had a show booked in Bristol I decided not to bother even telling them how bad it was until when I went to use the voucher I was informed rudely that I should have told them I had one at the start of my booking and it wasn’t eligible for the steak , at this point I did tell the lady I was unhappy with the meals but just ate them and was putting up with how rubbish they were as I had a voucher , she was abrupt and rude and no apology, she spoke to her manager who advised her to take £10 off , the place is filthy. The toilets are disgusting, awful food & customer service.
