The Full House Chinese takeaway is in the centre of town near Sainsbury’s and has an extensive menu. We simply had meat spring rolls which were tasty and a special chow main which was substantial and pretty good. Prices are reasonable and the service very good.

Full House had been shut for their annual holiday and only just opened back up. The food was ok except for the prawn crackers which were stale. It was almost like they'd made them before closing for the week.

Waited two hours for food for it to get here and be cold and barely edible… not worth your money usually our go to but past few times has been terrible

Grabbed a takeaway on the last night of our Lakes getaway. We were staying literally around the corner so popped in to place the order. Very nice lady served us. We nipped over to Sainsbury’s for 10 minutes while it was cooking. Food was ready when we got back. Piping hot, and delicious. Would recommend. Only negative for me is that it is cash only.

This used to be our go to chinese but i'm not so sure anymore. The spring rolls were undercooked. The pastry was spongy not crispy - maybe they had been stuck together in the fryer? The chicken fried rice, which is usually nice, had hardly any flavour. I wonder if they have a new chef.

We come here all the time and its usually excellent so don't know what happened. We phoned the order in and was given a time. The food was not ready when we arrived to collect, it was a further 10 minutes. The chicken fried rice was really greasy, although it tasted ok. The seaweed was awful, could almost not eat it. It was so sweet. You could see all the sugar piled in among it. I don't think its usually sweet, I think they put sugar on by mistake?

The Food is very good and very warm. And we like the food they are koan us and they konw want we want

Order a lot of food including delivery an expected it to be expensive but came in at under £25 for lots of mains and sides and extra sauces. Delivery driver very chirpy to. Speedy service

We opted for the set meals for 2 which offered excellent value for money (now up to £20 though from £17 a few months ago). We went 3 times while in Cockermouth and strangely paid extra for prawn crackers twice, then on the third visit were told they were included free - rather annoying. Food was good though.

We ordered the set meal a which is excellent value for £17. You get two soups, a combination starter (contains spring rolls, wontons, wings, toast & sauce), two meals and two rice. You are able to choose your own main dishes which I find novel as everywhere else you get what your given. You get that much in this meal we always end up with leftovers for the following days lunch!

We have had many takeaways from here and they have always been great but we had a poor one some weeks ago. On past experiences we decided to give them another chance and as it was a dirty wet night last night we ordered a delivery. Honey roast spare ribs, lemon chicken, Singapore vermicelli, and sweet chilli beef, with rice, all excellent. The sweet chilli was really hot (spicy) ideal for a cold night. It was all so good, we are having it again this evening (well the remains of last nights).

Disgusting. Got a combination starter box everything was soggy and squishy completely inedible we were told it would be 20 minutes so that’s when we want to get it then took us 5 minutes to get back home obviously opened it as soon as we got in then we see the soggy food rang to complain to which we never usually do but this was ridiculous we tried to get another box but the woman then proceeded to tell us it was our own fault but how? Recently these takeaways have been awful.

I would say we order from here once a month and we have never had a bad meal. The food arrives hot and is very good value for money. We usually spend about £20 but there is always so much food for 2 people, it usually does us two nights. Would recommend the chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken and the crispy beef! Only a small negative is the chicken they use for the chicken satay skewers is a bit dry but all other chicken dishes are very nice & well cooked. The staff are lovely in the kitchen and they have recently put in covid19 screens and wear masks too. They ask you to wear a mask on collection also.

I ordered the exact same takeaway as last week and the price increase is £1! Why is that? No explanation and no acknowledgement.

The roast beef Chow Mein was fantastic, as were the prawn crackers. The Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken was bland though. Egg fried rice and chips were standard.

After all these weeks of lockdown, it was great to get a takeaway. It is always great and friendly service, they have put measures in place for SD, but that does not effect their service.

We are always pleased with our food. It never disappoints. This restaurant is efficient and is always good value.

Fantástico buen servicio de comida y muy buen tamaño de las porciones. Las comidas preparadas son una compra fantástica. Full House es, con mucho, la mejor comida china para llevar en la ciudad, ¡sin mencionar la ventaja adicional de poder morder el gallo y el toro de al lado mientras preparan su comida! ?

They chips was good but they had more salt than the see on them and left me so thirsty with a very bad taste in my mouth

Sin entrar en detalles, la comida que pedimos realmente no fue muy agradable, y revisé en consecuencia. Al día siguiente recibí una llamada telefónica del propietario disculpándome por mi pedido decepcionante. Explicó por qué la calidad no estaba a la altura de los estándares habituales y pidió que se le permitiera cocinar mi plato elegido personalmente.En mi opinión, esto muestra los beneficios del sistema de revisión, tanto para los clientes como para los dueños de negocios, y es para el gran crédito de Full House que me contactaron tan rápido.Y la conclusión es que la comida que recibimos la segunda vez fue de primera clase y la disfrutamos muchísimo. Muchas gracias al propietario y al personal de Full House.Sin duda volveremos a usar esta comida para llevar y lo recomendamos encarecidamente.

For our first foray into the fast food industry in Cockermouth we chose the Full House simply on the basis of the very good reviews on Trip Advisor. It just goes to show that such reviews aren’t necessarily accurate.

Lovely meals, order was ready at the time stated and piping hot. Didn’t have long to wait and price was reasonable.

We we’re staying in Torpenhow and had driven to Cockermouth to do our shopping.Myself and my daughter fancied a Chinese as it was too late to start cooking. We parked in Sainsbury’s and found full house just located on the street behind. My daughter is in a wheelchair and as soon as I reached the door the ownersDaughter came to open it for us we placed our order and waited. The order was ready in no time. We went back to the car and drove the 15 min journey back to our holiday cottage.The food was still piping hot when we plated up and was beautiful. We would 100% recommend this takeaway

Tenía la comida para llevar más increíble, la primera vez, pero no la última visita a casa llena. Tuve el pollo al curry y arroz, el pollo estaba tan tierno y jugoso y la salsa era perfecta. Todos los demás dijeron que disfrutaron de las comidas. El tiempo de entrega fue de 30 minutos y la comida estaba muy caliente.

No where else id rather go for the pure value for money and good chinese! It must be busy becuase the phones are always engaged

Fui para una comida para llevar y era escéptico porque había escuchado cosas malas. Sin embargo, la comida se hizo rápidamente y fue muy agradable! Los "pequeños" chips de sal y pimienta fueron una gran parte, por lo que definitivamente los obtendremos nuevamente. 2 comidas principales, 2 lados y 1/4 pato llegaron a 20. . . Noches de comida brillante.

No es nuestro habitual ir a la comida para llevar y siempre me han decepcionado las anteriores comidas para llevar chinas y sentadas, pero este lugar tiene todos los cajones marcados. First visit and very impressed. Very reasonable prices, polite and fast service. Most importantly, good amounts of meat in the fried rice dish which actually tasted of pork, very nice indeed. Very happy with this take away, looking forward to working through their dishes on offer.

We Order full house quite a lot and the food is always to a good standard and the delivery is always speedy, albeit we usually order not on days when they might be busier.

A popular takeaway which serves excellent dishes at reasonable prices.Always fast friendly service even during busy times at weekends.Food is prepared in full view with the salt and pepper chips the best i have ever tasted.Highly recommend.

We came here for a takeaway one night. We decided to make our own banquet by ordering a few things between us. We ordered spring rolls, seaweed, a sauce, salt and pepper chips & a main. I think it cost £13 and there was plenty, if not too much for the two of us. The service is always friendly.

Normally you don't have to wait long for your food, but this last time, I know they were very busy, but the food did not seem up to their normal standard. I will still go back though.

Mixed starter good except the spare ribs were about an inch long. However the quality of the meat was disgraceful in the mains. Beef curry was atrocious and chicken dishes not much better. Really need to source quality ingredients.

I love the food here but I’ve noticed this time I was up a lot during the night feeling very thirsty - weirdly no one else was though. The food is exceptional here, really tasty however the salt and pepper chips felt like they had been warmed up, so they were not as nice as usual. The service is good and it is prepared really quickly. Will return soon.

Vine aquí para recoger una comida para llevar a mi casa los padres la noche antes de mi boda. Todos optamos por lo mismo - Pollo arroz frito. Ahora no sé si era porque estaba tan hambriento, pero fue uno de los mejores arroces fritos de pollo que hemos tenido incluso! Sin duda elegir este plato desde aquí. Grandes porciones, la sabrosa comida a precios razonables y el personal agradable. Genial.

We tryed this for the first time see if it was worth not having to drive so long. It's not I would have rather drove to Manchester! Order was wrong, sweet n sour sauce was thick and tasteless. Not happy

Pedí un llevar a las 6 de la tarde sonó 50 minutos más tarde me dijeron que intentó entregar, pero el hombre no podía subir las escaleras (también hay un ascensor) y que pronto sería entregado por algunos. Casi 2 horas más tarde me llamó otra vez para ver donde estaba a sólo dieron excusas terrible la cancele. Terrible servicio al cliente. NUNCA la orden de ellos.

De hecho, todos sufrimos calambres estomacales más tarde en la noche después de comer. Intenté encontrar su clasificación de higiene para la tienda. No estaban en la exposición de todos modos. Para llevar hermoso, caliente muy sabroso y abundante. Solicitar por teléfono y recolectados dentro de 35 minutos, amable personal encantador y agradable modales para llegar un agradecimiento muy de vez en cuando. Casa llena es una visita que vale la pena, gran menú también. .

Esta es una buena comida para llevar china de calidad. Todos los viejos favoritos se sirven aquí, así como algunos nuevos. Calidad todavía es buena, el tamaño de la porción es excelente!

On the rare times that i get a takeaway i always go here and have never had a bad meal yet. Their singapore fried rice is excellent and never have to wait more than 5 mins.

Friends recommended so on way back from day out called ahead so delivery would arrive at same time as me. Gave address clearly and slowly including post code and phone number. One and a half hours later I called as no food had arrived. Driver had been unable to find us as the take away had given incomplete address! Phone number was incorrect. 2 hours 15 mins later it arrived. My dish was sweet and sour which I did not order! Too hungry to care but probably wont use again. Tip for driver who was very aplologetic and must have had a nightmare trip : Make sure you have all the address before setting off.

Having had very poor slat and paper chips previously we had another go. Ordered a couple of dishes and a large salt and Pepper chips . They were superb and a huge improvement from last visit !.

We have just found this place and have never had a bad meal since we started to use it.The food is cooked very fast for you and the quality is excellent you always get prawn crackers which is nice.

Have had takeaway from there many times and the alt and pepper chips are superb ..... usually !!This time dry , and lacking in flavour .. 3 thin slices of chilli and two tiny pieces of onion . Would have only reared as 1 star but usually very good so poor rating ... need to improve

I’ve visited here quite a few times recently. The customer service is excellent - the counter staff are really friendly. There is an extensive and varied menu, all reasonable priced. The food is usually very good. The only thing that bothers me is that the chips are frozen and sometimes taste like they have been warmed up. Because the customer area is so small, when you walk in the door a smoky smell hits you in the back of the throat and always makes me cough. I don’t know what it is but you do get used to it after a few minutes.

I came here for a portion of Salt n Pepper chips. There was a bit of a queue to order but once ordered the chips came immediately. They must be made up ready rather than made to order. They were piping hot and the portion was huge even though I'd only ordered a small. Bargain at £1.80.

What can I say?Great food! Large portions! Value for money!If you order on a Friday or Saturday place your order early as it gets really busy!Enjoy

Some time's when you place a phone order with some of the local chippys, it is never ready when they say, but on the times I have used the full house, it is always there.

Stopped here after work for a takeaway. Was cooked there in front of me in minutes. Got home and it was loverly and very big portions with loads of meat. Will return.

We didn't even go past the front door ! We were put off by the chef smoking outside the shop front door . Not very hygienic . Not sure how many hygiene stars they have as they weren't on display ? Definitely will Not be eating food from here

We tried this hidden gem few weeks ago for a change, and was pretty impressed.The staff are very friendly, the service was fast, and most importantly, the food was tasty.Very reasonably priced too!!All in all, a very pleasant visit!

Amazing Satay Chicken from here. The rest of the food is lovely. I have heard mixed reviews but we have enjoyed it every time. Always delivered quickly in shorter time than they tell you.
