A very disappointing visit to somewhere we had earmarked for a long time. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon to find a very jaded group staff gathered in a clump behind the till yet no-one seemed eager to come forward to serve us, the girl whose attention I managed to get seemed almost surprised that I needed something from her and questions about ingredients (I am gluten and nut free) were met with bewilderment. A very simple order was turned to complete confusion (double ice creams which were obvious from the fact we asked for 2 flavours turned into singles, only one cup of tea eventually turned up outside even though we ordered two and milk was missing though this was mentioned twice). Seemed like a case of too many cooks...lots of personnel but all very eager for someone else to leap to action rather than themselves and no customer service skills to speak of. I know it was towards the end of the weekend and they were probably tired of being on their feet by 3pm but, really, not a good effort and the worst cafe we have been to since we came to the area. This is the first bad review I have ever given but it needed saying! The venue as a whole could be really great in the right hands but is not being made the most of at all, as per the rest of the Engine Yard where most of the units lay empty, one was annoying shut by 3pm, an hour earlier than advertised, leaving just two shops open and the whole experience was completely lack-lustre, gimmicky and overpriced!

Very over priced went for coffee and cake with family cost over £30 for 4 of us..Lemington drizzle cake was dry with too much sugar coated on top and the cake left a awful taste in your mouth....Bistof rocky road very sickly..definitely will not be revisting any time soon.

Great location, good parking, nice interior surroundings, coffee nice, breakfast rolls a big let down. Bread was dry and seems out of date, bacon and sausage tastless. The engine yard itself seems to be getting a little sparce with various outlets empty. Will be back for coffee at some point but don't think we will have food again. We ate here before Christmas and again the food was a let down. If your passing worth taking a rest and having coffee ot tea bit that's about it.

What a great location. Very friendly service. Easy to park. The food was only very average. My wifes Greek salad was mostly feta. My sausages were cooked until they gave up the ghost.

I felt it was quite an awkward place. You have to book in advance for afternoon tea when in reality it was dry, cheap bread with probably aldi ham in the middle and dry cakes. Upon arrival the owner was leaning over the counter playing on her phone. No customer service. Once the food was placed in front of us I noticed that a hair was in one of the scones. She then replaced it with a small shop bought one. The other scone was very hard and dry. The cups were dirty and we had no spoons. The milk was a little off as if it had been sat on the table all day. Overall not a great experience. I think the whole afternoon tea was chucked together onto a cake stand, put on top of sticky tables, costing a couple of quid but charging people so much more. The whole experience was very awkward and it didn't feel very welcoming in there at all which is sad because it's not the service you would expect from a small local coffee shop. Costa provides a better experience!

Place was filthy and the staff were rude and miserable. Zero customer service, didn’t bother to buy anything after hearing the staff member discussing toilets and moaning for customers to hear. Avoid

Googled a dog friendly pub for lunch as we were in the area. The website stated 12pm opening on Wednesday (the day we were there), but the pub was closed. The sign on the door said they opened at 12pm too. Everything was locked and someone from the business over the road said they opened at 4pm. Please update your opening times when they change.

Popped in this morning for a coffee with my daughter. We were greeted by Andy, oh my goodness, what a lovely chap! He is friendly, courteous and funny! He made us feel extremely welcome and relaxed. Keep up the good work 👏 🤩

I've been coming here regularly since it opened and they do the best coffee. Sadly the service on my last 2 visits has been lacking. On Sunday I came with a friend for Sunday lunch. The girl took our order and the drinks arrived within 10 mins or so. We finished our drinks and still no sign of any food. I had a receipt with the time showing so, after 45 mins, I asked how much longer our food would be. The waitress then said there is a 45 min wait for food. I said we were not told this when we ordered which would have been helpful. The girl said she would push our order through and to be fair gave us a free drink. The food arrived after 1 hour. Today I went in for coffee and cake. This time it was the coffee that was very slow. I had finished my cake and was just sat waiting for the coffee which arrived after 25 mins. Today wasn't particularly busy but I would never come during my lunch hour from work to eat because of how slow the service is. I still love the place and will come when I have plenty if time but it appears there are staffing issues.
