My husband and I shared a couple of gluten free cakes, carrot and polenta with orange and a pot of earl grey tea each with proper cups and saucers, unlike M&S which does not provide saucers anymore! It was a very enjoyable break after our shopping visit before we went home. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.

Ordered one tea and one coffee. The tea was served in a teapot which was badly stained under the spout . The teacup was dirty inside. This was changed when I pointed it out but it should have been noticed before it was brought to the table. The cafe was not busy! The tea tasted rather strange - I could not drink it. On the plus side my husband’s coffee was good.

Ordered macchiato coffee and a croissant. Pot of tea and milk jug appeared. Cafe was not at all crowded, so didn't understand why the mixup. Croissant was stale, and chewy. Not impressed by fake flowers on tables, or overly expensive prices. Will not return.

We came here for a tapas style lunch & ate tasty dishes whilst people watching. I don't think that the dishes are prepared from scratch at the restaurant but it was enjoyable. We ordered several dishes & particularly liked the shared Fuego board which consisted of chacuterie, cheeses, Spanish omelette, vegetables. The Padron peppers were really yummy. We washed this down with a very pleasant House Rose. Service was friendly & jolly.

If you are tired of “pub-grub” or are in search of a light(ish) lunch that will resurrect memories of all the Mediterranean destinations you couldn’t go to in 2020/21 – get yourself to Fuego. It was the sandwich-board in the High Street, showing a plate of cheese and salami that drew us in. So obviously we chose the Fuego Selection sharing-board and were not disappointed. All the items on the board were absolutely first rate, which is exactly what you would expect from an upmarket place such as Fenwick. I initially ordered just a glass of the Chianti, (forgot the producer), as I am not the biggest fan of the Sangiovese grape. This example was absolutely superb and after my wife had tasted it – we ordered a bottle. The whole thing was an absolute joy. The situation of the restaurant will either charm or disappoint you. As we spend a large proportion of our time abroad, (when we could go), “people watching”, our table was perfect. We could watch the comings and goings, as well as eavesdrop on various queries and the occasional complaint. At this point it is worth mentioning the young staff, who were all totally professional and very, very friendly. We enjoyed it so much we extended lunch with a couple of espresso’s and Cognac. Any downsides? Well the winter sun, lying low in the sky, does come through the huge glass windows with some force, albeit on the back of your head. Also the prices aren’t what you could call “a bargain” but in my opinion – absolutely worth every penny.

Fuego has recently opened in the Fenwick store in Canterbury. It serves a good selection of drinks, including a delicious pink peppercorn gin cocktail. The menu has some light bite/ sandwich options, however it is mainly based on a tapas offering. As with all restaurants of this kind, the bill can easily stack up on your quest to get full. I ordered one cocktail, three tapas plates (one of which was a salad), and asked for some bread to soak up the butter from one of the dishes & my part of the bill was >£40. The small slices of sourdough that was offered to me costed £4 on their own. You will get a good meal here, however watch out for the quickly mounting total bill. It is also a shame that they don’t offer a dinner service throughout the week as I believe that this type of offering would really suit an evening.

Decided to try out Fuego in Fenwick Canterbury for my graduation meal with my mother. Oh. My. Word. The food is to DIE for! Was seated and greeted by the lovely Freya who helped talk us through the menu and gave us her personal recommendations! George (I assume he was the manager as he was in a blazer, rather than the uniform) was very welcoming and kept checking back on us. We had the falafel, ham croquettes, a selection of charcuterie, and, my personal favourite, the pork belly skewers 😍! Mum had a steak bocadillo and she was overly satisfied, I’ve never seen her finish a whole meal and it was gone in minutes! Definitely will be returning! The staff were so so friendly, the food was outstanding, the decor was gorgeous, an all round enjoyable luncheon! To see our bill had come to less than £50 considering the amount of food we had, as well as drinks, was a delight. And don’t get me started on the coffee!!!😍 Absolutely splendid! 5 STARS ☺️☺️☺️

Called in on a Sunday morning. No other tables occupied (we should have taken note at that point!) and we were told that there was only drinks and pastries available, no food. That suited us, so we took a table. Only to be presented with a latte and a cappuccino bigger served in cups more suited to expressos!! Two sips and they were gone. Went to pay … told they were £3/coffee - so basically £1.50 a slurp! When the card machine was presented 10%service had been added. Sorry but I asked for it to be removed. Can now see why it was empty!

I was a little anxious because we were the only customers in the restaurant on a Friday lunchtime. However the food was fantastic. It’s difficult to get a juicy succulent chicken taouk, but they nailed it. It was really yummy, all of it. We had a mixed mezzo to start. I would recommend!
