Fry's Fish and Chips in Newcastle upon Tyne

Would not go back , greedy people , when complained said go somewhere else, told my family to stay away. I was going somewhere else anyway , after him saying he had to buy spuds , never mate , but half a potatoe In my chips , greed greed greed , If you go it’s your own fault , I have told you.

Every time I get food from here the chips are cold , the portions are diabolical I got a cone of chips and I’m not joking they had 6 chips and some batter for £1.50 and in a normal bag of chips you don’t even get proper chips you get scrappy sharp bits , I haven’t been here for a while so I though I would give it another go but never again

Just popped for late tea used to be nice food tasted like old oil small portions curry sauce was ok won’t use again

Potions are tiny for price £4 for wrap with 2 chips and 3 strips of kebab

If you’re hungry and a size zero this is the place to go! Do you like salt and vinegar because these love putting a little to less but all in all what a fantastic waste of money

Really disappointing. Our chips were old, definitely not fresh. We asked for batter but this wasn’t included. Wouldn’t order again.

Service very friendly and quick. Food (fish and chips) shared very much by two. The fish is awesome. The fries are underground.

I drive past here most mornings & evenings to & from work so its easy to get too by car , the staff are very pleasant & friendly & helpful here , the food is lush & tasty & the portions are just about the right size , the shop is clean & well kept as is the front parking area, great value for money too, we get our fish & chips here & are never disappointed with them , we love this takeaway & would recommend it to anyone , 10/10 .

Fish used to be chunky and delicious but the last twice I've been found that fish just isn't the same anymore thin and small, chips are the best though

First time there. Fish and chips twice with curry sauce twice £19.50 was abit steep on price,but was nice. Fish cld of been abit more chunky. Wd go again thx guys

Has the best staff it’s a well kept shop and the food is delicious, the best chip shop about hands down!!

Food is good quality but not get your moneys worth only half bag of chips every time not enough to fill a bun then kebab wrap was only half the capacity

Used it not long back, little bit out of my area but was worth the trip. Chips were nice, only had a pie but that was fine too. Will go back at some point

This is now the only place I go now, excellent fish and chips and very friendly staff in very clean surroundings. Order by phone and it's ready in 10 to 15 minutes. Well done Fry's.

Asked for cod bites & chips, waited 15 minutes then when I got home (as the server had her back to me when plating up) found that the cod bites were tiny, for what they charge this IS REALLY disappointing

AMAZING Smokey and chips with an amazing curry sauce!!

Absolutely fantastic ! We have been 3 times to this shop and it has always been to a excellent standard. Sausage, cod bites and kebab meat are all delicious and so are the chips. Reasonably priced aswell which is a bonus and the staff are so polite and friendly. I would recommend to anyone. I am now stuffed with fabulous food. Thank you

Staff friendly fish lovely good value for money

Tried this fish shop for the first time today and WOW! BEAUTIFUL. I ordered 3 haddock with chips and mushy peas and they gave me 4 haddock and charged me for 2 as they said haddock wasn't very big. I though that was very kind and genuine. (The Haddock is still a nice size portion). The place is immaculate and the staff are lovely. I will definitely be going back here for my haddock, chips and mushy peas. Thank you.

Since this has changed hands the food has gone down hill

Food is soooooo good! Been twice within a few days. The new management are fab, so friendly and so are the staff. Always went to the same takeaway but after trying here I won’t be going back to my usual place.

Ok but not the best I've ever had.

Terrible service. Although they cook the fish and chips to order they will serve their friends and regulars first. Waited 10 minutes for 2 potions of chips and 3 people who can in after me left before me
