Frydays Fish And Chips in Telford and Wrekin

Called in on way home from Station pub, Thought we would give it a try . The fish and lovely chunky chips were excellent the Best we have had anywhere in Shropshire in a long while. Tha staff were friendly and the guy cooking was very helpful. All in a good experience.

order placed at 18:25. driver accepted order then did not head to restaurant until 20:40. I had to collect my order from the restaurant in person. restaurant was very helpful, friendly and understanding. taking nearly 2 hours to arrive at a delivery after accepting it is unacceptable.

Thought we would try this place after moving here. Walked 30 minutes to find they are shut. Nothing posted online and still says open on their google opening hours. A small A4 piece of paper on the shutter saying "shut for maintenance" seems to be enough for them. Not thoughtful service at all.

Unfortunately the fish was bland and all you could taste was oil. The chips were rock hard and not enjoyable. Both the curry sauce and mushy peas were like water. The only saving grace was the mixed meat wrap which was lovely

Very ,very good. The food is excellent. Well worth a trip to Oakengates. The best Chippy in Telford. Just had a Pie Box. All Steak Pie,Chips,Sausage and Gravy. Mmmmmmm. So good,so good,as the great James Brown sang.

missing item and refused a refund .

meal brought to the door in a paper bag steak and kidney pie pastry stone cold meat stone cold couldn't eat very poor fish just warm at best 🤔

Love the fc from here but stone cold as the driver sat half way up road and tdecided to turn round after sitting there I was standing waiting, they were not good

Ordered the buffalo cheese burger and it arrived all soggy. Not nice at all which is a shame as this chippy usually does good food.

ordered mixed meat was sent just doner meat very dissapointed as the chicken was for myself ended up with nothing

mixed meat covered in a tandoori sauce which was not in the description. had to leave it as not to my liking. The rest of the order was good.

VIP box chips under cooked kabab doner meat warm in places and cold in other really put us off eating it

Food was brilliant, drink needed to be separated from the food.

Just eat won’t refund me for wrong food delivered without photographic evidence, only just seen email from them and now I can’t claim anything back, won’t be using just eat again

Clearly don’t read orders properly. Disgusting fish covered in salt. Chip portion sizes are awful for 6 pound for a large.

Taste sensation. Arrived quickly. The cod was delicious, chips were good but had better. Would order from them again.

not happy we normally use this place but wont ever again cold batter was soggy chicken burger was overdone and very spicy chips have a wierd smell coming from them musky and pale with black rubbery this was are kids favourite but wont order again all went in the bin never had to complain about this place before ive always recommended it to family and friends

Was greasy not even give it to my dog so terrible everything just not cooked please don't waste money here also delivery was 2 hours no apology or nothing

Ordered Mega Naan Special.. Expecting it to come in the large box.. Disappointed it came in a smaller box, with no salad and Naan breads wrapped in tin foil/not proportioned as it was when in big box.. The little things make the difference Guys Ruined the dining experience a little..

never ordering from here again! Donna wrap was dripping with grease! never put on the sauce I asked for! chips were really greasy also! onion rings under cooked! complete waste of money!

Ordered the mega naan special and a saveloy. The saveloy came as a normal sausage and the mega naan kebab was missing items such as chicken, salad and naan breads so basically 3/4 of what it was. I understand you’re busy but could have informed us.

Usually excellent from here but this order was never delivered. Their phone is obviously for decoration only as never answer it. Never in the year I've been ordering have they answered, not tried often tbf but tonight it would have been appreciated

Beautiful chips and lovely fish in perfectly cooked crispy batter. Fich and chips for two? There was enough there for three. Happy and stuffed. Will definitely buy from Frydays again.

What’s the point having a phone if customers can’t even phone up, I have been calling for the past 20 minutes no answer just cancelled calls.

Food arrived 30 minutes late, which is especially poor considering the food was pre-ordered 2 hours before I requested it to be delivered. The fish and chips meal deal was also missing the peas and curry sauce it was meant to come with. Other than that, food quality was great, portion sizes were just right, just a shame missing the items and the late time

This place is honestly amazing, looking forward to my next order. portion size is always very good and the food is cooked to perfection. You can see in the comments that the staff takes pride in what's served. Keep up the good work guys 🙂

Been ordering for years but don't know what's been happening past few orders. This order, Donner kebab given but ordered chicken, curry sauce was literally water and mushy peas was just slodge. Also naan bread was overcooked and battered sausage, the batter just fell off as undercooked. JE gave refund but still given 5 stars as you normally are good.

Ordered the VIP box, best value for money from any chip shop in Telford. It's packed with kebab meat, chips, onion rings, 2 pitta breads and a really nice fresh salad. I like how they use grease proof paper, so any battered products don't stick. Food is consistently cooked well, with extremely generous portions. My favourite takeaway in Telford.

Food is always good from here, but this time they missed a whole meal, and won't answer their phones!

Absolutely superb. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Ordered the boss box, it was absolutely amazing. Pizza box packed with chips and doner meat with plenty of Jalapeño bites, macaroni cheese bites and mozzarella sticks. Easily enough for 2 - 4 people. The chips was perfectly cooked with the right amount of salt and vinegar. Doner meat was lovely and they even added chilli sauce as requested. Best Jalapeño bites I've ever had! The 3 scallops I purchased was also lovely, not stuck to the paper, crispy and not too greasy. Thanks for my amazing food.

Very greasy leaked through paper and missed both pots of curry sauce …portions are really good and tikka chicken is amazing

this is amazing I asked for batterd savaloy and they did just that it's honestly amazing

the chips were full of batter bits and couldn't eat them, no mayo as requested on the wrap.
