Fry-Inn in Cheshire West and Chester

Just ordered share box with chicken and ribs, food was that well done most was uneatable, chips ok but would perfere not to have them covered in chilli and onions

I had chicken chow mein and my husband had yung chow. Both dishes were horrible. These are dishes we eat regularly. The noodles had a weird taste and smell. Revolting.

noodles were missing from order, I spoke to fry in who said just eat deal with this, can't see any option to request refund. delivery time was supposed to be 35-50 mins it took 90 mins!! delivery was 8pm not 7.45 as the app says! just eat please refund me for my missing item.

Not up to usual standard, chips overcooked, food missing and the gravy was that thick it wouldn't pour out of the pot. Very dissapointed as we had friends round.

I generally don't like to leave negative reviews however I was disappointed in the quality of my meal. Unfortunately my fish was a bit dry inside the batter, my chips were cold and soggy (didn't seem freshly cooked) and the mushy peas were more water than peas. What a shame.

I have often given 5 stars to Fry Inn, but since it has changed hands I am so Dissapointed. not sure I would order again after the last couple of orders

Overall it's nice enough. The extensive menu caters for everyone. They do really well to maintain the flavours in the dishes somewhere between the authenticity/tradition to balance (Nothing overpowering or overwhelming) so if you haven't had something before, try something new.

Do not order from here 2 hours and 15 mins late! Ordered at 18:55 it turned up at 21:20 I’ve been a customer here for years. Massively gone down hill. I’ll never order from here again

awful food first time ordering won't ever again cold soggy chips and greesy. orded kabab and just put loads of chips and small amount of donna meat on top terrible for £9 didn't ask for donna meat and chips horrible food.

Slow service. Didn't offer free chips with our omelette despite it being on the paper menu. On the wall it is crossed out. No pleasantries exchanged and we were the only customer in there!

food was cold by time it got here, chips had gone slightly hard due to it. had to reheat everything. not very good temperatures for any of it. maybe just due to new year but still should be served hot

Initial delivery time just kept being extended - and we asked for cheese on kids burger, battered sausage which weren’t done, and no drinks with kids meals even though they were selected. Quality has really gone down in recent months sadly.

very disappointed with my order I asked for meat and potato pie was sent chicken pie the gravy was full of lumps and the chips were only warm I will not be ordering of them again.

Spent just over £60 this evening on an order for a family get together. We received the order around 45 minutes later than expected, which you could accept if the food was of a satisfactory standard and all there as ordered and paid for… multiple items missing, called the fry inn to be told to register a complaint with just eat as they can’t do anything, given it’s not a delivery issue it’s the restaurant who haven’t provided the items ordered I find this perplexing. The gentleman on the phone was not courteous and was unapologetic to loyal customers who live not half a mile away and have frequently visited over the years without issue. Multiple family members and loyal customers lost after tonight, mistakes happen however the way you rectify them or fail to treat your customers with any respect and loyalty is make or break - in this case break.

Order had multiple items missing and now my family member is sat crying because she didn’t have her food and they refused to help and send out the missing items, while everyone else ate. Gutted seeing my family like this over something that could’ve been easily resolved. Will not return ever again, loyal customer of 12 years through various management changes.

Salt and Pepper Chicken overcooked and sauce cold on delivery. Sausage was ok though as were the chips.

Used to be my “go to” takeaway as food was guaranteed to be amazing and piping hot but this and last couple of deliveries have been truly awful. Delivery time is fast but the food has been cold and unpleasant to eat. Time to give up as something has drastically changed in the last month or so. Very disappointed.

Great fish and chips. Wide variety menu. Chinese is okay but expensive.

I ordered from this restaurant due to the delivery time saying 15-30 minutes. The time kept changing longer and longer. We ended up getting the food well over an hour after. When the food came it did not seem fresh and I suspect it had been sitting there waiting for a driver. I put in a complaint about it being cold to only get a very partial credit. I think I will be using Uber eats next time as I have experienced this issue with just eat on a couple of occasions now

Chips were black unable to eat this. Fryinn seems to be getting worse standards have dropped. Also delivery man rang me saying he was outside my house to which he wasnt 15 minutes later he arrives trying to tell me it was a different place....no mate

Firstly, great food. Very good quality. Surprised by the bad reviews can only think that people may have ordered for delivery and that may be why the quality wasn’t great but I ordered for collection on a Friday evening and the food was brilliant. Ordered for collection for 6:20 but only walked out with the food at 6:45. It was very busy so will let them off. Still, it was worth the wait and I will for sure go back.

can’t believe the standard of food we have just had delivered. We had the salt and pepper chicken which used to be the best here. What came tonight was in a pinkish sauce and it was awful. Nothing at all like it used to be. I saw a comment that the although there are a new owners, they have the same se chef. No chance. We’ve never had anything so diabolical from here. Over cooked cold chips, cold lumpy and bland curry sauce. Last time for us. Really expensive as well. Shame but won’t use again.

Salt and pepper chciken very large portion, hot spicy crispy and tasty with plenty of veg. Chips were proper chippy chips and really tasty. Would definitely order from again.

Food was only luke warm when we got it home & half the portion it used to be before it changed hands recently. Been regular customers here for a long time but I think it's now time to change our Friday night take out treat

Best thing to happen to our chippy in years

Normally brilliant here but we were disappointed tonight. The chop suey roll was spicy which you don’t expect and I wouldn’t have ordered it if I’d known. A portion of chips were forgotten and when we called we were told we’d have to get a refund from Just Eat or go to the shop. Completely appreciate the order is delivered by Just Eat but it meant a incomplete meal and extra cost. Hoping it’s a one off as the Fry inn is our regular.

Delivery time kept changing. We have used the fry inn for years and it’s such a shame to see such a fab chippy go so downhill since it changed hands. We ordered 2 small fish and chips with an extra curry and with delivery it was £23. What we received was lukewarm. This fish was not great and the chips were undercooked. The curry had a layer of grease on the top and wasn’t nice at all. That was fry inns last chance for us and such a shame to turn our back on somewhere that’s been a go to for us

Fish, chips and peas nowhere near usual high standard. Chips were scraps, fish greasy and peas very watery. As for the delivery it was truly awful. Driver demanding so much information you would think he was handing over the Crown Jewels! Awful experience where normally I have nothing but praise.

I go in at the weekend when the place was busy but not too busy. Must have said three times that I wanted a doner with all the salad, chips on the side (cos they go soggy imo) Get home and this is what I got. No pita or salad & chips dumped on top. New Fry Inn is rubbish Prices up, service down. Never had one bad takeaway with the old owners. First and last time for me.

Prices up, portions down. If you order a small chips, check they haven't mistaken your request for a micro-portion. They'll charge the same, either way. A real pity as the family owners who previously ran the Fry-Inn gave great service and a product that was worth the cost.

Portions are tiny and kebab was mediocre!! Should have learnt my lesson the first time I visited and got ripped of then!! Never again 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣

Deliverer refused to give meal without number, (1st time). As a stroke victim paralysed down one side I had to go back to my computer to retrieve the number while my meal was going cold. The meal I tried was not nice. Never again!

I watched the driver drive 15 mins away from the chip shop in the opposite direction, then 15 mins back and on to my address 5 mins away from chip shop. No wonder the food was cold and the chips were hard!!! Need to do better. We never had this problem under the previous owners!!!
