Fry Days in Amber Valley

We went for take away and really enjoyed our meal. I'm not Cealiac but am wheat intolerant. I was prepared just to have chips, but the owner was very kind and cooked me a beautiful pan fried piece of fish in olive oil. It was absolutely delicious! The chips were also not greasy, and were also very, very tasty. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be going back. The owner was very welcoming too.

I called in yesterday to get a couple of bags of chips for builders that were do a job for me, it was very nice to be served by a friendly team at Fry days and the chips were the best. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

fish is now not as nice as it used to be, also went tonight less chips than last week, staff are very friendly its very clean

Called here on way home from work I had chips peas and sausage Partner had fish Food served fast my chips etc was nice and hot and good The fish was fresh but disappointed that the batter was a bit soggy and not Crispy

Returned having enjoyed last visit to be very disappointed Staff eating themselves when went in asked me to wait then did not offer to wash there hands prior to serving me. Fish soggy batter not nice at all cannot say enjoyed chips either

Always a fabulous Friday fish and chips treat always hot and tasty and loads too only downside for me is the batter is a bit wet where it's been stood but we order flush bits to.compensated and they are delicious

This is my local chippy and as such I've never really considered giving it a review however I think it needs one. The (always) friendly team behind the counter can sort out all your food requirements. All the usual fare from fish ( Haddock, Cod etc ) battered sausage, fish fingers, chicken etc. I prefer the Haddock myself which normally comes with skin on but a quick request and they will do skin off if you require. The chip portions are large, I find a cones worth of chips is more than enough to accompany a fish, a regular chips will feed a couple of people. Anyway, great service and quality but some things are cooked to order so mention that when you walk in to save time. If you go on a Friday, be prepared to queue up outside as the place is very popular. Worth a visit, you won't regret it.
