No volveremos.

Popped in on way back from visiting Beatrix Potter's Hill Top. It's a tiny out of the way ta room with just a couple of tables in doors and some outdoor seating. Nice section of cakes & nibbles. We just had a cuppa and a latte. I write this review because the cup of tea was served in clear glass jar with handle and the milk presented in a small clear glass milk bottle that evoked memories of my milk at prep school. It was fun and different and it made me smile. A very large cup of tea for a very thirsty rambler! Coffee was good too but the tea I shall remember for a long time! Seek out this little gem for the biggest cup of tea in the lakes!!

Superb spot to find at the end of a walk. Great selection of food and drink at a fair price with friendly service too.

Great setting. Very friendly service. Lots of nice touches. But we thought it was too pricey given that the scones were not 100% fresh.

Take the Cross Lakes ferry from pier 3 at Bowness or go cheap on the chain ferry, then its a very pleasant 2 mile walk to Frithy's - just long enough to stoke up the hunger. There are plenty of signs to guide on the way. We had soup and a avocado salad bap. Simple food well prepared and keen prices. Two small tables inside and a few in the outside garden. Vegetarian options available. Also locally-made preserves to buy. Recommended.

Slightly off the B5285 is the small tea room named "Frithy's". The owner was very friendly and helpful and we ordered freshly cooked jacket spuds with tea and cakes. There is also an outside seating area and space to park bicycles where you can keep an eye on them.

Excellent food and service on a busy Thursday night. Pre booked a table of 5 (3 adults and 2 children aged 11 & 13) plus dog. The steak & ale pie was really tasty and the wife enjoyed the chicken burger. Very oldie worldie pub inside with lots of character. Will definitely call here again when we are up in the Lakes.

Casual eatery with indoor and outdoor seating. One of us had a streak and ale pie with mushy peas and chips which was excellent. Two of us shared the incredible pork knuckle which came with perfect sides that all worked nicely together.

Breakfast completely disorganized and missing things, there was no hot water while I was staying. Cleaning leaves a lot to be desired, not replacing things in the bathroom. Visible lack of staff. The only thing that was good was the location.
